There are wonton noodles for soup and stir fry like what the restaurants use. There are 2 versions of 5lb boxed noodles, one with egg and one without egg. 5lb box for 9$; less than 2$ a lb. About as cheap as walmart barilla pasta. The potsticker wrappers are fresher than the other brands at 99ranch. They are easier to push in filling with a wrapper which you can stretch when filling. Behaves more like fresh dough. 6$ for bag of fortune cookies. Difficult to find these in retail stores. Had to go to the factory outlet. read more

All I have to say is 5 lb bag of "mis-fortune" cookies for less than $20. They take cash only and it's in a very modest entrance- standard metal warehouse door and the food is on a shelf just to the right inside the "door". They have a fridge with noodles and won ton wrappers and some other food items. There is 30 minute parking for pickups and drop offs on the street and it took less than five minutes to grab and pay for the cookies. The cookies are VERY fresh and tasty. Years ago the same bag was less than $10 but just like everything prices have gone up. It looks like the business name is posted above fences and for lease signs but that isn't where the warehouse entrance is so disregard that part of the building. read more

My family has used the Rose Brand Chinese egg noodles for at least 35 years that I am aware of. We use them exclusively in a baked chicken dish that a family favorite. Wouldn't be the same without the Rose Brand Noodle. I buy them by the case at their store in downtown Seattle. read more

Rose Brand gets me the fresh egg noodles that I crave for when making noodle dishes like wanton noodles, and mee pok (al dente with lard, served with pork and mee pok sauce =P). I find that going to the store gets me fresher noodles than if I go to the supermarket. Those go out of stock in supermarkets rather quickly, which is good because when they restock, I know that it is relatively fresh. Update - 2023/2/4. Unfortunately the store is now shuttered with some construction company sign in front. It has been like that since COVID, and it looks like its not coming back. I was born in the 206 before moving to California and I must declare this place has been around for a long time. I remember my aunt taking me here to buy some of those broken fortune cookies because they make a good snack. It wasn't until 2018 that I returned here to buy my own asian goods. Highly likely you have seen Tsue Chong's products if you have visited an Asian supermarket. Though they are named Rose Brand. Tsue Chong is essentially a noodle factory and I visited the retail store in which they offer their goods. Prices here are a little cheaper than elsewhere, but not worth it unless you are already in their area as their hours are a bit short as they close at 2 pm. They are not even open on Sundays. In addition to noodles, Tsue Chong is well known for their ubiquitous fortune cookies found all over town at Chinese establishments. Generally, I find fortune cookies to be a bit tacky and untraditional. Though they taste good. I have not visited any places in SF, Vancouver/Richmond or in Hawaii that actually do. Fortune cookies are truly more indicative of Chinese restaurants in the area following what everyone else is doing. Other than fortune cookies, you will find dried noodles in 5 or 10 pound boxes as well as a refrigerator case with stir fried noodles, udon, wonton noodles and wonton/gyoza wrappers. They also offer rice noodles, though it is hard to tell if they have them or not since they do not display it really. Gotta ask I guess. If you are in the area when they are open, Tsue Chong is a great place to pick up some fresh Chinese noodles. read more

