    Lechon Kawali
    Rei B.

This place and the food made my little Filipino heart so happy! The owners were super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We ordered the combo 2 (rice & 2 entrees), we got the pork adobo and pork sinigang. The pork adobo was tender and so flavorful! The pork sinigang was the star of the meal, it was sour just how we like it and loaded with lots of vegetables! It definitely reminded me of my Mamas cooking, so so delicious! We also got Lechon Kawali, you can tell it's made to order because it was hot and crispy. Our kids enjoyed the lumpia Shanghai, it had great crunch and was very tasty! The portions of the food were generous and enough to share! We saved room for dessert and got the flan, which was good. And my favorite, their Bilo Bilo! The flavors and different textures were chefs kisses! I wish this place was closer to us (we are an hour drive away) because I would probably be eating here everyday!

I really want to love Filipino food but I guess I'm just not a fan. I did the combo meal, 3 entrees with a small scoop of rice, really not enough for the amount of food and you really need it to balance out the strong flavors. I got this pork soup that had mustard greens that had a nice acidic kick to it. The other options were very similar in taste and texture. They also had fried chicken skin as an ala carte item I was excited for, unfortunately it was seasoned and I'm not sure when it was made but didn't seem fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute little restaurant with plenty of Filipino snacks, drinks, and other items you can buy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love supporting small business, especially Asian owned family business. The food was probably really good if you like Filipino food, I just didn't love it

Amazing food and service--very authentic Filipino cuisine! Definitely add this place to your must visit list if you are in Utah.

We actually came here a few weeks ago with family & friends. We were not disappointed. It was everything we were looking for in authenticity. Between the 3 of us, we had a variety of food that we tried from pork adobo, longganisa, crispy chicken skin, lumpia, chicken curry, crispy pata, jeprox, sisig, & rice. Even down to the desserts - halo halo, turon, & buko pandan! Nolan made it such a delight that we could not stop laughing. Service was top notch! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's definitely family style, so be prepared to sing karaoke cause Nolan won't let you leave without a song if you plan to dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lol We loved it. We would've stayed longer had we kept on singing. We will definitely be back!

Nice video karoke! And other food (idk how to upload more photos)

Shanghai lumpia, pancit bihon and Lechon kawali
    Gary B.

This was among the restaurants that came up on my Yelp feed during a visit to Provo. It's not often that a suggestion for Filipino cuisine comes up and was the reason I chose to eat here over other possibilities. The food I ordered was on par with other traditional Filipino restaurants that I've visited. The Shanghai lumpia l were well made and crispy. The Lechon Kawali was tender and moist; perfectly cooked though didn't get many pieces that had crunchy skin which is the hallmark of Lechon in general. The pancit is my biggest "side eye" so to speak because it wasn't strictly speaking "pancit bihon"; yes there were bihon noodles but very little compared to the amount of chow main style yellow noodles. It's a first for me to get a combo of noodles while claiming a specific noodle, they could have just said "pancit" and I wouldn't have ordered it, LOL. I only like bihon style noodles so for me this was a little annoying. I can't comment on whether it was "good" or not because it's not what I expected and anything I could say is colored by the fact that I didn't get what I expected. The order style at this restaurant isn't my favorite format, as it's not a full service restaurant with servers, etc. one orders from a wall menu as well as prepared food from non-self serve trays that offer a full spectrum of Filipino cuisine/ dishes. Also of note, they don't have fountain drinks but rather cans and bottles of various choices in a fridge. Cuisine-wise there were a lot of choices I wasn't familiar with...this was the one time I wish I had an "all you can eat" style buffet style format so I could sample everything. Instead I went with the safe choices; options that were familiar to me. For dessert I ordered "Halo halo", mostly out of comfort. They offer a lot of other dessert options that looked good like "home made " flan but was not availe in a small or "individual " portion size. It was a tough pass for me I must admit. On a food basis, it's as good as any Filipino restaurant as I've dined...serving traditional Filipino cuisine and is the basis for my 4 stars I'm more of a full service person when I dine at restaurants...this one is even more self serve on par with an In-N-Out burger or similar fast food restaurant and yet the food isn't cheap. For that alone I'm not going to give them 5 stars. That said, I'd recommend it for anyone who wants lots of delicious Filipino cuisine options.

