As advertised and expected. No more no less. For where it is it's pretty good. Service was good.

I've heard great things about Burger Pioneers so I have always wanted to give them a go. I was in…read morePleasant Grove on a windy Saturday and Burger Pioneers was calling my name for some lunch. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I definitely thought they were in a more centralized location. They are not too far from State Street but not close to too many other businesses either. The great news is, they have a wide open parking lot with plenty of spaces. Their food truck is super cute. It hardly looks like a truck and resembles more of a massive wagon. They really went all out with the branding and I am here for it. With it being a parked food truck, they didn't have a lobby or an inside but they did have some tables and chairs right outside their truck. Upon approaching the truck, a guy came to stand beside me and take my order. I was not 100% sure what I wanted but I elected for their signature burger with fries. He said that he could bring it out to my car once it was ready, which I extra appreciated because it was not a very nice day out. My total was just shy of 20 bucks, at $19.27. I sorta understand. I mean, they're a local food truck and it seems that they strive to provide much better quality food than other fast food places...but this is pretty steep for just a burger and fries. The food did seem to come out pretty fast and I was excited to try it. The onion on the burger was a bit large, it was almost an inch thick and I think I would've preferred it cut up just a little more. The fries were pretty good but tasted a bit greasier than I would've liked. I did like that it came with a fry sauce. All in all, I really liked Burger Pioneers. I felt that all the flavors were a bit overpowering and almost bitter because of the greasy taste, but it wasn't a bad burger spot. I hope to be back when the weather is nicer with some friends. This is probably such a cute, fun spot in the summer time!

We've passed by a couple times and have seen 4-6 people here everytime, so decided to try this!…read moreOnce we arrived, I believe the owner came out to get our order. We ordered the frontier mushroom Swiss burger as a combo (with waffle fries and canned soda drink). I saw a lot of good reviews for the waffle fries, so I was excited about that. I also only ordered one to share, as the reviews said the portion was large. Taste: The burger was a little bit more on the oily side, but the meat was tender and had great flavour! The waffle fries were also nice and crispy, which I loved. Size: We ordered 1 to share for lunch, and it was the perfect amount. However, if you're super hungry, I recommend ordering your own. Price: It was a little pricey for one burger combo ($14). But I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again! Location: This truck is located on the side of the road, with rocks on the floor and by a lot of parked trailers/cars. The tables were a little wet as it has snowed this week, but the chairs were dry and comfortable. I also saw that they had a standing heater, but it wasn't turned on. I was told that they are parked here in the winter, but move around during the summer for festivals and events. They opened on October 21, 2022.

Just went here for my very first crab boil experience and I was pleasantly surprised…read more The menu wasn't too overwhelming since I've been watching crab boil mukbangs for over a year and already knew exactly what I wanted. However for a second we were a little confused about what was considered shareable versus a one person dish, but our server was amazing and stayed to explain everything to us. (Apparently most are shareable depending on your appetite) We added a couple drinks to our tab. I tried the blended specials margarita with tajin on the rim and my husband ordered a blended Sex on the Beach. I'll give it a 9 out of 10 only because the bendy heart straws were super cute but kind of a mess to drink out of. We also ordered the Mr and Mrs Crab shots. They weren't anything too special but the flavor was still decent. Both my kids ordered from the kids menu and I was honestly impressed by how good their food looked. My son had the fried shrimp with mac and cheese and my daughter ordered the chicken wings. The portions were great and the quality was impressive. Truthfully it is one of the better kids menus I've seen in a while. 10/10 no notes. Now for the main event. My husband ordered the #Crabfam Classic and I built my own boil with snow crab, mussels, head off shrimp, potatoes, corn, and an egg. We both chose the Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning at a medium heat level and we were not disappointed. I have not had seafood this good in Utah. Florida girl here with a semi San Francisco husband, so I would say we have standards. The seasoning was perfect and the shrimp was cooked just right. The spice level was spot on, but I think I could have gone even hotter. At the end of it all it only cost $140ish for a full family of 4 and that included drinks, imo a great price for what you get! The overall vibe of the place was great, I drive past this spot all the time and never see many people there. If you are in American Fork or near Lehi High, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

And the restaurant was not busy. I don't want a server to hover, but it took a while to get a water refill. The food was quite good. Surprised by how good the hush puppies were. Sometimes they tend to be dry but these were just right and very flavorful. Also got the crab fam classic. Appreciated the server input on the garlic butter. You can get seasoned or not. We got seasoned and it had great flavor along with good garlic butter. The amount of food received was not quite what other places have, but the flavor was on point and the meats cooked well. I would definitely go back and hope they are able to stick around.
