I've had HiPacific for more than 4 years, and they have been outstanding every step of the way. I'm involved in service issues because I requested to be, and this allows me to screen or assist. One example: recently the electric stove was not working. HiPacific sent a tech to diagnose with my permission, the repair was $600+. I decided to replace the stove rather than repair. I've always had trouble getting appliances on Oahu from Home Depot or similar (from remote) - so Yana helped find a vendor with real on-island inventory, and we got it installed within a week. Last year, we had damaged cabinets. I had to be more involved because it was a specialty HOA supplier, but I found new cabinet doors, shipped them from the mainland, and Yana oversaw installation with a local handyman. After reviewing their website, I reached out to them via their online contact form to get the agreement and fees. I got a response the next day with one sentence, "sorry I will need to contact you 1st" There was no hello, thank you for contacting us, nothing professional. What he didn't realize was the website let me auto download the agreement and fees after submitting my contact. When I responded to the email as to what I needed, the response was to see their website. That clearly shows to me what kind of service they provide and their lack of customer service, etc. There was absolutely zero effort to answer my questions or explain to me what they could provide. Had a terrible experience with them managing my property. Tenants had pets (and weren't supposed to) entire apartment smelled like urine. They said they did inspect every 6 months but how the hell did you miss that smell?! Refrigerator and freezer had bugs living inside and freezer smelled like something rotting, so I had to purchase a new one. Fan was broken and fan blade was bent. The AC mount had an open hole so rats were infesting the apartment. Tenants nor PM mentioned it. I spent a lot of money to renovate this apartment and replace a lot of items. If you want someone that is looking out for you don't choose them. Even when I attempted to list the place with them the failed to respond in a decent fashion and when I asked to adjust the price, it took over a week. They suck. Don't use them. read more

Do NOT work with these scammers and punks whether it's to list your property for rent or to acquire a rental property through them. One of the staff, Yana Novikov is the worst to deal with. She states, "I work with integrity"; however, her communication is terrible to say the least and tends to forget things you tell her, even via email or text and forgets what she tells you. Often times she uses the line, "well, here in Hawaii". She needs to stop doing business like she's on an island. Silos are for corn, not business. Claire F, seriously, LOL! Stop with your fabrications in your response. My issue isn't that I didn't get what I applied for. I was stressed out by the lack of communication from Kateryna. I don't understand why this company cannot understand that efficient communication is key, especially if youre a property manager in real estate! What is it about this company since they cannot get that through their thick head baffles me! I've read prior reviews and a homeowner (Marisabel G) wrote a 1 star review bc she said her tenants struggled with communication, so she ended up managing it herself. I wonder who her property manager was, perhaps I will write her a personal message n find out. I own 2 dogs, which most landlords don't allow in homes. There are very few places that accept pets, so that left me in the very difficult position with finding a comfortable place that not only fit my needs, but my timeframe too. Honolulu is a very small city, so it's easy to put 2 in 2 together n figure out that there are very selective homes that I was eligible to rent! I suspect that this was the reason that the property owner did not select me, not my paper work, as the ad said pets were negotiable. Only now I'm being told that the property owner wasn't comfortable of my paperwork is the first time that I am hearing this! So only now do I have the courtesy and privilege of hearing this through Yelp after the fact n it takes me to write a NEGATIVE review? Why couldn't Kateryna have called me to tell me this so I could rectify my paperwork as I have more verifiable financial sources? I received NO email to confirm I wasn't chosen so excuse me n stop it with your LIES!!! This review posted 4/20, if you can prove Kateryna sent an email anytime before that date stating I was not approved to rent, then she would be doing her job. However you can't provide any time stamped screenshot that she did so because no such email exists! Go ahead I dare you to screenshot n post it to Yelp! After I paid $55 for the application fee it's not unreasonable to expect the courtesy to tell the prospective tenant that they weren't chosen. Right, because Kateryna is inconsiderate and as a fact, her work ethic sucks ass majorly. Just FYI last time I spoke to her when I called her I told her to let me know if I was able to rent, n she told me ok, but really, she didn't give a rats ass. Comb through her records n see that that is a fact. Hence, you'll see that's correct, she never did bc she doesn't take pride in her work. Regarding these bull crap call logs, 99% the time it documents that I MADE to Kateryna, not vice versa. She answers the phone very RARELY n doesn't respond or answer 8 to 9 out of 10 times. Just because she communicated with me a little bit just to get what she needs doesn't mean she's doing a thorough, proficient job with dedicated effort. Ever heard of going the extra mile in your work n everything you do? Ever heard of trying your best? That DEFINITELY IS NOT her. The work she puts in is way less than a half assed job, which is what I meant in my original review. The only call she made to me was just ONCE to ask about my income. I'm angry bc Kateryna will not take the initiative herself to contact prospective tenants. Once you verify this I'm sure you won't have an argument. If you would like to provoke me and continue this argument, I am more than happy to have my husband write you a 2ND REVIEW as Kateryna NEVER even gave him the time of day to respond. Get over trying to do damage control n take a good, honest review as constructive criticism.
