September was in the meat department wanted a Tomahawk stake the employee (Butcher) was behind the counter, cleaning .He prepared my steak without washing his hands or changing his gloves. Me and my family went to get some chicken and potato logs, which were good, but the real goodness was from the cheese counter. Me and my dad were perusing, didn't know what to get and then Francisco offered us some help. He recommended a Gouda cheese and it was so good. I don't even have words to describe how delicious it was. Then he recommended some crackers and a jalapeño jelly. He was so helpful and kind, and boy oh boy. I love that when I came to the cheese counter, a friendly-faced gal was more than happy to help me find a specialty cheese, and even came around the counter over to my side to help me find it - talk about great customer service! They sure train their staff right in this company - it's always been a universal great customer service every time I come - every time. They also keep everything so clean and in its space. Harmon's Grocery Store is top notch, no complaints. But, dealing with the pharmacy is a different story! My husband has a monthly prescription (has for years) every month I get the text that they are out of stock until the next day. His prescription cannot wait til next day. The Pharmacist (Jennifer) is as rude as they come. Jennifer was so rude to my husband he was visibly upset when he got home. It's none of her business what the prescription is for, his professional Doctor prescribed it! She definitely needs to get out of the customer service industry! The other staff are OK. I love this Harmons. It's conveniently located only a few minutes from my house and is always well stocked - making it easy to grab those last minute things I forgot for dinner. Their signs are always fun and well drawn. Prices can be steep depending on what you are there for, but they have a wide variety of unique options you can't find at most other grocery stores. Their chocolate creme pie is one of my favorite treats. Their produce always looks good and fresh. Turning into the store can be a hassle as both the adjacent roads are busy. There are multiple small businesses and restaurants in the parking lot, I've almost been hit multiple times here. So make sure you're aware of your surroundings when in the parking lot. read more

This one is laid out just like my home Harmoms, so navigation was a breeze. I came in as a man on a mission for a particular kind of candy, but ended up perusing several aisles, because Harmons. When all was said and done, I was most impressed with the bulk section (prepackaged bulk) though I do live the fill-your-own and especially bulk spices. I also spent a long timee admiring the house brand pasta, though ended up going with an import because they just didn't have the shape I needed for homemade mac n' cheese. Speaking of cheese, I found a nice gouda for the concoction (take that, gruyere!) and it melted beautifully. Self-checkout was a snap, parking is easy breezy, and although prices really are notably higher than other competitors, I do love the variety of stuff, and know that when it's time to get fancier-than-normal stuff, this is where I go first. read more

Chances are if you're looking for something healthy, organic, vegan, or gluten free, you'll find it here. Sure, you'll pay a little bit more, but you were planning on that anyways. 2) Fresh options ready to enjoy NOW. Their salad bar is fantastic. I often frequent it for lunch during work. You can get buffalo chicken, sushi, and anything else you'd want included on, or with, your salad. They also have a refrigerated section with things like grilled chicken breast, salmon, and more to accompany your salad, or be your meal. I also perused all those crazy kombucha drinks (seriously, who wants to drink that???) and my eyes got round of horror when reading about some kombucha vinegars drink...hell you want, hell you can find at Harmons...in harmony (bad joke, but is true!). How can anyone dislike Harmons? I don't think it's humanly possible. I feel happier when I walk into Harmons. My eyes land on the cheese island and my woes are forgotten. I look about the salad bar and find that my spirits are lifted. Fine chocolates, delicious beverages, local and farm fresh produce... I love you. But seriously, Harmons has got it goin on. Not only does it have plenty of groceries, some hard to find items, and FARM FRESH local groceries, but they have a wonderful deli, bakery, salad bar, and pharmacy. I love Harmons. I always find what I need, and sometimes a little more. I recently purchased Ruby Snap cookies, frozen ready to bake. They were amazing. Sure, they're a little pricey, but I'm willing to pay the extra money to support local business and to eat delicious cookies. You can find fresh brioche, fresh challah, baguettes, and SO many other breads. They have a CHEESE ISLAND, with all the extras you need for your homemade charcuterie board. It would only be better if it carried more alcohol, but their selection is on par with all other grocery stores (Thanks for nothin', Utah laws!). If you haven't been into a Harmons, change that immediately. Walk around and see the wonderful items they have collected for your pleasure. read more

Horrible customer service! I went there yesterday Friday the 10th of February 2023 to get 3 birthday balloons for my husbands birthday party. Yes only 3 balloons--I had to wait for this woman who had over 15 balloons before they did mine. So I finally asked the clerk why not do mine first since mine only will take minutes--I must have waiting over 20 minutes for the other woman. The clerk said it was a pre-order that basically they were suppose to have done by noon--this was close to 2pm. Still ridiculous. Hopefully other stores fill balloons. I called later to talk to a manager about this and Tyrell obviously never called back. Their customer service is horrible my advice is avoid them totally. read more

Someone pulled some out of the drawer in the back and a clerk named keith walked us outside, pulled his truck around and jumped the car for us. Who knew Harmon's had such an excellent selection. I honestly didn't give this place the time of day, but then found out they have a bomb Halo Top supply (ha) so I've been here a few times now and I have been so impressed. Their fruit section is legit, lots of exotic and lesser known fruit even. The health food section is also impressive, not quite a Whole Foods or Sprouts but it has more than I was expecting. The salad bar is also good, with foods like jicama and sushi even. And homemade croutons that I definitely recommend trying. Harmons is easily my favorite for many reasons. There are very few local grocery stores in the valley with produce that competes with Harmons produce. They always have the best quality and the most fresh produce. Granted their prices are a little higher than the average grocer but you are paying for top quality every time. I love that I can get most specialty items needed for recipes here. So far this is one of the only local places we've found that has pastry sheets for deserts and they're awesome. They have really good baguettes here as well, we usually get some fresh baguettes and have it sliced for us there and it never disappoints. Overall I don't have any complaints about Harmons, the only thing I could think of is the prices here but I will happily pay for the quality that comes along with it. read more

