I absolutely love Dave's. I love coming here late at night. Would recommend to anyone interested in good chicken.

Came in for dinner the other night & although they were pretty busy the food and service were some of the best us and our friends have experienced in a long time. You feel the positive energy of the staff from the moment you walk through the doors. They took our orders happily all while making recommendations, joking and keeping things running smoothly. We also had two different staff members check up on us while eating our dinner. One of them even gave our little guy a sticker which he was so excited about and kept him entertained for the remainder of our meal! We all ordered the slider and tender combo. We loved that you can have a different spice level on both the sandwich and tender, it made sharing my meal with my son perfect! We will be back soon!! read more

Unfortunately the worst chicken I've ever had. It is thickly coated in seasoning, fried to death. Even the slushie drink my son got was overly sweet and gross. I would not recommend this place. read more

I don't know why or when they changed their recipe, but unfortunately their AMAZING chicken that we literally ordered WEEKLY at the least, is no longer the same. It is just a dry salty rub with no moisture and the last couple of times the chicken was fatty. I think they have finally given just like most "used to be" high quality businesses and chosen to lower their standards to try and make things cheaper/make more money. Nobody cares about their reputation at the end of the day (except maybe In-N-OUT, minus their gross fries). Starbucks sucks, dave's now sucks, .... it's just the beginning of the end for food haha. Who would have thought that I would be blown away by Fried Chicken as fast food and fried chicken usually is not part of my diet. We arrived to town a bit late and tried to go to two differences placed and they were closed so ended up here. There were a strong scent of Cummins as we walked in and took me by surprise. I personally don't care much for the spice but since we were hungry and not too many options left I opted in for a single sandwich ( you can get a double) Wow, the crunch, the flavor, the juiciness...overal it was a rave to my family and friends while I was eating and finger licking...yum. I really want to like this place more, but after trying it several times, I feel like I am here for the ambiance and not the food. I always have a great experience as far as customer service and attention go. The ambiance is fantastic and each location has such a great vibe, but the chicken with spice is too gritty, a texture preference in my part. Without the spice, it's lacking flavor. It was my first time going, and I got the chicken slider and fries. The chicken was a bit burnt so it was dry. However, I loved that they give the Dave's sauce and honey on the side for me to add on to my sandwich. I've always loved everything with a LOT of sauce so I enjoyed that and thought the sauce and the honey went really well with the spicy chicken. I was disappointed by the fries. The portion was very small and not worth $4. They were crispy but perhaps too crispy -- I prefer the inside to be soft. I like everything about this spot except my fries were cold. That Sammy though! Piping hot and super flavorful. Heat range from mild to Reaper. The bun is sweet like the Hawaiian rolls... perfect with the spicy chicken. But those fries. I got it to go to checkout the care... meh. Calvin was very good helping with the order process and when there was a line 3 deep, he called for backup. The ice tea is very good... at least the peach was. Dave's Hot Chicken has really solid chicken sandwiches. They're super crispy, but still have a thick piece of chicken, which is the best of both worlds for me. The staff at this location are really nice and service is pretty fast. The space is well decorated in colorful paintings and drawings on the walls. They also have a convenient order status screen right above the drink station so you can keep track of your order. I tried the extra hot previously and wasn't impressed with the spiciness so I got the reaper slider this time. They will have you sign a waiver for the reaper flavor and that should have been my sign right there. The extra hot flavor was honestly a let down. It was not spicy at all, I would say maybe a 5/10 on spice level, so I was expecting the reaper to be all bark and no bite. Boy was I wrong!! I can confirm the reaper lives up to its name. I will say the jump from the extra hot (the level right below the reaper) to the reaper is a bit diabolical. The timid spice level of the extra hot made me think the reaper wouldn't be that spicy at all. Even though the extra hot slider wasn't that spicy I still enjoyed it, but the reaper was painful to eat. After trying the reaper, I will happily take the extra hot slider with zero complaints on the spicy level. The slider itself, spice level aside, is really delicious. The bread is super soft and pillowy and the pickles give the sandwich a perfect refreshing crunch. read more

