We went a little before dinner at on Saturday and we were the only ones there are a second but everyone who works there was super welcoming and friendly! We were quick to be seated and were recommended a couple of their most popular dishes. We knew that we were wanting to get the Passionfruit juice because we had read good things, so we each got one of those and we both got one of the popular dishes. I got the fried pork with Mac and cheese, and then a side of rice and beans. The fried pork was super yummy and crispy, and the Mac and cheese was good too! My friend got the fried plantains and those were one of my favorite things I had there, alongside the passionfruit drink! The restaurant was clean, and vibes were good! Holy moly I have never had Haitian food and was absolutely blown away. Beautiful family members cooking in the kitchen and sharing their heart and soul in their home made dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection. I learned from Cami that these were all of her mother's original home recipes. Delicious!! Stopped here on a business trip for lunch. I got the 8 piece appetizer griot with plantains, and a tropical juice with mango. It came with a little side of slaw with a little kick to it. I ordered to-go and they made my food fresh while I waited. It didn't take too long and I got my drink to sip on while they cooked my food. All parts of the meal were so delicious. I truly need to know how to make the slaw, it's so good. Tempted to go back later today to try more from their menu. Provo is slept on when it comes to diverse cuisine. I've been wanting to try Golden Bees for a while. My first time trying Haitian cuisine. This is a family run business from a Haitian family. I had the pleasure of having the owner take my order and make recommendations. Menus are online through a QR code with pictures along each item for those unfamiliar with the cuisine I got the Grenadia, a passion fruit drink, it comes in a huge mason jar, sweet, a little tart, refreshing. Akra as the appetizer, it's a like a fritter or hush puppy made of yucca and yautia, super flavorful with a hint of spice. It comes with a tangy slaw on the side, almost a pickled flavor. I was a fan of this. There were wings and these patties that are like meat pies I wanted to order but I'll have to come back to try them next time. For my entree I got the fried goat. It comes with beans and rice and a sauce on the side. The goat was tender and oh so flavorful. Those beans and rice were rich and tasty. The beans were a bigger white bean, not the rice and beans you're thinking. Exceptional service and hospitality, I recommend giving them a try if you're in the area read more

This is the best restaurant I've been to in Provo in a long time. The food was simply incredible. We got the fried beef and the chicken with sauce with mac and cheese and bean-rice. I'm sending all my friends here because it was so good. You also got a lot of food-- it wasn't cheap, but it could easily be two meals. We both left stuffed, with take-out boxes. read more

Funny how this came up as a nearby restaurant after hiking Mount Timpanogos cave. NOT! But even so, we're always on a lookout for different cuisines, so we decided to try this Haitian food. The most authentic food is usually mom and pop shops, like this one. The staff were friendly and the owner explained the dishes pretty well and helped us decide on our order. Be sure to check with the staff when ordering because they offer dishes not on the menu, such as the warm cornmeal dessert that we got. We ordered the goat with beet salad (love it!) and rice with beans, lalo with boiled plantain and mac and cheese, baked patties, korossol, and cornmeal beverage. All the dishes were excellent! The goat and lalo were unique in flavor, using mostly unfamiliar spices. I will definitely come back here with the whole family and try their fried beef and chicken dishes. read more

I was honestly not super excited about sharing the hot dog spaghetti my husband ordered, but if I could figure out a way to recreate it, I'd put it in our meal rotation.
