The food was so good, like literally so good. I loved the rice especially. I sent my grandparents here and they loved it too! Service was kind. It's not fast food, but I felt like it came out at a decent time. Ambiance is quiet.

Provo is slept on when it comes to diverse cuisine. I've been wanting to try Golden Bees for a while. My first time trying Haitian cuisine. This is a family run business from a Haitian family. I had the pleasure of having the owner take my order and make recommendations. Menus are online through a QR code with pictures along each item for those unfamiliar with the cuisine I got the Grenadia, a passion fruit drink, it comes in a huge mason jar, sweet, a little tart, refreshing. Akra as the appetizer, it's a like a fritter or hush puppy made of yucca and yautia, super flavorful with a hint of spice. It comes with a tangy slaw on the side, almost a pickled flavor. I was a fan of this. There were wings and these patties that are like meat pies I wanted to order but I'll have to come back to try them next time. For my entree I got the fried goat. It comes with beans and rice and a sauce on the side. The goat was tender and oh so flavorful. Those beans and rice were rich and tasty. The beans were a bigger white bean, not the rice and beans you're thinking. Exceptional service and hospitality, I recommend giving them a try if you're in the area

I happened upon this restaurant quite by accident and what a delightful find! The food was delicious and the serving portions were plentiful. It was a good value for the price (I had leftovers for 2nd dinner ;) The owner/host was so friendly and engaging. The decor is clean and fresh. I will definitely go here again!

Goat with beet salad (love it!) and with with beans. The sauce on the side tasted similar to Mexican birria sauce.

Funny how this came up as a nearby restaurant after hiking Mount Timpanogos cave. NOT! But even so, we're always on a lookout for different cuisines, so we decided to try this Haitian food. The most authentic food is usually mom and pop shops, like this one. The staff were friendly and the owner explained the dishes pretty well and helped us decide on our order. Be sure to check with the staff when ordering because they offer dishes not on the menu, such as the warm cornmeal dessert that we got. We ordered the goat with beet salad (love it!) and rice with beans, lalo with boiled plantain and mac and cheese, baked patties, korossol, and cornmeal beverage. All the dishes were excellent! The goat and lalo were unique in flavor, using mostly unfamiliar spices. I will definitely come back here with the whole family and try their fried beef and chicken dishes.

We were just passing by and intrigued. Everything tasted amazing. Serving size was big enough for a dinner & leftover lunch. Service was quick and great. Next time I'm in town, would like to come back!

On Fridays they have Lalo with jute leaves, spinach and pork. Served with a potato&beet salad, rice and a pureed bean gravy. Fabulous!

After providing a printed ticket, she insisted that I pay her personal Venmo instead of paying with cash. So I paid her Venmo for the bill's total and left a cash tip at the table. A little over a month after our visit, I received an email from Venmo letting me know that the front staff submitted a dispute against my payment. Her name on Venmo is ***Jiamin Wu***. There are many other payments to this lady the day before, the day of my visit, and the day after for the same exact things (ramen, sushi, lunch). The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the owner was a pleasure as he walls around and chatted with everyone. I enjoyed the wagyu, ramen noodles, and all the veggies! Eating it with the tonkatsu broth was great, but I also loved dipping it in the sesame and teriyaki sauce. So many different ways to experience it! The cream cheese wontons were also a hit. The appetizers are included in the all you can eat price, so try them! The big downside to Mr. Shabu is that it's so expensive. I would come back all the time if it weren't for the price. You have to do "all-you-can-eat" for the hot pots, and it costs over $30 per person. Because of that, I probably won't return anytime soon and it makes me very sad.

I did not care for the crispy potatoes on the bottom because they were all extremely overcooked and way too crispy. The side salad was drenched in ranch.
