Just went here for my very first crab boil experience and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu wasn't too overwhelming since I've been watching crab boil mukbangs for over a year and already knew exactly what I wanted. However for a second we were a little confused about what was considered shareable versus a one person dish, but our server was amazing and stayed to explain everything to us. (Apparently most are shareable depending on your appetite) We added a couple drinks to our tab. I tried the blended specials margarita with tajin on the rim and my husband ordered a blended Sex on the Beach. I'll give it a 9 out of 10 only because the bendy heart straws were super cute but kind of a mess to drink out of. We also ordered the Mr and Mrs Crab shots. They weren't anything too special but the flavor was still decent. Both my kids ordered from the kids menu and I was honestly impressed by how good their food looked. My son had the fried shrimp with mac and cheese and my daughter ordered the chicken wings. The portions were great and the quality was impressive. Truthfully it is one of the better kids menus I've seen in a while. 10/10 no notes. Now for the main event. My husband ordered the #Crabfam Classic and I built my own boil with snow crab, mussels, head off shrimp, potatoes, corn, and an egg. We both chose the Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning at a medium heat level and we were not disappointed. I have not had seafood this good in Utah. Florida girl here with a semi San Francisco husband, so I would say we have standards. The seasoning was perfect and the shrimp was cooked just right. The spice level was spot on, but I think I could have gone even hotter. At the end of it all it only cost $140ish for a full family of 4 and that included drinks, imo a great price for what you get! The overall vibe of the place was great, I drive past this spot all the time and never see many people there. If you are in American Fork or near Lehi High, I definitely recommend giving it a try. read more

Excited to have a new seafood boil place here in Utah county. The decor is a lot of fun and has a great vibe. The service was friendly, but a little lacking. And the restaurant was not busy. I don't want a server to hover, but it took a while to get a water refill. The food was quite good. Surprised by how good the hush puppies were. Sometimes they tend to be dry but these were just right and very flavorful. Also got the crab fam classic. Appreciated the server input on the garlic butter. You can get seasoned or not. We got seasoned and it had great flavor along with good garlic butter. The amount of food received was not quite what other places have, but the flavor was on point and the meats cooked well. I would recommend checking it out if you're in the area! Recently opened (a couple of weeks ago). We were seated right away and loved the decor. It felt very inviting and Shaun (manager) and Ben (waiter) took great care of us. The service was a little slow, as I'm sure they are figuring out things on a busy Friday evening. The restaurant was packed. The calamari was seasoned and fried perfectly. I just wish there was some type of spicy ranch or jalapeño ranch option to dip. That would make it so much better. As far as the seafood book itself, I did the house sauce which, in my opinion, was too salty and had too much butter. It needed more seasoning and more garlic. The shrimp and sausage was good but the clams were quite small t compared to other seafood boil restaurants I've been to. I don't think I would order the clams again. It also only came with one corn and two small red potatoes. I was surprised at this as well as that the boil didn't come with sausage, as it does at all of the other seafood boils I've been to. Not really impressed for $200 I would have expected more. The "king crab" was the smallest king crab I have ever seen and at $89 a pound that was crazy. See if you can spot the king crab in the picture. Figure them having crab in their name they would know good crab. Should rename to mr and mrs small crab. The waitress was nice and the service was good. The environment is cool. Just disappointed in the amount of food for the price. Will likely not go back. read more

Mr. and Mrs. Crab is my favorite Cajun seafood boil in Utah. I've always driven out to their Taylorsville location, but now, I have one much closer to home - woo hoo! This location has been opened for less than a week. The food is just as good as the Taylorsville location! All the seafood is so flavorful, albeit, on the saltier side. But still, I enjoy their seasonings. Also, their fried seafood options, specifically the calamari and catfish bites, are spectacular; perfectly fried! I will say, their catfish bites here are thinner than the Taylorsville one. I also enjoy their lobster bisque - creamy and has a heavy lobster taste, yummy! The seafood boil was good, clams were small though. The service was fine. Nice and clean spot - brand new! PS - I got the extra hot for the seafood boil and did not taste any heat :( read more

