Be very careful renting from Fahrni Realty if you're trying to live a somewhat normal life. Most of…read moretheir tenants are Section 8, and they show no class or consideration for their neighbors or surroundings. Expect blasting bass music from multiple units all day, every day. On top of that, some keep roosters crammed in tiny cages, crowing nonstop from as early as 3 AM. When I complained, the realtor told me to "file a police report or call animal control," which blew my mind. Every landlord I've ever had before had strict rules--fines or even eviction after repeated complaints. Moral of the story: if you rent here, prepare to live next to the worst of the worst. There are no rules, no consequences, and reckless living is completely unchecked. I'm setting up security cameras to document what I've been dealing with from these inconsiderate neighbors. My plan is to share the footage publicly so people can see exactly what I've had to go through. Over time, with enough evidence, I hope to take legal action against them for disturbing the peace, disrupting my sleep, and preventing me from enjoying my own home. I may also pursue action against the realty company for failing to take this situation seriously despite knowing about the issues.

If you are looking to buy or sell a home, Barb is truly the person you want by your side. We…read morehonestly could not have asked for a better person to guide our family through such an important and emotional process. From the very beginning, Barb made us feel like we were her only clients. She was always five steps ahead, always prepared, and somehow always had an answer before we even knew we had a question. We never felt lost, forgotten, or out of the loop for even a moment. What meant the most to us was knowing that Barb genuinely cared. We never felt like we were just another transaction. She went above and beyond for our family in more ways than we could ever list. From day one, we felt that she had our backs--and she proved it over and over again. One moment that really stands out happened the day before our final walkthrough. We had an issue with our hot tub, and Barb immediately jumped into action. Within an hour, she had someone at our house, and the problem was fixed that same day. Our walkthrough went perfectly, and we closed on our home the very next day. That was just one of what feels like a hundred things she did for us. Her communication was truly incredible. We never had to wonder what was happening or what came next because Barb was always keeping us informed and prepared. She did what she said she would do, and she did it without hesitation. Knowing we could completely trust her took so much stress out of the process. Buying or selling a home can be overwhelming, but Barb made us feel supported, protected, and cared for every step of the way. We are incredibly grateful for everything she did for our family and would recommend her from the bottom of our hearts to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. Thank you, Barb, for everything. We will always be grateful that you were the one who stood beside us through it all!

My husband and I were searching for a home where our family of six could truly grow. We knew we didn't want a cookie-cutter house, high HOA fees, or something far away from everything. We wanted a place we could make our own and have room to expand over time. We know we weren't always the easiest clients, but Barbara stuck with us through every step of the process. After looking at countless homes, getting outbid, backing out of escrow, and honestly feeling discouraged about whether buying in Hawaii was even possible for us, Barbara never gave up. With so much patience, hard work, and encouragement, she suggested we take a look at a home that wasn't even on our radar. The moment we walked in, we just knew. A gem like that doesn't stay on the market for long, and somehow, it became ours. Over the years, Barbara has watched our family grow and has truly become like an aunty to our kids. We're beyond grateful for everything she's done for our family and will recommend her.

The Honolulu Management team got on our radar through a mutual family recommendation. We have used…read moretheir services to manage our property 4000+ miles away from our current residence. They are very professional, quick to respond to inquiries, and the best part, only contact you when it is necessary. We couldn't be any happier and more at ease leaving our property to be managed by this team! When we moved 4 years ago, we left our property in the hands of the Honolulu Management team. They are very understanding of our concerns of our property, but also respect our decisions when it comes to increasing or maintaining rent prices based on the market value. These discussions are always professional, keeping the renter, the team, and our financial needs as the core of our talks- Ensuring we are not over pricing but also being cognizant of Hawaii cost of living for our renters. We have had a total of 3 families rent our home in Hawaii since we moved to the mainland 4 years ago. For those who own, you know how stressful upkeep is on a monthly, semi-annual, and yearly basis. Renting your property adds to that stress, because as the landlord you are responsible for any fixes and damages that need to be done while your home is occupied. Of the 3 families that rented, all communication ran through the Honolulu Management team. Within the 4 years, we have had issues from repainting, patching, cleaning, A/C repair, water leaks, Appliance replacements, and the annual property checks. Through all these issues, the team handled all the logistics, communicating to us only the financing required and or approval of work orders. Let me tell you, that I'm more than glad having this team look out for my property while we are 4000+ miles and 4 time zones away! The cherry on top is that they use reputable vendors for work orders that need to be completed on property. It's great when invoices are transparent with a list and pictures to confirm issues. Their working relationship with these vendors also provides a quick response as needed, allowing our renters ease of mind when in need of a fix like plumbing or appliance repair. I firmly believe the price we pay to utilize their services to manage our property is money well spent on this team. If you are looking for a team to handle the management of your property, then look no further because they can do it all!

