Especially those with disabilities or chronic health conditions. Following a minor, accidental self-checkout oversight, their loss prevention Security escalated the situation into a hostile interrogation in a back room. More alarming than their automated corporate policies was their physical and aggressive overreach: Disregarding Medical Needs: I live with Multiple Sclerosis and moderate balance issues. While walking to the back room, their staff repeatedly tried to block and shove my partner who acts as my medical caretaker and was actively explaining that I needed his support to walk. Forced Isolation Tactics: They attempted to shove my caretaker out of the room repeatedly asking if he was coming in or not, refusing to acknowledge that a disabled person has a right to necessary medical and physical assistance. Invasive Search Overreach: Private security has no legal authority to act like law enforcement, yet they also subjected my partner to an invasive pat-down and bag search trying to claim he could have weapons. If anyone who suffers with cognitive, recall or processing issues for executive functioning or active memory, please be wary in self check out. I had paid for literally all my groceries and forgot one item in the cart I thought I had already paid for then put in a bag as I was getting ready to leave. That's when we were stopped by security where they continually tried separating me from my partner as he was trying to help me walk to carry our bags without a cart and escalating the situation when we got to the room. Accusing me of intending to steal a $4 item that I had agreed to pay for which they instead slapped with a $250 fine and trespassed me for life from all locations over a one time offense and a single mistake for $4. Law enforcement was not involved but they made it clear that if we didn't cooperate with their scare tactics and invasive search that it could very easily go that direction as my partner and I were being ambushed by three hostile and fairly large men in security uniforms.

Even the simple glazed twisty things are good. I grabbed several and headed out for a trip along the Nebo Loop. Twisting roads, twisted donuts, and lots incredible scenery. There are other secrets to be had. Their in-house tortilla chips are quite good. What else? I dunno, I think you'd have to ask the locals, or ask the grocer what else they do special. But in a small town grocery store there are some real treasures to be had just like this. It's an average size store, with all the relevant sections: bakery, deli, dairy, produce, and so on. I assumed it was a pop-up, but it's there for good (the only other location is in Scottsdale, FYI). It was so cute inside, and it was so cool to see all of the product in person, and so many fun items and decor to complement the space and add to the vibe. I knew I was walking out with a purchase - some of my favorites were "Text me when you land" and "This song reminds me of you" but I ended up loving a gray "Tell me this means something. LG(c) 2019" hoodie for $75. I love the little ghost embroidered on the collar and it's very well-made and comfy. The two people working were super friendly and helpful, and I love the takeaway bag which is designed for future use. Literally every time I use the bag or wear the hoodie someone asks me about it. Just then, some kids entered as one told the story about how last time he was asked to leave for trying to film a TikTok in the bathtub or something. I like that they have the Kroger staples I am used to, like Simple Truth Organics. Even though the store is quite small in square footage they have, for the most part, all the items I need. I do hope they continue to expand the natural and organic selections though. But what really keeps me coming back week after week is the interactions with the employees. From the pharmacy, to the check-out clerks, to the service desk. Every single time, I am greeted with a smile, a genuine desire to help and polite, friendly conversation. They always go above and beyond in providing amazing customer service.