My daughter and I went there [our first time] for lunch recently, and everything was delicious! It was definitely a far drive for us, but we both agreed that it was worth it. Will definitely be back:)

It does not get more authentic than this place. EXTREMELY tasty homey food. Truly feels like your Filipino mom's comfort dishes. Every single dish had its own unique taste to it. All the meats (pork, beef, chicken) melted in our mouths - so soft and full of flavor. There is no entree/protein I recommend over another because they were all soooo delicious in their very own way. No dish even slightly tasted like the other. For dessert, we had the 3 piece taron (plantain egg rolls with a hard creme brulee-like sugar coating on the outside) which were incredible. Perfectly sweet, crunchy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. This place PACKS it in - you will not be skimped. We each ordered the 2 item combo (rice or pancit (noodles) w/2 meats) and were stuffed before we even finished our food...that didn't stop us from continuing to indulge because the food was too good to waste. After eating, the owner even invited us to do some karaoke. The restaurant had fun Filipino snacks for sale. What a fun, DELICIOUS, and authentic experience. We will absolutely be returning!

I have been here a few times now. Each time, I have been blown away by the flavor of the food. The employees who work here are all so friendly and patient, too. I have eaten Filipino food several times in the past, but I am not as knowledgeable with the cuisine as some other cuisines, beyond the most well-known Filipino foods. All the friends and family I've brought with me have been even less knowledgeable. So, we always spend a good amount of time peppering them with questions. Each time, every employee has been so patient and kind. They always have a wide variety of offerings. You can choose a la carte, or from customized combos, or set menu options. It is a cafeteria style set up. I have tried their pancit, chicken adobo, pork Adobo, bicol express, chicken curry, lumpia, beef Caldereta, kare kare, Sisig, dinuguan, and fried eggplant (I forget what it was called). Seriously, every single one of these was great. The meat is always so, so tender, and everything is so flavorful. My favorites have been the kare kare and bicol express. I like that they don't shy away from serving some of the more exotic dishes like Sisig and dinuguan. However, they have adjusted them to not include more of the traditional pig parts that Americans generally don't eat (ears, snout, intestines, etc.). I actually am a bit disappointed in that, but I also get why. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The portions are always very generous, and there is lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really want to try lechon some time, as my Filipino friends had been encouraging me for years to find that somewhere. Sadly, it hasn't been available any of the times I've gone. I wonder if it's on offer just during dinner, as I've only gone for lunch so far. One other nitpick: I wish they had more veggie options available. But, really, this food is amazing.

3.5 stars, trending towards "Good." First, I don't think that Filipino food is my cup of tea. I do like lumpia, but other than that, not my first choice of food. However, the reviews of this place was intriguing so I tried it. We had a variety of dishes, and it seemed OK to me. Had my son's family with us and they seemed to think it was OK, too. Had curry, adobo, veggies. Something else. Just not memorable for me. Others who like Filipino food are definitely excited about this place, so try it out. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

    Halo-Halo!

I was so excited to see a new Filipino restaurant finally open in Utah County! Brought the whole family (and friends) to experience it for the first time, and this place is authentic! They had over 10+ dishes to choose from, and my mouth couldn't stop watering. They had: chicken and pork adobo, laing, bicol express, beef caldereta, sinigang, chicken tinola, fried lumpia, corned beef, pancit, bistek, munggo, I couldn't name all of them. I was just so excited for all the variety they had! I tried quite a few, and I felt like a kid in a candy store....I'll have to keep coming back to try the rest. Favorites: Chicken adobo, pancit, Bikol express, and bistek. Pancit tasted just like home, Bicol Express had great flavor (I had cut-up chili added on mine as I like mine with a bit of spice!) and their bistek was super soft and flavorful. Their lumpia was a BIG hit with the kiddos - we had to keep ordering more and more because we kept running out! Their Halo-Halo was ON POINT! Mine just had the crushed ice, milk, Ube ice cream, and flan slice on top. It was SOO GOOD that I was halfway home and I asked myself, "Why didn't I get 2 of these?!" Met the nicest people - Billie and Chat, they made you feel right at home and explained what some of the dishes' ingredients. Can't wait to come back!!

Top left chicken adobo (the best!) rice&pancit. bottom left chicken curry, dessert halo halo (amazing) sinegang (authentic) and lumpia.

