In Utah, Sprouts is my favorite grocery store. I generally shop at their Murray location, but happened to be down south several weekends back, so stopped by this one to pick up a few things. It is just as great as all the others, and this means a large selection of wellness products like vitamins, dietary supplements, essential oils, and such, a healthy little clearance section, tasty sandwiches made to order, surprisingly delicious treats in the bakery (get the chocolate chip cookies!), but most importantly, well-priced and high quality produce. I noticed a particularly nice nursery area, including some creatively arranged tillandsia (air plants) and succulents. I find that Sprouts is the best-priced source of produce, meat, and bulk products such as spices, nuts, dried fruit, and pantry staples. They offer a student discount one day of the week, and if you shop on Wednesdays you get the sale prices for both the current week and the next (they will likely be busy because of this, so just a heads up). Download their app for coupons. Service is excellent. I've never experienced difficulty locating an employee on the floor, the butchers are knowledgeable, and cashiers are always cheery. Parking in this shopping center was terrible. I don't even feel like I was there at a particularly popular time, but the hunt was on for a spot, any spot, and the myriad other drivers searching made it almost dangerous with the snow and ice that coated the asphalt. Other than that, it was great, and certainly if I lived in the area this would be my go-to grocery store. read more

Sprouts is by far my favorite place to grocery shop, and I would get everything here if I could. So if you're not in the mood to read a lengthy review, that about sums it up. Sprouts is the very first store that I go to on my weekly grocery shopping routine. I feel like the produce here is almost always the most fresh and cheap, and the same goes for the meats and poultries. The bulk foods are a nice option for seeds, nuts, grains, candies, etc. Just be aware that there are open bulk containers if you have any allergies! There's also a clearance section on the east side of the store right next to the restrooms. I had no idea it even existed for almost a year, so I'm just spreading the joy here! It's definitely hit and miss but you can sometimes find really awesome deals on things you might not normally buy like beauty products, tea, or treats. Employees are all kind and helpful. There have been several times that we have been looking through produce and deciding what to buy, when we have an employee approach us and take an item off the shelf and cut it up right there for us to try. The variety of produce at Sprouts is awesome, whether you're looking for organic or not. I love meandering around the store and finding unique fruits and vegetables. They also usually have a good selection of fresh herb plants, and they're almost always 3 for $10 if you're looking to grow fresh basil, rosemary, etc. Thursday is discount day for BYU and UVU students and employees, which means an additional 15% off your whole purchase if you show your school ID card. Sprouts also gives you a five cent discount for each reusable bag that you bring to shop. It's not a massive discount by any means, but it's just enough to encourage me to get in the habit of bringing my reusable bags, which is a mission I can get behind! Lines can get a little crazy here sometimes, so just come prepared to wait a few extra minutes. They'll often open up another checkout line if they notice the lines are long. read more

This used to be one of my favorite stores to shop at. They have completely lost all of my respect. I had all 5 of my children and pregnant with my 6th. Several employees shoved masks in my face. I kindly told them I have a medical exemption. I will show it to you if you'd like. They didn't care. They continued to follow me around and insist that I put a mask on. I refused to wear a mask and continued to walk around and shop so they barricaded my cart with their bodies and told me that if I didn't either put on a mask or leave the store right now they would call the police and have me charged with trespassing. read more