Very strange to arrive here to see a huge line up that starts on the underside of the I5 overpass on Weller Street and runs halfway down the block because of people lining up for the food bank. Original owners are from Toishan, a dialect that I can't understand. That's what granny spoke to me with her accent. But in the last 2 years, the quality is terrible. The flavor is unremarkable and they are over-cooked and hard. Quality: I like their thin wonton pi. Haven't used the bag of noodles I bought yet. Service: Lady who answered the phone was very helpful. Normally the other times I've been there, the guy or a lady were helpful as well, making sure that I got what I needed. Girl at the front desk, not so much. I went to pick up the noodles and asked for 10lb of the steamed noodles like the lady on phone told me to do. She went into the back, another customer came in, she came out. She decided to help that customer instead. I got a little upset because she and the other lady decided to have a little chat as well while I was still waiting and my husband was in the car waiting with the baby. No idea what they spoke, it was Cantonese. She then asked if I wanted the box of pan fry noodles. We eventually worked it out and I got my bag of noodles. This place has been around for a long time, and yet still produces the same high quality cookies and noodle as I remembered 25+ years ago. Every time I am in town, I have to pick up a bag of 5lb cookies for snacks. It's not only tasty but bringing me fond memories. The fresh noodles are also a must try, they are always delicious either cooked with soup or stir fry. One of my childhood favorites. I cannot believe I've been coming here for almost 30 years (moved away from Seattle as a child, was visiting for the weekend)! My mom was happy to hear they are still going strong as well. The storefront is on the corner of King and 8th (don't go to the listed Yelp address since that's the business side). You can get a giant bag (either 5lbs) for ~$7-8 of "unfortunately cookies," which are basically rejects. I got a 1x bag of flat chips for $2.25 and they have some smaller bags with fortunes that are sealed and good for sending as gifts/omiyage. You can also get fresh made noodles in the fridge off to the side. While the noodles are also tasty, I am just in awe of how great the cookies are. When she wants to make her famous dried fried beef noodles (literal translation), this is where she gets the noodles. They have two different types of fortune cookies for sale, they have flat cookies and the traditional cookies in various sizes at an absolute steal. The larger 1lbs bags will only set you back a few bucks. They sell the small traditional cookies in the packages that you will see at Uwajimaya various flavors such as almond and strawberry for under 2 bucks. I went around the holidays and they even had a gingerbread flavor. If you don't care about the shape of your cookies, I would recommend buying the "damaged" cookie bag where the broken cookies all get bundled up and sold at a ridiculous steal. These fortune cookies are on a whole different level. They are crisp and with each bite you get a punch of fragrance that isn't overpowering but just right. They have a slight sweetness to them but not overwhelming where you cant stand to eat more than a few. I can easily power through a 1bs bag. Screw the misfortunate cookies I splurged and went for the real fortune cookies. I wanted green onion pancakes from Szechuan Noodle Bowl the other day; I found a parking spot not even a block away, SCORE! I look around, not much in there, not even a person behind the counter. I check out the refrigerator section and see all kinds of fresh noodles but in 2 lb packs. Now I love me some fresh noodles but there was no way I could buy 2 lbs and eat them before they went bad or I got sick of them, please make smaller packages available Tsue Chong. Than I saw them fresh wonton wrappers. While I was home dying of the flu I watched one too many shows on the Food Network and saw where someone made ravioli using wonton wrappers and while on the couch decided one day I was going to try my own. So I grab a package of wrappers from the refrigerator and than grab some real fortune cookies and headed to the register where someone magically appeared out of thin air. Inside, you'll find delicious and cheap fortune cookies and freshly-made noodles! A small 4 ounce bag will run you nearly $2 and a pound of won ton wrappers will be not much more than that. I've used the won ton wrappers to make a crispy gau gee with ground pork, ginger, and water chestnuts, and it's just plain delicious! They also seem to have a steady supply of chow mein noodles, sui mei wrappers, and chow fun noodles. I think you can also customize your fortunes for the cookies if your heart so desires! Don't get confused - they often LOOK like they're closed because of the bars on the windows, but they're open most days. The wholesale business entrance is on the corner of King & 8th, but the average customer entrance is on Jackson. Tsue Chong is the best place to buy fortune cookies and noodles - they're cheap and always delicious. They also sell "unfortunate" cookies (the flat ones that didn't make it) in 5lb bags for a super discounted price. Stopped by here when I was in Chinatown this afternoon. It's only $7.25 for a large bag of the unfortunate fortune cookies, and $2.25 for the small bag. Keep some at home for yourself and bring the rest to work. Go for the bag with the darker cookies for the most flavor. Love their fortune cookies! read more
