Let's start with the good. Great quality fish, excellent taste, sauce, and flavor. It's very similar to true Hawaiian poke. The bad. There was 5 of us, one worker. I ordered my bowl first and asked for black rice. He forgot and gave me white, but I said nothing because I ordered a X-Large bowl, and didn't want him to waste any of it. The bowls are very pricey. Also, there is only four fish options. Shoyu tuna, spicy tuna, shrimp, and octopus. There are zero toppings, which is fine, you can really taste the quality of the fish, but I was wanting some texture, like edamame, or cucumber, or avocado, something. A few of us (not me because my bowl was made first), got some frozen cubes of fish. I'm assuming they keep the fish frozen until ready for use, so that was off putting for a few of us. Went to the Millcreek location, I'm hearing the Orem might be better but it was decent! Super clean facility, but definitely not a place to sit and hang. Pretty small. Got a large shoyu and it was pretty tasty! Even my toddler enjoyed it and usually it's not his fav! It was a softer texture, not super firm or cold but still tasty. This is the best poke you'll have in Utah! We get their spicy tuna/crab, shoyu ahi, and their kimchi garlic shrimp. All are tasty and fresh. It's a family-owned spot so the service is always hospitable and friendly. It's a well kept, cozy, and clean dining space with plenty of parking. We drive over a half hour just to get their food, so I'm glad they're finally opening locations in the greater SLC area! read more

I felt bad for the lone employee today as the power had gone out and she was desperately trying to get the rice cooker going. She let me and other patrons know it would be a while before our orders would be ready. All good, things happen, so I waited. Ended up being about 40 minutes but she was nice and professional. My issue was, after waiting so long for my meal I was ready to have some great poke (reviews brought me here). Quality though, was very questionable. The Ahi tuna was extra slimy and completely drenched in sauce, (as if to hide how slimy the meat was). This happens when the fish is starting to go bad. I had half before I tapped out, worried I'd just get sick. Really bummed to not have some solid poke. I'd love to give the place another shot but I'm worried it would just be the same. read more

First off the service was great. The tuna is flavorful the rice is plain I like that they have three different flavors of tuna. I feel like there's a dimension or two missing to how good the food looks in pictures versus what you really get the rise needs its own flavor versus just being a pit on the bottom of the tuna maybe a sauce for the rice optional, as of now taste like premium dog food if I were to ever eat that . Nonetheless being a new business, I see it thriving if it can address a few things by adding maybe a side of veggies or something along those lines with the flavor of the tuna. Just discovered this amazing little place in Orem. Best shoyu and spicy ahi tuna poke I've had in a long time! The portions are generous, the service was fast and friendly. We ate there at one of the few tables, then took home another half pound each of both poke flavors.
