Been coming here for years and years. My dad introduced me to it long ago. We loved it so much it was like are go to place for any celebration or birthday. When I started dating my now husband I introduced it to him and now he loves it. We actually had our rehearsal dinner here where we had over 50 people come and they handled us very well. Wait can be long so I always try to make reservations. There usual pretty good about reservations and getting us seated quickly. Now the food! The meat very good of course! I have lots of favorites cants name them all. But try it all, even ones you don't look good you'll be surprised. I love there Brazilian lemonade. It's so good! I don't like the flavored ones just the plain one is the best. Salad bar is probably one of the best salad bars ever. I mean as for salad toppings anything your heart can desire is there. Tons of different pasta salads I never really get thoughts but they look great. Sushi is also at the salad bar but I suggest not getting that. It's terrible quality, I am a sushi snob though. Cheese bread is a must! Which they use to bring it to your table years ago now it's at the buffet which is much better cause you can get as many as you want without asking your waiter for more. I have started the Keto diet. Tucanos is perfect for it. Veggies on the bar, a variety of meets, and you can request the fatty pieces. Rump, and top sirloin, and anyting bacon-wrapped. If you're doing keto a would avoid the pineapple the barbecue chicken and the cod fish. though I have to admit I do get the codfish butt and small amounts because it's so delicious. read more

This place just moved to by the mall. Terrible service now. We went 15 minutes without getting meat (just pineapple and the vegetables, which are still great). The manager came over and they immediately brought more meat but it was followed by another lull of nothing. We also went for a birthday, and they didn't even sing. This Churrascaria receives props just for having amazing seafood rotating around on the skewers in addition to all the delicious meats! My husband is Brazilian so I have been to sooo many Churrascaria's, and this is the one and only one that has offered grilled shrimp, sole, salmon, cod, everything... so yummy. And the Feijoiada (Beans) is extremely delicious - tastes just like homemade. I love the pon de queijo, but for the sake of keeping it hot and fresh, they might want to move it from the buffet, to individual baskets on the tables. One other suggestion: the palm hearts were not tender at all. I have never had "hard" palm hearts til I came here. But that doesn't warrant taking a star off! Yummy! read more

Solid four stars! Tucanos is a very interesting experience and is definitely worth checking out at least once. They have a decent salad/side bar with some good stuff but the star of the show here is definitely the meat. Most of the meat is good but there are only a few items that are excellent (thus the 4 stars rather than 5) like the bacon-wrapped turkey. They also have some more unique items in the back if you ask for them (like chicken hearts). If you're a vegetarian, this place is not for you. If you are starving and love good meat, you owe it to yourself to try this place. read more

If you save room for dessert, I highly recommend the chocolate cake. It is fantastic. The salad bar is extensive, but I don't really like any of its offerings. Except the pan de quejio. Those little cheesey bread balls are que delicioso. The crab and mango sushi isn't bad either. By far my favorite of their offerings is the garlic sirloin, closely followed by the brisket and any of their fish. Chicken hearts are not my thing, sadly. Go hungry - we generally aim to eat there at around 2 pm having eaten nothing else all day. This ensures that we miss the crowds, we're sufficiently starving, and we don't have to have dinner other than a light snack later in the day. The Brazilian lemonade comes with free refills. Such great food, fun atmosphere, fantastic staff, especially our waiter, Mitch, who's pearly white smile and Brazilian charm was so persuasive that he almost got me to try all of the deserts even though I'm lactose intolerant. This is where I was introduced to Brazilian Grills. I can still smell the sweet smell and here the sizzle. They have this system that lets them know to open the flood gates or when to stop. I had been there a couple times mostly lunch and it was not to busy. I went once for dinner ( that wonderful grandmother in law was having a birthday party) I think that night I ate too much. Went here on a business dinner. My suppliers raved and raved about this place. I expected the same considering a reservation was mandatory on a Tuesday and we still waited 30 minutes. However, I was not overly wowed. The meat was fine but only two cuts really made me want a repeat. The salad bar was just average. Since its utah getting drinks is extremely slow. My coworker ordered captain morgan and when he wanted a second was told he had the last of the bottle. We couldn't order doubles and we were capped at 3 drinks an hour... not what we expected. The dessert tray which is extra is nothing to be excited about and we all passed. There are better brazilian places out there. This didn't hold a candles to the real ones in rio. read more