I really love the produce at the sprouts! It is super tasty and very affordable. I usually do my shopping at trader Joe's across the street. And I finish up with my produce shopping at sprouts. They have a great selection and variety of apples here. There's stone fruit is also ripe and plentiful. The homeopathic section here tends to be pricey so I don't shop here for it. I will never shop at sprouts again. They now MAKE you wear a mask. My mother in law walked in with a mask, saw others without a mask, and so she proceeded to take hers off because she has a hard time breathing with it on, the store manager proceeded to pester her and yell at her to put it back on, disregarding the other people in the store without a mask on, when my mother in law pointed them out. She was upset, grabbed her stuff, paid for it, and as she was walking out of the store, cops were waiting for her. She now has to go to court. What kind of managing style does sprouts hire?! Lovely selection of fresh produce - but don't be fooled into believing it's all organic. It's not. They have a small organic produce section (see photo). Everything else is standard grocery store quality. I love their health food and supplement offerings. They carry a good amount of natural care home products, like Seventh Generation laundry detergent, renewable and recycled paper towels, and the like. Plenty of natural lotions and body care products; a la Jason, Kiss My Face, Burt's Bees, etc. They have a very small selection of aromatherapy with deficiently posted pricing and information for those consumers who are not familiar with it all. However, their staff is abundant and helpful. So, in the event you're looking for something you can't find or don't know about, they're happy to assist. The "deli" section is a bit of a joke. The sign indicating its whereabouts mysteriously brought about the question, "Wait. Where is the deli stuff?" I finally detected it. It was five or so plastic containers with a couple of tablespoons of chicken salad, tuna salad, etc...oh, and they did have a couple of prepared sandwiches and wraps. Sizeable, but pricey as hell. A grocery store deli turkey wrap for $7? C'mon. Oh, there's spinach in it? Yeah, I could grow my own spinach for less money. They have a few interesting POP items. The kind that intrigue you enough to pick them up and see what they're about. Like, the water bottle with the built-in filter which allows you to fill it from a public toilet and still consume pure filtered water when you need it. I came here as I was looking for healthy foods as I was on the Whole30 / Paleo diet. I was very happy with the price and selection of items after checking out other stores, even specialty stores, in Provo and Orem. Prices on Naked Juice, for example is as cheap or cheaper than Walmart and other stores in the area. Spend half as much for organic hot dogs than I saw in another store. That does not mean that it is a super cheap place to shop, but add on the 15% discount on Thursday for students.. I went on Thursday and was out a half hour before closing. Apparently that's when it starts to get busy with a student rush. I had no issues getting in and out and lines were only a person or two long. If you want discount check out Macys or Walmart Super-center. Sprouts is a great value with a wide selection of good products. I would still shop here without the discount when I graduate, but the savings are nice. read more

I'm a little torn on Sprouts Farmers Market I love all the items that they have to sell in bulk, and I often take advantage of that. Especially the honeycomb. Highly recommend it. On the other hand, whenever I buy berries here, it seems that, more often than, there are moldy ones on the bottom. They always look great on the top, but once I eat one or two the entire bottom layer appears to be moldy or overripe. In general, this store is alright and sometimes has pretty killer prices, but I generally find better quality produce (albeit a little more pricey) at Harmon's. 5/10 will go back for honeycomb. read more

I think I was spoiled having so many great Whole Foods within a fee miles of my home and office when I was living in SLC the last few years, and it's ruined me for health stores now. This Sprouts is nice and does what it needs to do for the people around. If I didn't have such great amenities at Whole Foods, I'd probably think the Orem Sprouts was amazing. It had a nice selection of everything that it should have-especially with bulk grains, tuna, and cereals. The sushi selection is pretty good for a smaller store. I really like the vitamins and organic hair, skin, etc. products selection here. If you want a decent selection of healthier options, this'll do fine without having to drive all the way up to Salt Lake. read more

i can't believe i haven't written a review on sprouts yet! i've gone a few times over the last few months & between this location & trader joe's just two minutes away, they make quite the team. i'm a big TJ's girl, i've frequented the orem location since it opened 18 months ago. although they're my favorite grocery store, i've been let down by the produce quite a few times. before last fall, i believe the only time i had been to sprouts was with my mom back in 2015 or 2016, but i remembered her saying that they had some of the best produce you could find in grocery stores with unbeatable prices. they also carry all beyond meat products, & since my husband has recently become vegan & i'm vegetarian, I decided to stop in one day to check it out. this is ABSOLUTELY the best produce anywhere. i don't have to worry about my fruits & veggies going bad in my fridge for at least two weeks which aligns perfectly with my grocery shopping schedule. everything is bright, ripe, colorful, flavorful & CHEAP! 5 jalapeños for $1? 3 limes or 2 lemons for $1? 99 cent bushels of cilantro, parsley, green onion, etc. plus unbeatable prices on berries, not to mention they're the plumpest, most tasty berries?? i literally will not be purchasing produce from anywhere else! on top of the amazing produce, sprouts is a vegan/vegetarian dream scape for alternative meat & dairy products. like i said, they carry all the beyond meat products but also a ton of other options as well. they have the largest supply of non dairy milk i've ever seen with options like soy, almond, coconut, oat, flax, etc. they also carry brands like daiya, so delicious dairy free, & gardien. they have vegan cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc. not to mention an amazingly low cost bulk section to top it off! their staff is friendly, the store is a good size & always clean, plus they're open every day! some of the vegan meat & dairy alternatives can get pricey but I'd say that's pretty expectant. the only thing i dislike is their tiny parking lot, especially weekdays around lunch time since they share it with aubergine & some fast food places. go on sundays if you can! read more

