    HI Roots Realty is currently managing our property and I wish we were working with them earlier…read more This is a review standpoint from the property owner side: - great communication between owner and property manager - owner portal is easy to navigate - organization is hard to beat (open communication from PM on what needs to be fixed, bills to pay for Hawaii property taxes etc) - contracts are easy to read for someone who is not in real estate (owner to business, tenant leases etc) - noticeable care taking for tenants (I noticed how much they value their clients by ensuring the fixes of the house is in good standing and comfortable) They value their clients and have had a great experience thus far. And then retaliate charging for normal wear and tear of a house falling apart. We have pictures too. Shameful No damage was done on the property, as stated on the invoice this is normal wear and tear. Also this is a two unit property shared garage cans. With another tenant who also used the garbage cans, where we even helped our senior lower unit tenant dump her garbage the day we moved out, And when we moved in the cans were full and we had to request it to be removed. We have emails showing the cans were full and removed with rental company. Returning property as it was found, no damage done to the property. Normal wear and tear on the invoice and some are not even real. Duck tape so rodents don't go in the house.. wear and tear! And all health issues gone since moving out Security deposit can not be deducted for no damage and just wear and tear, as seen on invoice to the property. The towel bar was like 40 years old! Sean and Cathy can kick rocks with slippers on. Extremely unprofessional and unethical.

It's has been there since 2019 same sticker ,but it was towed anyway , I have been trying to get my $265.00 dollars back for over two years . I have personally written the owner Ken Lee And I have personally written Mrs.J Lee and if course the office with Rose not one person that I have written contacted me . I asked for a sit down with owners and I was told my problems are not enough to have a meeting with the owners . They let the hired help answer personal questions and they them decide weather or not you deserve to have a meeting ? WHAT !!!!! There is no communication what so ever ,and there news letters that tell you ,you must have a parking sticker !! I have cars parking over night in front of my home and not one time has a tow truck even been in the vicinity!! Why Don't they pay back the money from the unlawfully tow of my vehicle? I have lived here 16 almost 17 years in the same unit and I was never tired before they took over management.,there were 3 companies before these people . How many more people has this happened to ? I bet a crapload Now there raising my rent from 12 hundred a month to 19 hundred a month and not only that but adding $700.00 fir security hahaha my car was towed from the stall I rent and I have to pay an increase in my security hahahaha, they didn't care when covid hit us ! They just kept handing out late fees ,What ! They spend money rebuilding and unit fixing and buying new homes but fail to answer any letters or pay back clearly what they owe me the tenant. What do you do when there scamahorns among the decent rent paying people. Please lmk if this has happened to you .this has to stop . Im sick of renting from people who clearly can't stand us and have no compassion or organization or no communication skills Really this is sad to report I wish I could have found someone who cared as long as I've been living here . Remember how it use to be when landlords cared about the people who pay on time and have a nice place . They care more about fixing drug dealers units over and over . The people who have lived here for so long still get treated like strangers , what happened to these people they came so greedy that they over look the reason they have a job in the first place ! Because of we the people try to remember this when you deal with people in real life ! We're not in a video ,we're not AI . Were human beings start treating us so. I'm stopping here cause I could go on for ever MAHALO FOR LISTENING !

The community center office staff are kind, they are always willing to help with whatever and respectful. If they are not available when you call, they call back the next day. Truly love the maintenance guys. They are friendly fun to talk to and do a good job with the maintenance. I haven't had any issues with the unit other than basic small repairs. Landscaping team does good work keeping the community looking nice. A excellent value for the quality of housing. After two years living in HMR, they have been consistent in providing great customer service in every way. Great place to call home!

They hire all these people: * Maintenance Supervisor (Appliance/Warehouse/HVAC) * General Maintenance Technician (Duct Cleaner/Service) * Laborer * Cleaner * Warehouse Specialist * Special Projects Associate. Mainscape yard work people. With Military Police AND new or old Renters! Island Palms Communities Managers Gabe Kalama and Joanna Padilla and Benjamin Jury from housing tell all these workers to bully and harrass you!! He also tells renters who will listen to him to bully and harrass you!! Maybe in exchange for free rent!! GIVE ALL THEM DRUG TEST!!