Do you want tons of tasty meat? Then this is the place. My favorites are the garlic sirloin and the Cod. The price is a little steep, but for the amount of good quality food it can be expected. There is no wait time since the salad bar is always open and they are continuously bringing meats around. We came on a Father's Day weekend special. My wife and I really prefer Tucanos over Rodizio's. Tucanos have more salad bar selections and I don't know about you, but the ambiance is a lot better in Tucanos. Must be the lights and more windows. Their service is really fast and you'll be on your first meat right after you've gone to your first salad bar selection. That's really great since you get the meat available outright. They have hope you're doing good selection for non-meat lover as well. Tucanos is great for celebrations and hosting friends and families as well who haven't had experience Brazilian dining. Tucanos is a must-visit if you're in Provo & Hungry! A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I worked at Park City for the 2002 Olympics. I lived in Provo. My buddy recommended we go to Tucanos one evening. It was delicious. Fast forward 8 years, and while I on Vacation with my wife, I made sure we made a trip to Tucanos! In my opinion, if a restaurant is good enough to remember almost a decade later, then it must be pretty good. And we were not disappointed! My wife & I hiked up to Bridal Veil Falls before we went to Tucanos. It was early May & the mud season hadn't really started yet, so we were rewarded with a beautiful hike & were able to really work up an appetite. I strongly recommend being hungry before visiting Tucanos. There is so much wonderful food to experience, but beware, if you gobble and gobble, you will be full before you try all of the things they have to offer! There is a huge salad & side bar with many different things to choose from. The meats is brought to your table in increments, to be shaved or shorn off of a large skewer (Hence, Brazilian Style Grill). We tried everything that they had to offer, and out of the approximately 15 different meats, there were probably 4-5 that knocked my socks off. My personal favorite was the Garlic Steak. The whole point of Tucanos is to eat a little of a lot, not a lot of a little, so my recommendation is TRY EVERYTHING, then if you especially liked something, they will bring you more. Also, you might want to consider water as your beverage, because if I had ordered a soda, I might have exploded. The grilled pineapple was really flavorful & we had a few rounds of that over the course of the meal. My wife loved it! I also really liked the BBQ chicken. We both enjoyed the salad bar so much that we went back for more. Try the fried bananas when they bring out fresh ones, they won't last long. My favorite hot vegetable was by far & away the collared greens (or mixed greens). The service was excellent & while you do have an assigned waiter/waitress to fill your drinks etc, everyone is there to help you, and they are very friendly. One server knew we were waiting for more grilled pineapple, and he went and got us a fresh one and let us have the majority of it, so that we wouldn't have to wait for more to come out. Everyone is all smiles & there must be something funny about watching people try all these delicious foods because they really seemed to enjoy their jobs! Bonus, we made it in time for the lunch pricing, which basically made this excellent meal cost about what you might spend at Chilis or Olive Garden for 2 people. I think our bill was around $30 & we tipped 33% because it was worth it to be around people who treated us so well! I don't know when I will be back in Utah, but you can bet when I am, I will find my way to Tucanos! read more

Our lunch at Tucanos may have been the best dining experience I've ever had. I love all-you-can-eat Brazilian meat places, and this is far and away the best one I've ever been to. The ambiance is very nice and feels like a fancy restaurant, but the servers were very family-friendly. Their beef brisket is to die for, and the rest of their meats were fantastic. The salad and pasta and fresh fruit were all very tasty too. Our only complaint is that they don't have any dessert options on the buffet, since they want to upsell you. We joined their birthday club, which meant they mailed us a postcard good for a free meal anytime during our birthday month. Tucanos is always a great, but the last couple if times the service hasn't been great. Our table requested the same meat about 10 times, and finally a manager brought it out for us, probably because we were just sitting there and waiting. The garlic beef was so burnt the server literally chipped it off the skewer. It wasn't edible. Ham that was so dry you couldn't chew it. We only make an outing like this for special occasions, so far, Tucanos at the new location has failed miserably. read more