Just went here with my husband for the first time tonight. My MIL is Filipino and a great cook so we had high expectations. We were not disappointed! The (I assume owner) was so sweet and took the time to talk with us. The night was brisk and inside the restaurant was super warm. I don't know if they were trying to replicate the ambiance of the Philippines, but it was perfectly warm (not too hot) which was such a nice perk. We wanted to try a plethora of things so we got the three combo plate with chicken adobo (phenomenal), sinegang (authentic and delicious) and chicken curry (only okay). We asked for half rice half pancit. We ordered a side of 6 lumpia and halo halo for dessert. The food was placed on a banana leaf inside a wicker bowl. All of the food brought me back to my visit to the Philippines. It was delicious and I want to take my in-laws the next time we go! They had karaoke in the corner and the vibe was chill. We will definitely be repeat customers because there were so many things I still want to try.

This Filipino restaurant serves up all the classic Filipino dishes that everyone loves. We tried out a variety of items including pork adobo, beef kalderata, lechon, lumpia, pancit, pork bbq sticks, and Paksiw na Pata. Everything was so delicious and flavorful! The *only* complaint I have is that the food on display doesn't have labels. For someone who isn't as familiar with the food, I had to ask what each item was and took note of them, but it definitely would have been more helpful to have some sort of reference. The owner was so sweet, she ran out of pancit (which is what I was really hoping for) and she went out of her way to make some for our table. The restaurant was well-kept and had plenty of seating room. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try or enjoy Filipino food!

I know this is a landlord problem, but it wasn't a good first impression for a food vendor. Although my family always teases me that I smell things that they don't smell. So it could have been just a me thing, but I digress lol... We ordered 8 dishes. I wish I knew the names. I know there was a beef and onion dish and a beef stew type dish with root vegetables. Tender and both delicious. There was a pork dish with a coconut based stock which was my favorite. Chicken Adobo, a pork stir fry type dish and lastly a pork stew dish with blood in the sauce. Yes, you heard me right. If you like blood sausage this is right up your alley. Both of the pork dishes (stir fry and blood sauce) were a little too salty for me personally, but tasty otherwise. The lumpia was good and we had a side of rice and pancit. The pancit was just okay for me. The woman who helped us was awesome and very patient with us. Explaining all the dishes we had questions about. Overall a good experience. Glad to see multiple Filipino restaurants opening up around town.

However, this store has tons of variety of food from Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Thai, and Korean too. I'm pretty happy with what you can get here, especially having it be in Utah County (which lacks Asian grocery stores). I did come here last week and stocked up on snacks, Asian sauces, and other necessities. I did notice though, after I got home, that one of the items I purchased (ground chicharon = grinded up pork rinds) had the "sell by" date of May 2020 - say WHAT?! I was just there last week to buy this (November 2020). This item has been on the shelf for 6 months passed the "sell by" date. I'm assuming the "sell by" date of May 2020, means that maybe a week or two, it will then be no longer "fresh" to eat, therefore, why is it still on the shelf for purchase? In addition, I asked a young employee there to see if they carried it, and he said no. Two minutes later, I found it myself. Huh. So....this leads me to believe that: 1. The employees are not fully aware of what they carry and sell. 2. They don't frequently check shelves and expiration dates of items they are selling. It's great and all that this Asian grocery store exists in Utah county, but I think it needs improvement on the management side. Again, this store is not super close to home, so this is a money loss for me since I'm choosing to not drive 18+ miles one way to exchange/return this item (I bought 2 bags of it). If they kept their shelves up to date, this wouldn't have been an issue.

Our server was amazing, with it being our first time she gave us a rundown of the menu and highlighted some favorites. The atmosphere of the restaurant was dim and chill. We ordered miso soups, the jalapeño hamachi, the beef tataki, the moonlight roll, and the apollo roll. I also ordered their sparkling sake which was a special and I loved it. The miso soups were delicious and priced well. The jalapeño hamachi is an award winning dish and I can see why. It was SO good. My husband actually saved the vinaigrette to try with other dishes. We also enjoyed the beef tataki, I did feel like it was a little on the chewy side but overall good. We loved the moonlight roll, the flavors and sweetness were good, I did feel like it was missing heat from the spicy tuna. The apollo roll was good, this roll also had spicy tuna and it was definitely hotter. Mint met our expectations and will definitely be a contender for our next sushi date night.