I hate to be that person, but this was the first time eating here and will not be back. From the Calamari being OVERLY salty to our crab, shrimp, crawfish and sausage not being very flavorful. We all ordered the Mr. & Mrs. crab special for seasonings and medium and it was like it was just butter overly salted butter with no flavor. It was gross. We ate what we could, but left so much food in the boil bag. I'm so disappointed especially hearing great reviews, I was so excited to try a new place. Wasn't worth the money at all. Maybe it was just a really off night and the cook doesn't know what actual seasoning is besides salt? Not quite sure. You can see in the pics no seasoning. read more

We are new fans of this place the food is so good. Flavors are perfect. Seafood is good quality. Our server Ben was very personable and friendly and helpful. This was a disappointment. We got the king crab, shrimp, and breadsticks. The breadsticks tasted like they were fried and tasted were soaked in oil. They were not very soft. The seafood did not taste high quality. The sausage tasted like hot dogs. We couldn't eat it. We had high hopes as this was our first time here. Wish I could say it was better! read more

This place is fun to come to for the experience more than the food. We got the broil and added crawfish and a lobster tail. Taste was good, not great. Lots of butter and seasoning. Very fun to bring my kids to, and I would come again. I would not however order the lobster again, not worth the $23 extra. I'd order more potatoes and more crab. The coconut shrimp was also good. Service was good as well. Overall, good food and good experience. Not a place I would frequent, unless I wanted to have a heart attack haha read more

I had such a great experience at Mr. & Mrs. Crab! The food is honestly amazing and the staff is super attentive. They really make sure their customers are taken care of. Today I ordered the snow crab, shrimp, and sausage combo Cajun-style with extra hot seasoning--absolutely delicious! My partner built his own combo with garlic butter and extra hot, and it was just as flavorful. Everything tasted fresh and seasoned perfectly. Our server Kyra was wonderful she was friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations. The manager Sean even came by to check on us asked us what we got and let us know what he likes to eat. Super friendly They also have great specials: half off appetizers on Wednesdays and right now they're giving out these Halloween tote bags for purchases over $45 (such a fun bonus!). A southern crab boil is a unique experience and not one I'd tried before now. The atmosphere is fun and the food was delicious. Our servers were fantastic, and the quality of the food was also quite good. If you've never done it before, it's worth a try our group really liked the blue muscles and the king crab. Next time I hope to go and try the scallops and blue crab! read more

The food is very expensive I question if they use a scale even though they price everything as 1/2 0r 1 lb . I suspect the crab legs are cooked and frozen then reheated most of the meat is sticking to the inside of the sheep making it difficult to extract. Most food comes in a plastic bad with choices of butter or spices it's like eating out of a garbage bag. The corn is over cooked. I suspect this is more of a Cajan type sea food rather than a traditional seafood place. Not my type read more

Fun place with great decor and amazing flavor. Katie was our excellent guide. We got Lobster Bisque, Salad, Fries, and the CrabFam Classic. Plenty of food for the two of us which was served far sooner than we expected. They even gave us a Christmas ornament. We'll be back with our kids and grandkids. read more

I spent $132 on a take out order that I picked up at the given time and lived only 5 mins away. As I tried to eat the food it was all extremely overcooked to the point where it was inedible. The crab was fishy and the lobster was extremely chewy as well as the shrimp and the corn was so cooked it was mushy. I asked if I could bring the food back for a partial refund and that was when they told me they had a no refunds policy which was not stated on the payment receipt. they offered to remake the food (which would cost them the same amount as refunding me) or a discount for the next time but I had already lost my appetite and will not be returning to use any sort of discount. I did a pick up order around 7pm thursday. I ordered big eats and calamari. It seems like my food has been sitting under a warmer for a long time and then just gave it to my boyfriend. I ordered it right before he arrived there and waited about 5 minutes max and my food was ready. The seafood tasted like it's been sitting. The crab legs were very fishy. Food was great! My husband and I shared S-4 boil and got the fish and chips. I'd recommend getting an add in to the boil of whatever is your favorite item. The batter of the fish was also on point.