My husband spent a couples years in Brazil and he would agree that Tucanos is better, especially their salad bar, it has more options making the value better too. It's quite good for people who never tried Brazilian grill before. Their salad bar has plenty of selections; including shrimp salad that taste more like Shrimp Ceviche and some pasta. Their meat selection is quite good if you are a meat lover. The wait staff are very attentive and keep asking you what else that you want. I had a very poor experience with the service at this restaurant. The waitress made a mistake on the bill, which is not unforgivable. However, rather than accept a fairly simple mistake (she lost a discount card that we put in the bill sleeve), she proceeded to argue/talk back to us. I hoped that the manager would be amiable, but instead he was flatly rude. It wasn't until another waiter found the card on the floor that either party would listen. Meat, meat, meat. If you like juicy meat this is your place. I go on an empty stomach cause there is a lot of food. Brazilian barbecue is at its best when eating here. You don't have to worry about what you're going to eat cause the meat just keeps coming. A server goes around to all tables having a green block indicating you want more, flipping the block to red tells them you're stratified. After a quick break I turn mine to green again and get my money's worth of food. Aside from all the different variations of grilled beef, chicken, pork, fish, pineapple - there is also a full Brazilian salad bar. This is a great place for nay taste. Too bad we don't have Tucanos here in Hawaii. This place is delicious. I need not explain how to eat here as they will explain when you go there. The meat and grilled vegees and pinapple come on the skewers that are brought to the table with the green block up. They rotate what meats they bring to your table and you choose how much or how little you'd like. The buffet has your fried cheese bread (I dare not type it since it's Portuguese but it's "pao de... something") It also has your salad, rice, beans, pastas, etc. Such delicious food and in a family friendly atmosphere. Their limeades and lemonades are good too. I got raspberry and it was delicious delicious delicious! It comes with free refills too. Not only is the food great but also the staff. They are very friendly and can recommend what to get and what not to get. The only regret is that we were so full by the end of the meal that we didn't have room for dessert! Will I eat here again? I'm happy to report that after a few visits that weren't up to par with the Tucanos that Utah County residents have come to know and love, Tucanos management reached out and made a sincere and valiant effort to prove that they're still worthy of being one of our favorite sit-downs in the valley. The meats that we had noticed were under-cooked or gristly on our two or three previous visits were back to being perfectly cooked and top quality. A favorite of ours, the fraldinha, is back and just as just as good as it has always been. Apparently, we weren't the only ones who missed it once it had gone, and Tucanos listened to the feedback of their customers and brought it back, which we were really pleased to hear. Service is still good, as it always has been. One thing Tucanos has always done right is hired great people and trained them exceptionally well. Chad was a new server who was wrapping up his training, but hats off to him- he was awesome to us and deserves the tip of our cap. I said in my last review of Tucanos that we would probably only go if we had birthday certificates, because we felt like it was no longer worth paying the full price of two meals. Trust me when I say that they are absolutely worth every penny. We'll most likely be spending our next night out here at one of our favorite places in Provo. read more

If you want as much meat as possible this is a great place. I was hoping for a little more variety and options but it was over all good. As a meat fanatic I might be over critical but the meat was good but not great. Also the really good cuts only made it over once in the 1 hour we were sitting. Salad bar was just average, obviously most people don't go for the salad and I didn't care that much but I did want a few fiberous options to help with the digestion of 2.5 lbs of meat. I haven't been to Tucanos for years, we finally decided to go with some friends. At first everything was great. The pineapple lemonade was fantastic! The salad festival was amazing, everything was so fresh. We ordered their special for the night, a couple shrimp skewers, when they came out, they were burnt and had little flavoring. No big deal we thought, the peel and eat shrimp on the salad festival made up for it. The different options of meat were continually offered, the gentlemen offering them, very courteous and kind. But we missed out on having a server for most of the time we were there. I finished my lemonade and had to wait over 10 minutes to see her again for a water. Then we waited another 10 to get the water. We started slowing down and didn't want any more meat....... Where was our server? We had to flag down a manager to go find her. She came back and asked if we wanted any desserts too go. Didn't offer any desserts to stay, didn't mention creme brulee to us and then offered it to the table next to us. We would have ordered two of those. Very disappointed. We waited and waited for our check. Flagged down another manager to find her and our checks. Overall, the waiting and no drink refills killed the experience for me. read more
