The items here sold out quick! The line is no where near as bad as the neighboring Uncle Tetsu but there is still some wait time. The icecream is also somewhat pricey but the quality is really good. We waited 15-20 minutes, because I'm a huge fan of matcha flavoured desserts. I didn't go out of my way to go there, we were randomly in the area for dinner and happen to come across it. So in terms of convenience, this shop was located in an easy accessible area. I only wanted to try their matcha soft serve, and to be honest, I was initially off-put because of the price. I would have gone elsewhere but that other place was closed by the time we finished dinner. I cannot comment on their other menu items but I was not disappointed with the matcha soft serve in a cone. It was pricey (I think $6.50 after tax?) but I do honestly feel that based on the location (near Eaton Centre), the amount you get (I struggled to finish it all by myself-- or maybe it's because I just had a full dinner before getting the cone?), and because matcha powder was not exactly cheap (I could taste the matcha flavour very well), I don't think it was completely unfair to be paying that much. It was a treat for me, something I would have consider getting only once in a while, so I understand their pricing. Luckily we managed to snag a spot on the tatami mat to enjoy our dessert cones. We didn't feel rushed, the service was polite, and from what I've heard from my friend, our visit was more efficient than it use to be when it first opened. Lastly, I didn't give it 5 stars because I only tried one item on their menu, and because their seating was so limited. (But these are poor reasons to take a star away, I'll also admit.) read more

Great decor, the interior seems well thought out. I wish there was more seating as every time I go there's not any room to sit and eat. Sometimes the line up gets a bit long but the longest I've ever had to wait is probably 10 minutes (definitely worth it). Staff is friendly and does a good job. The daifuku is amazing and if it's available I will never hesitate to buy a piece or two, despite the moderate-high price tag. I've also had other pastries with the green tea cream filling from here, as well as the cake (all of which are good), but the daifuku is still my go to. The green tea cream inside is perfection. The matcha soft serve rings in at a medium-high intensity and has great consistency. Not too grainy or sticky like a few other places I can think of. Also has the perfect level of sweetness! The first time I ordered I was a little sad by the fact that my soft serve was hollow, so just watch out for that. The sundaes have additions of mochi or red bean, amongst other things, and bump the cost up to around 9-10 dollars. You can also add these items individually for an additional 1 dollar or so. IMO neither of these things is worth it -- just get plain matcha soft serve. Unfortunately, they only serve the desserts and soft serve in one size, which is not a big deal (this just means i'll have to get 2). read more

I live nearby and finally got the chance to drop in during a rare time where the lineup wasn't crazy. The location is quite small, with very little seating room. Coupled with the many people lining up and waiting for their orders, it is hard to enjoy your ice cream in the shop. The staff seemed friendly and took care in making the sundaes. I had the Tsujiri sundae. The green tea ice cream was decent, although not spectacular. One can get green tea ice cream of similar quality at the nearby Uncle Tetsu's cafe, which typically has much shorter lineups. While the sundae was good, the price seemed a little high for what you get. Overall, Tsujiri is probably worth trying if you are curious about Japanese desserts or are into matcha, but I would wait for a time when the line is short, as the wait can be quite lengthy otherwise. read more

Very solid 4 stars, only thing for that extra star needs (LESS SUGAR) first few bites of the signature ice cream, flavour is extraordinary, I like it a lot it is the best matcha ice cream you will find in Toronto stronger flavour that uncle tetsu, but once you are half way you feel the guilt kicking it, that thing is too sweet!! Love this damn place for matcha soft serve. Definitely creamier than uncle tetsu. The only thing I don't like about the place is the portion sizes. Although the last time I went there was one particular girl who just went HAM on the ice cream so I ended up with a rather large cone but generally speaking the desserts are very modest in size. The other complaint is that for one of the sundaes I got it had red bean as a topping. It was more like red bean was the main ingredient. SOS Roadside Service offered by Costco Canada is not a great service. It is very difficult to cancel your order and receive the refund as is the case when you buy and return a product to Costco. Within 3 days of buying this product, and without ever using the services offered by this product, I approached Costco to cancel and refund but it looks it will take for ever to get the refund, if at all I do get it at all. read more

One of my favorite Matcha place in Toronto. The only reason I give 3 star to this place is I got really unpleasant experience here. I ordered my ice cream in 'cone' and they served me in cup. I asked them that I ordered in cone but they were asking me extra charge if I change into cone. I never ordered in cup in my life since I love to eat cone. Cashier girl tried to change my order into cone since it was her mistake to mark it as cup, but the other girl who speaks good English who seems like manager-ish tried to stop the cashier girl and told me that the receipt is marked as CUP so they can't change my order into cone unless I pay extra. The only reason I said it's okay for having a cup because the cashier girl seems so much in trouble to look at me and the manager-ish girl. I felt sorry to her since she looks like she will cry soon. My boyfriend and I came here after seeing all the delicious posts online. We got two matcha and hojicha floats. They were absolutely delicious. I also got a matcha daifuku, which was a little disappointing. I won't deny it was delicious, but the glutenous layer was not thick enough and it tore in the box. finally tried the Tsujiri sundae that always seems to sell-out! have to say the sakura cookie was delicious and the roasted rice on the bottom added great texture...but I still prefer the shaved ice w/ matcha soft serve)! the shaved ice gives you a lot more matcha flavour than the soft serve by itself and I'll be ordering that from now on. love Tsujiri~!! it's a bit expensive for sure but it's worth it to treat yourself every once in a while! read more

Walked by on a hot day and there was no line so I though I'd try it out. Asked them what was the best thing on their menu and they said the tsujiri sundae, so I ordered it. The matcha ice cream itself was very good. It was interesting to have the combo of salty puffed rice, rice cakes and the sweet ice cream, but at $7 it's pretty pricey for what you get. Love the super creamy soft serve with strong matcha flavour. The cream puffs are delicious but make sure you eat them while still cold, otherwise the filling becomes mushy. The macarons are too crunchy but the nice with the read bean filling. Wouldn't buy the macarons again. The prices are a bit steep so its good for an occasional treat. read more

The overall experience is decent, I was told it would taste better when they serve with warm cake, but mine was cold already, I guess that depends on what time you go. Prices are a bit high but pretty tasty. I've had the green tea soft serve as well as the ice cream on shaved ice. Even though it's called "shaved ice" they really do put a lot more on it such as small mochi, cookies, soft serve, etc. If you're not sure what to order, observe what they make for the other customers when you're waiting in line to see what everything looks like, because the menu isn't too descriptive. Line isn't super long these days and it's worth a try if the wait looks ok. read more
