Update: Just a couple fact checks.... I provided a picture of Raeni's text. This shows she scheduled a time for us to pick up the keys early. She said at your office "that's what we do here at remax to help our tenants out" I even asked her if I owed her more rent for moving in early. So do not blame that on us. When we moved in the place was a mess. I also contacted Jay the previous tenant and she also stated when she moved in the place was a mess and the owners father would come by and just band-aid everything (also, if anyone wonders, Jay was the tenant just before us. You can see her review on Facebook for Aloha Remax) Second fact... The 7k check I got was an agreed on contract. You and the owner wanted my family of 5 to pick up and move again after we lived in the property for only a week. That was not a gift, it was an agreement. I get 4800 and my deposit back and you get a empty house to sell. The owner and I both had a huge compromise in that matter. Don't pat yourself on the back. Also we told you guys on June 3rd about mold in the kitchen and the bathroom. Not one single company came to remove said mold in the whole month we were there. We moved out on July 5th. You had two companies provide quotes, but the owners father who does not specialize in mold decided he was going to do one of his band aid fixes. We said no, we would like a professional to fix the mold issue and moved out of that mold infested place. Also your Gift ( cheap wine and box of chocolates) was nice. But when you rent out a $2300 home at least have the place clean when someone moves in. I have a few hundred pictures I can gladly upload on that. Then when you follow that up with never cleaning the air conditioner and never removing the mold and fixing the water damaged wall that was dripping from when you flush the toilet (Gross). It's hard to be thankful for cheap wine and chocolate. But thanks for the health hazard. Much love We rented a house through Remax at 95-1034 Ainamakua Dr. Apt 17A. We only lived there for a month as the owner wanted to sell. In that month, we dealt with Mold and numerous other issues. (We had 3 mold inspectors confirm it was mold) this house is up for sale right now. So please have the downstairs bathroom ceiling carefully inspected along with the kitchen. There is also water damage from the upstairs toilet leaking. I say all this because they love to put Band-Aids over big problems instead of actually fixing things. Before you sign anything with them, make sure you have this house carefully inspected. I would also have an air quality test done. Also, be aware, we showed up while the cleaners for the rental property were there and it was Ray's wife an son. Very strange. But just a side note. read more

First off, I have to state that it pains me to have to write this review. I don't like to say anything a bad about a small businessman working hard to make a living and people are allowed to have bad days. It took me a long time to finally post this review, but's it's been several months and I believe that I need to warn others about this guy before he hurts more people. Warning!!! This guy is a total con artist. He claims to be a property manager and had my house for 5 months and made absolutely ZERO effort to rent my property. He would never communicate with me and I would not hear from him until the end of the month when he would call to give me ridiculous excuses for why he could rent the place. And was constantly trying to get me to lower by rent for way below market price. ( I have a feeling he does this to homeowners who are out of town, so that he can cause them to lose money, get frustrated and out of desperation ask him to buy or sell their home to get it off their hands. ... I could be wrong) Anyways, I flew back to Hawaii to put my house up for rent myself. He refused to give me my pool keys or mailbox keys and stated that he did not work in Saturdays and I would have to wait on a weekday for his assistant to return the keys when they offices are open. (HE IS THE ONLY REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL IVE EVER HEARD OF THAT DOESN'T WORK ON SATURDAYS. That's what they do, work on weekends when buyers are off from work!!!) Long story short, I was able to find an excellent renter in ONE WEEKEND and he had my property for FIVE MONTHS. And I am NOT a professional. And that almost didn't happen, because when it tried to list my house on Zillow, this fool blocked me and had my listing erased, by reporting to Zillow that he was the property manager and my listing was fraudulent! I took 2 more days to get in touch will Zillow and had the situation corrected. It turned out that he placed my house on real-estate website and and it was NOT visible to renters doing a search unless you type in the address directly. He was not actively trying to rent my property, he was playing games and hoping that I would get tired of paying the mortgage or run out of money and get him to buy my house for check out of desperation. I have logged months of calls when he would never answer and when I called the office, I would get told that he's was busy OR he was on vacation. Update: How crazy is this asshole!!! Actively lying and threatening me with his reply. I'm not worried buddy, I am paying my Hawaii excise tax and I do have a local contact for my property. You truly have no shame!!! read more
