I visit Fogo de Chao at least every couple months so being in town I decided to try something with a similar atmosphere. First impression was that they have a lot of options! Their "salad bar" is much more than that. Impressively they have sushi, pasta with different sauces you can add and much more. The reason for my two stars is that the meat was not good. It tasted like it had been frozen for months before cooked and almost everything was well done. Way to ruin red meat! Almost all the steaks were so dry and bland. I felt bad because I tried everything and had one bite and was done. My "trash" plate was almost full by the time I left and I didn't like that, I'm not a wasteful person. If you're a fan of good steak cooked correctly ;) med-rare, this is not the place for you. read more

They have this bad quality sushi that I find myself craving all the time. It's a weird phenomenon They have fresh shrimp that actually tastes somewhat fresh (I find this to be rare at buffets). My husband is a big meat eater and loves this place. I like meat when it's perfectly seasoned and cooked to my liking. They'll ask you how you like your meat, but that doesn't matter because you won't actually get it. I like my steaks a more on the rare side. Every time they came around I got like the most cooked outside tiny pieces, while my husband would always get the big juicy medium rare cuts. I think they're sexist. The salad bar is descent. Not amazing. Their hot foods seem to be a little inconsistent. Now that I think about it there's really only a few foods there that I really enjoy. I think the price is fair. read more

When friends visited from out of town, I made sure to take them here. I told them it was a "Brazilian Meat Restaurant." That was over-simplified. The fried pineapple is not meat. Neither is the lemonade. They're both great. And the salad bar is also excellent. First off, be sure you call ahead with a reservation. We passed by three other parties who had been waiting a while, we were seated right when we got there. It was lovely! Love the food here! We just left Tucanos on a very busy Saturday night. The food was great and the meats were delicious as usual. One of the managers asked us how quickly the meat was getting to us. We mentioned that it had slowed down as my wife and I were surrounded by larger groups. He apologized, thanked us for the feedback, and offered us a free piece of cheesecake. We were seated but not helped by a server for drinks or food for about 15 minutes. A table next to us was getting served all the top steaks multiple times and everytime they got the ones fresh off the grill. While we saw bbq thighs and Turkey wrapped in bacon more than twice until we finally got served steak but it was the last two pieces of the steak basically rare. We continued to notice the table across from us continually being brought fresh steaks off the grill all that we haven't even seen yet and this is almost an hour into our dinner. We got served pork sirloin that was pink that the server had to take back. We continually were served the last bits and pieces of steaks and about an hour and half in we finally were starting to see the steaks we came for because the table next turned their thing to red. I've had this issue a few times with tucanos. Other tables get better service while others get the leftovers. I'm not sure if you just have to be persistent in asking for more of the same stuff but we hardly had servers coming to our table until the one next to us was done for the night. Pretty sure we all paying the same amount of money! read more

We went here late at night, probably an hour before close. I was concerned the food quality wouldn't be great. Boy was I wrong. The service was just the right pace and the food was mouth watering full of deliciousness. Best experience I have had at this restaurant. The servers were all friendly and had smiles and were joking around with us:m. The atmosphere was very inviting. I did not feel like I was intruding at all. The garlic steak is the one I really recommend. You can't leave without getting a dessert. The cheesecake is where it's at. Our reserved party of 8 had a very unfortunate experience in this establishment on Friday January 25 2019. Although the food and pricing was typical for a low tier Brazilian grille, we were uniformly offended by our server. It seemed clear from the outset that her primary mission was to turn the table over as quickly as possible. She asked for our drink and entree orders as soon as we sat down, at the same time explaining how thing worked in a staccato voice at full auto speed. While 4 of us were still eating our main course, she brought a dessert tray and without explaining what the choices were, tried to take our dessert order. No one ordered because the four who had finished the main course were too stunned and offended to order anything. After that, and before I had finished my main course, she brought the check to me and placed directly above my half full plate. I chuckled and she crossly told me that she thought that I was the one paying. I posted to my plate and explained that I and two others had not finished our meal. She tersely told me to place the check folder in an upright position when I was ready to pay and stomped away... briefly. The entire time, managers were floating around and one witnessed my interaction with this unfortunate woman but said nothing. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes. So, we left, never to return, and you dear readers, should you decide to venture into this weird world, be advised to bring your running shoes. Otherwise you won't have swallowed your bacon wrapped chunks of beef before you are pushed out the door. read more

So I've been to tucanos before. I have always enjoyed the service and the food I got there. However, this time was different. I got there expecting just robots just working they're hourly wage and just trying to get through the night. But when I finished eating there, I was smiling and laughing because I enjoyed talking with Jordin and Jace. These two served me throughout the entire time I was there and I felt like I was being served and experience of a lifetime. We actually had conversations the short time there were there serving us even though it was busy. They spent the right amount of time with us and made sure when they were with us, they gave us their attention and made us feel like they actually wanted to talk to us. My husband and I were excited to go to Tucanos again after they reopened. We knew that it would be a little different than normal and we were ok with that. We got there and were seated. Our waiter came and asked what drinks we wanted and explained a couple things to us. What he did not explain was that we were only allowed to have 8 pieces of meat. He didn't say it wasn't all you can eat any more. And if it wasn't the price should of been lowered and not at the full price for only 7 pieces of meat and a piece of pineapple. We got two rounds of meat where we chose 4 each time and that included the pineapple to. I had to ask for another drink refil. Our waiter barely came back to check on us at all. Our plates weren't cleared from the table as we had finished the meat from themI noticed all the wait staff was congregated over by the grill and seemed too busy talking to each other than checking up on their guests. Even the mangers didn't check up on us which they usually do on our visits here and they clearly had been near enough to notice we'd been sitting there a while without any service. The best Brazilian food around. The staff is super friendly. An important note though, make sure that if you have a big group, that you ask that they have a waiter for each table. We had a work party there for Christmas with 70 people and they only gave us 2 waiters. So people never even got waters, which was RIDICULOUS.