I purchased a banana cream pie for a party and quickly realized the bananas were black and completely rotten when I dug into the pie. It was so disgusting! Then I purchased some almond paste and didn't look at the expiration date, which was totally my fault, however it had expired three months earlier! And it was still on the shelves! I do like the meat department , however, most of the butcher assistance are really good. there is one guy that is always a negative Nancy. As long as you handle him right, You can get good customer service. Update: I am going to have to lower my review on this place. It seems like every time I call the meat department I get told that they cannot help and I would have to wait for a butcher. The customer service in the meat department has just gone downhill dramatically. Update: everything is great in the store. However... Again, the meat department... Sigh.I got a $25 steak from the head meat manager (see above) and e hsaid it was so busy. He gave me a piece of steak from the aged selection that was very very" butchered". But not in a good way.He was also not even a little bit nice while getting it. I felt too guilty so I bought it. I don't think I'll go back to this store again. Especially not for meat. This Harmon's has been open for more than 20 years, and I think it was their second location ever. This location is very well managed. They have some amazing artisan breads, and they are above average for offering healthy options and better quality brands. I am very impressed by their consistent updates and changes to make the store a better option than most chain restaurants. There's usually no need to go to other grocery stores because their selection of everything from vegan to organic is always evolving. read more

I love the salad bar here, especially since it has quinoa, chickpeas AND salmon (most of the time) on it! I love the organic and health section. I have never had a bad experience at this Harmons. I will say that I am totally in love with, therefore biased, to the beautiful SLC location. Although not as aesthetically pleasing as the SLC location, this Harmons does the job and still has a nice atmosphere overall. I want to point a funny story of good customer experience here. We heard rumors that this Harmons might carry poke (Hawaiian food, not pokemon). We went to the deli for guidance to the nearest poke and the entire team went into a frenzy. They ran around the store looking for it and when they couldn't find it, they called several different locations to see if they carried it. Ultimately, we realized that the poke was just a rumor made up by a heartless prankster who wanted to see everyone suffer. But it made for a show of great customer service. They went above and beyond to try to satisfy our needs. I also love this Harmons for its wide variety of local products, especially the extra expansive selection of ice creams and frozen treats. It's great to see local businesses supporting each other. The salad bar is also fantastic with fresh and diverse ingredients. A great lunch spot to hang out for a break. read more

Some time ago I got tired of the constantly lowering quality of Albertson's grocery stores so I tried Harmon's. I now only shop there. Here are some fine points: Cheese Continent - Andrew, the Cheese Monger at the Orchard location has finally wrangled a Cheese Continent, not as extensive as the Bangerter Crossing location, but very well stocked. Andrew is very helpful, has extensive knowledge and is well prepared for paring and serving recommendations. I'm a cheese freak (in more ways than one) and I have found him to be spot on. Produce - These guys take produce seriously and know their stuff. I regularly find great things like golden beets and oyster mushrooms. The manager is very helpful and routinely tastes the food and won't sell it if it doesn't meet his standards. Meat - Excellent quality meats, and starting recently, the aged beef! The guys that work the counter are great. Manager is a bit of a grump. Seems put out when I ask him questions. But the rest of the crew is spot-on. Groceries - I find a better selection of groceries like imported italian whole tomatoes, Patak's Curries, Golden Raisins and all the regular stuff. They also just added a really great salad and olive bar. Bottom line, Harmon's is a good place. And they treat their employees well (and have respect for their employee's privacy and civil rights even in a state where such rights aren't usually respected. read more

Relative to all 15 of the other Harmon's in the state, it's just okay. If you consider that it's the only REAL grocery store anywhere in Utah Valley, it's absolutely awesome. If I lived around here, I'd have to hit up at least four other stores to accomplish what I can at Harmon's. As it is, most Utah Valley residents have to drive 12-18 miles to get to this one - the artisan cheese stands alone in Utah County. For those shoppers who rely on the standard half-aisle of coffee selection on the shelves of every other Harmon's store, you can find what you need here, even though it's a bit skimpy by comparison. I've been sorely disappointed at other UV groceries over their far too puny coffee choices. (Sorry, but two coffee options is just insufficient REAMS. Particularly when one of those two is Dunkin' Donuts brand. C'mon.) I found the produce here to be fresh and adequately stocked. They carry Buddha Hands. Does anyone out there ever buy those? There are a few standard Harmon's specialties that are missing at this store - salad bar, olive bar, and most of the claim-to-fame chef-made items. It's as if folks in this part of the state don't appreciate that stuff, or they'd likely carry it. It's not centrally located to the UV business districts, so weekday workers wouldn't travel that far for salad anyway, I guess. The cashier neglected to ask me if I wanted Drive and Load. I love Drive and Load, especially when it's 4 degrees out. I guess you have to request it if you want it here. The other small handful of employees I encountered were semi-friendly; but again, it just seemed pared down or something. Not the full-fledged Harmon's experience I'm accustomed to. If Bob and Randy are reading this, how about a real Harmon's in Spanish Fork, or even East Bay Provo, guys? Utah Valley deserves it. read more