First time coming here and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was clean and the service was really great too. We didn't have to wait long for our food at all and it was super fresh when it came out. It was a smaller chicken sandwich than other similar restaurants near by. I also wish they used a chicken breast on their sandwiches, and not just one tender, as there was extra bread. However, the flavor was really good. I had the medium heat and it was great. I think next time I would get hot because I wanted more spice. The chicken was tender. The fries were crisp and seasoned well. The sauce they had to dip your fries in was excellent as well. The pickles were some of the best pickles and I loved them. They were so crisp! Good experience and would definitely come back while in the area. We went back for some tenders and sliders, and were not disappointed. Consistent and delicious. Took some photos this time. We were lucky to get Chill Will helping us again. He's the biz. The medium spice was perfect again, and the new person I brought with us also really enjoyed their slider/tender. We had to wait just a minute or two for a table, but people noticed us and cleaned up and left so we could sit. The are also outside tables available. TIp: Don't worry...the water button on the soda machine _is_ going to pop back out...it just takes a second. PS...I don't know if the review about "uncooked bread" is a joke or not, but it gave me a little chuckle. My bread was toasted, but either way I think I'll ask for no bread in the future (if it's allowed). I don't eat it, and I don't love wasting it. Thanks for another excellent meal. They've got chicken for you. Dave's has it all. The French fries are so perfectly crisp and seasoned. Whatever the sauce is with the fries is basically to die for. We have gone before with great service, but this last time we went, I waited over an hour for the food because they forgot to make my order. Then when I got my food it was wrong. They didn't offer any compensation for the over hour wait time for their failure to make my order, and did not bother to check if they made the right thing. First off I want to praise the general manager of this location. I didn't catch his name, but man he was SO great. This was my first time here, I ordered the top loaded fries, and the manager came to check on me and see how I liked it. I told him it was great but regretted not getting the popular chicken strips. He came back with a free strip for me to try. SO KIND! I will say... the breading of the strip was just not it for me, I got the medium flavor and I think they put too much sugar in the breading. It was oddly sweet. Not what I'm used to but the texture of the chicken was extremely tender. The Dave's sauce was not as good as people hype it up to be in my opinion. I'm so happy we decided to try something new instead of grabbing a burger because the chicken and fries are the chef's kiss! I was looking for a "quick" bite "near me." LOL. This place came up as an option. Reviews kept saying spicy chicken. I love spicy stuff! Heat level ranges from no spice to reaper. I ordered the #4. 1 slider with fries; Extra Hot. Really good and spicy! I ate all of my chicken. I especially liked the cabbage mixture that they put on or with the chicken. There is also honey or Dave's sauce that you can add to your sandwich or fries. The seasoning on the fries also very good. Those were some good fries. Prices reasonable too. They have other sides you can add too. Mac n cheese, coleslaw, loaded fries, etc. I really like this place and when in the area will come again. Clean. Simple menu. Like it. Staff is nice! I am a huge Nashville hot chicken fan. I've had hot chicken all over the country, and I have to admit this is one of my favorite. The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked, the bun was soft and pillowy, the pickles were nice and crispy, and the slaw and sauce offered a perfect flavor. the french fries were great. The service was really really good as well. I got there at about 11:15 AM and within 10 minutes of arriving there was a line nearly out the door. The staff are very friendly and happy to be there. I know the place is new but it would be cool if they could inform better about the hot levels. The slider was amazing and I highly recommend you add the cheese to it. The cheese fries are also pretty good but the regular fries are great if you don't want to pay extra. The tender was also good but it needs like ranch or something to dip into... it's just a dry rub on a piece of bread and the bread isn't that great. We were in the area and decided to check out the hype! Off the gate, this place is very fun & urban. It reminded me of the colorful gateway wall. The service was great and staff was very friendly! Service was verrry quick even with them being a full house! The food was great! The chicken was juicy, the fries were crispy & seasoned and the Mac & Cheese was cheesy and creamy! One of the best I've had when it comes to restaurants. The food was pretty good, it mildly fell short when it came to spice. We got the medium spice as recommended by the cashier and it fell on the sweeter side(think sweet & spicy like Thai sweet chili powder/sauce) We were under the impression that the hot was pretty hot so the medium would be a good balance. The meat in the slider was a normal chicken tender so the bread to meat ratio was a bit off. My nephew also got the cheese added to his meal and he advised against it since it didn't mesh well with the medium spice being on the sweeter side. (Please note that these are entirely based on our tastebuds) The pricing is a little pricey and the menu only has 4 meal items but it was great for the experience! For my spicy lovers, go hot or above & hopefully that works out a bit better. read more

This was a tricky one for me- I frequently visit pretty bird so unfortunately I feel like my review is slightly biased based on my love for that. I ordered two chicken strips with melted cheese... it was just ok? Seasoning didn't have a ton of flavor and the actual meat had a few questionable pieces. My husband recently went in Vegas and said the Vegas location was a lot better. It took about 15min for us to get our foot, strange when we counted 22 employees working? Not sure what that was about? This is a fun place, high energy, excellent fry puns, and cool decor. With the hype of fried chicken in Utah, I always wonder what new places have to offer. This place adds a new vein to the chicken scene... heat. There are a few places that scratch the surface, but I've never seen one requiring a waiver to order the hottest reaper sauce. I ordered the number four, one slider and fries. I was disappointed that it doesn't come with a drink, if you're going to drop 10 bucks, they should at least throw in a small soda. I was surprised and delighted to find that the slider isn't some small shabby thing, this feels like a chicken sandwich, it filled me up along with the fries. Perfect for one person. I got the mild "sauce" thinking I'd experience some heat but I didn't get a hint of anything, it was an instant regret and I wish there was some sort of sauce besides fry sauce to add to the sandwich. The heat and flavor mostly comes from the breading on the chicken. This is happening in more and more places, I think it's a double edge sword. Fried dough doesn't hold a lot of flavor in itself, so most sandwiches that focus on that are lacking in saucy rich flavor. It does however, create an awesome texture and seems to contain all the moistness. Fries are a classic side, good crunch, some seasoning but not enough really taste without sauce. The fry sauce was really good, my one container was not enough, i went through it fast. Overall, decent bang for your buck, I will come back to move up the heat ladder. read more

The best chicken sandwich in town! Service was friendly. Seemed well staffed, which is hard to come by these days. Soft buns and chicken was tender. Great flavor, maybe a little heavy on the cumin if you don't like that flavor. I don't usually like crinkle cut fries but these were excellent. The Mac n cheese was just ok. Nothing special. It's the real wet kind, almost soupy. Milk shake was good, but it's thin. I got used to extra thick I guess. The dipping sauce was very good, and I think should come standard on the slider.