The problem with reviews of property management companies is that usually, the only people who…read moreinclude reviews are those who have had bad experiences with the company and you miss out on what could be many positive reviews. That being said, I signed a lease with T&A less than a month ago and have been working to build a relationship with the company (so no flaming gonna happen here). Here are some items you can expect to see on leases produced by T&A that are different than other property management companies: -No direct deposit service for monthly rent. -The address listed on this company page is not the address listed on the lease to which tenants mail their rent checks. That Address is a PO Box. -When asked if post-dated checks would be accepted to ensure rent is paid on time, the landlord responded in the negative. This means the method deemed acceptable by the property management company is to snail-mail a personal check every month to arrive on or before the 1st of the month. They do offer a 2 day grace period. In the event of a missed payment, the tenant will incurr -The lease may require you to obtain renter's insurance (not surprising), the lease may also require that you add the property management company and the owner of the property to be added to your insurance policy as a "additionally insured party." Again, not incredibly surprising, but it was a new factor I had not seen on previous leases. Overall, my experiences with the company have been positive. The managing agent for my particular property has conducted himself professionally and communicated promptly in all our correspondences. The deduction of 2 stars is mostly due to the lack of options to pay the rent. I feel as though in 2015 (soon to be 2016) a direct deposit option should be standard for a property management company.

Update: Just a couple fact checks.... I provided a picture…read moreof Raeni's text. This shows she scheduled a time for us to pick up the keys early. She said at your office "that's what we do here at remax to help our tenants out" I even asked her if I owed her more rent for moving in early. So do not blame that on us. When we moved in the place was a mess. I also contacted Jay the previous tenant and she also stated when she moved in the place was a mess and the owners father would come by and just band-aid everything (also, if anyone wonders, Jay was the tenant just before us. You can see her review on Facebook for Aloha Remax) Second fact... The 7k check I got was an agreed on contract. You and the owner wanted my family of 5 to pick up and move again after we lived in the property for only a week. That was not a gift, it was an agreement. I get 4800 and my deposit back and you get a empty house to sell. The owner and I both had a huge compromise in that matter. Don't pat yourself on the back. Also we told you guys on June 3rd about mold in the kitchen and the bathroom. Not one single company came to remove said mold in the whole month we were there. We moved out on July 5th. You had two companies provide quotes, but the owners father who does not specialize in mold decided he was going to do one of his band aid fixes. We said no, we would like a professional to fix the mold issue and moved out of that mold infested place. Also your Gift ( cheap wine and box of chocolates) was nice. But when you rent out a $2300 home at least have the place clean when someone moves in. I have a few hundred pictures I can gladly upload on that. Then when you follow that up with never cleaning the air conditioner and never removing the mold and fixing the water damaged wall that was dripping from when you flush the toilet (Gross). It's hard to be thankful for cheap wine and chocolate. But thanks for the health hazard. Much love We rented a house through Remax at 95-1034 Ainamakua Dr. Apt 17A. We only lived there for a month as the owner wanted to sell. In that month, we dealt with Mold and numerous other issues. (We had 3 mold inspectors confirm it was mold) this house is up for sale right now. So please have the downstairs bathroom ceiling carefully inspected along with the kitchen. There is also water damage from the upstairs toilet leaking. I say all this because they love to put Band-Aids over big problems instead of actually fixing things. Before you sign anything with them, make sure you have this house carefully inspected. I would also have an air quality test done. Also, be aware, we showed up while the cleaners for the rental property were there and it was Ray's wife an son. Very strange. But just a side note.