I have WANTED to like Sprouts. They're the only natural-foods place with decent prices in the area, and I WANT them to be good. But they're not. Every time I try to shop here, I regret it, and I think I'm finally going to stop giving them more chances. I've got to give Sprouts two stars because they do carry items them I cannot get elsewhere in Orem/Provo. They're also not too drastically overpriced. But that's where it ends. 1. TIME. It can take 30+ minutes just to check out here, and I am not exaggerating. When they're busy, the lines pile up and the cashiers don't seem to move any faster. They take up to 10 minutes to do a price check, and no one ever seems to be familiar with what the store carries, how their systems work, what is on sale, etc. I have had to abandon my cart and leave because check-out was taking such an unbelievably long time. 2. SELECTION. Sprouts always appears to have a good selection, but literally every time I shop here, they don't have something that I need. Most recently, it was ground lamb. They had all sort of other cuts of lamb, but no ground lamb. Would they grind some for me? No. They did not explain why not. This has also happened with items as basic as fresh eggplant and sparkling water. If you're making a trip here, count on having to stop at Smith's as well. 3. QUALITY. This is my biggest complaint. On three separate occasions, Sprouts has sold me cheese that was inedible. Twice is was cheddar that turned out to be covered in thick blue mold, completely out of date, and once it was fresh mozzarella that had soured and reeked, also completely out of date. They stock things that have expired, apparently. I'm sticking with Smith's from now on. read more

Having just moved from Portland, I was a bit scared about the lack of organic produce one might find in Orem/Provo. After a quick Google search I discovered Sunflower Farmers Market, of course I had to check it out! I was very pleased with the prices several items I had bought regularly at my old organic market I found for half the price here. Along with the organic selection of produce there is also non-organic, however it seemed like the organic selection were not priced too much higher than the non-organic, more incentive to buy organic. Walking around the store I was smiling from ear to ear as I saw the great selection at great prices. The staff was very helpful I asked several questions about products and the store all my questions were answered with enthusiasm and kindness. I was told of several of the great discounts that one could receive here. If you are a college student you can get 10-20% off your bill if you shop on Thursdays. I wish I could still get this discount! I highly recommend this store, I will defiantly be back soon. read more

Sprouts will not honor a medi al exemption from wearing a face mask. Medical exemptions are provided to those whose health is put at risk by wearing a mask. This is the first store Ive been in that has refused to honor a medical exemption. I will not be shopping hete again until the policy changes and even then maybe not. read more

Therefore, I was happy to discover that Sunflower Farmers Market is actually quite similar! Sunflower has a great selection with some amazing prices to boot! I'll definitely be watching their weekly sales as the deals can be quite nice. It's nice to see a decent variety of organic and local products as well - that's what I loved so much about New Seasons. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though we had a few dumb questions as newcomers. Overall, I am impressed with the quality, selection, prices, and people. Sunflower fills a much needed gap in the grocery shopping in Utah County. Other natural food stores exist here, but they don't have the produce, meat and cheese selection that SFF has. I probably wouldn't rate them 5 stars if I were still in Portland, but I will take what I can get here. They do have a decent cheese selection and Boar's Head deli meat, though the selection is small. I still recommend Harmon's for the deli. They have a good selection of both organic and non-organic produce-- I prefer this over, say, a Whole Foods, where you don't have the choice. Certain things I care more about being organic than others, and I don't want to pay more if I don't feel it's a necessity. I don't buy many canned, frozen or packaged items here. I come here mainly for the bulk items and produce. You can buy a great variety of nuts, rice, snacks, trail mix, legumes, etc. in bulk for great prices and whatever quantity you need. You can also grind your own fresh peanut butter, or my favorite, ALMOND butter. So much better than jarred almond butter. Put that on a pink lady apple and send me a thank you note afterward.
