Wow! What a dining experience. Beautiful presentation, great service, and some next level taste. The hubs and I had a lovely dinner this evening. We had the tuna crudo, tomato toast, sea bass, corn on the cob,and tuna. We were so impressed, such great taste and attention to detail. The homemade bread warm warm and toasty, everything was scrumptious, even the broccolini was a taste explosion. For dessert we had the chocolate chip cookies with mascarpone cheese, and they were so decadent. All in all, Chef's kiss‍ !! read more

Atmosphere so so, but food was good. Great filet mignone. Service not so good I wasn't happy with waitress attitude. Busy talking to other waitresses. read more

Coming from nyc the prices were fairly reasonable. We ordered 2 entrees (scallops, quail), an appetizer (escargot and bone marrow) and a side. The food was extremely tasty. Half a star off for service (we waited more than 10 mins to get our food ordered) and another half a star off for it being slightly too salty for us. But overall the food was amazing! read more

We had an amazing meal here tonight. We ordered a few appetizers to start the raviolo which was recommended and very good ! The egg yoke complimented the flavors and overall so good. The second appetizer was the burrata toast this had micro greens, eggplant, and roasted shallots. The flavor of this toast was savory and good you have to try yourself. We also had two cocktails with passion fruit and vodka which were citrus heavy but very good. We also ordered a salad that was the most basic item we ordered. The salad was radish with mixed greens and sherry vinegarette. We opted after going back and forth for the special tips menu . This was to choose between 29 to 36 ounces of rib eye or sirloin steak. We opted for the 30 ounce rib eye.... this was cooked a bit more rare than we prefer but it tasted amazing. There was a peppercorn sauce accompanying the meat. It was a perfect blend of savory sauce and perfectly salted meat. We also ordered the warm bread which was so good and light. We didn't fancy the butter accompaniment but we didn't need it because we had that wonderful peppercorn sauce to dip. We also ordered the broccolini which was prepared perfectly. We also ordered the crispy fingerlings which had a really unique but delicious flavor. We didn't even have room for dessert but it didn't matter this meal was an amazing meal. The service was attentive and spot on. We were not rushed and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. All in all with gratuity we spent a little over 200.00 but it was worth every penny to me. read more

If there was an option to give more than 5 stars, this restaurant would get 10+ stars thats how blown away I was by everything from start to finish. I was able to get a reservation while in Newport on a little anniversary vacation for Saturday night and it exceeded any expectation. Coming from New York, this rivals or beats any dining experience I've ever had. First of all, the staff is so welcoming and friendly, they were attentive and made sure our drinks were quickly ordered. I ordered my usual dirty vodka martini and it was easily the best I have ever had. The olives were amazing, I even ordered an extra side, they were definitely not your average cocktail olives. For dinner, my fiancé and I shared a bunch of dishes and each one was better than the next. The warm bread was perfect with the most amazing butter. The caesar salad was incredible and my fiancé loved the breadcrumb topping, he said it was like having a bite of crouton in each bite, which is always the best part of a caesar salad. The Raviolo was rich and flavorful, perfect size for 2 people to split. Lastly on the appetizer side, we did the beef tartare, which was like a burst of flavor in each bite. It is a good bigger appetizer and the beef melts in your mouth. For a main dish, we split the pork milanese which was on the bone breaded and cooked perfectly, juicy, and not dry at all which can often be an issue with pork. We got a side of broccolini which was also cooked perfectly. If you are looking for an all around 5 star experience with some of the best food you'll ever have, make a reservation here ASAP! We are already planning our trip back just so we can come back here. read more

My wife and I are in agreement...best steak ever. The drinks were also great. Summer, our server and the mixologist, was friendly and on top of everything. This is a definite destination dinner read more

We stumbled on this restaurant and were so glad that we did. The food is incredible. The Cesar salad was the best we have ever had. I had the sea bass and my husband had the halibut. We also shared the escargot and bone marrow app and had mouse and cookies for dessert. I highly recommend everything. Drinks and service were all top notch. read more

Lovely restaurant in Newport. I started out with a Manhattan cocktail, which was served up. It was your typical manhattan. For dinner, I split the 37 oz. ribeye with my mom. The meat was cooked medium rare as requested, and had just the right amount of fat to give it a nice flavor. My wife ordered the halibut porterhouse, which I had several bites of. I have never seen such a thick cut of halibut before. It's a very filling dish (we weren't able to finish it), but very good. Others at the table ordered the lobster, which was a full lobster for only $36. Maybe this is not atypical for the area, but being from Dallas/Kansas I was very surprised how cheap it was. The ambiance was fun and upbeat. We had a 6PM reservation on a Friday night and the bar area was packed the entire time. Overall I thought this was a great spot and would recommend to anyone. read more

I was blown away by this place!! We had the rolls, Caesar salad, simple salad, filet, and broccolini. Everything was incredible. Such a good vibe sitting at the chefs counter. The service was excellent too. We have had so much great food in Newport but this was exceptional. read more

We had bar seats and enjoyed watching the kitchen in action. We could appreciate the attention each dish was given. My husband and I loved our drinks and small plates. Best food I have eaten in a long time. The service was amazing and personable. Do your tastebuds a favor and get one of the Mission cut steaks before they run out. Pair that with the brown butter sauce and the smash fingerling potatoes. My only disappointment was in my stomach for not having more room for dessert! read more

Cream of the Newport crop. To me, Newport has always kinda sucked to me for food, being full of coastal preppy Newport people who seem content to overspend their loot eating the same old same old stuff like a 19th century prisoner ordering his Death Row meal.... and now that I'm thinking about prisoners, you can tell our current Agent Orange POTUS Trump is definitely guilty, b/c he orders steak like a savage: well done with ketchup (Seriously, VOTE in these midterms people! Give reasonable people and good steak a chance!!!) Anyhoo, tsk and the fine folks that skillfully create this inventive food is an exception to my typical blah Newport eating experiences. I looooooved the old tsk, was sad when it closed, was happy to hear when Winner Winner kept the fried chicken goodness alive, and am so happy that tsk is back in business in a more casual space with an adult beverage list that even the Newport bougee wine label whores can overindulge in and give these hard working cooks decent enough margin to afford the absurd costs of rent in fancy real estate so they can keep their under-appreciated lovely food going. Newport really needed a restaurant at the caliber of tsk, and I really hope for the health of their own taste buds they come to their senses and give the well deserving folks a substantial cut of their caloric budget. In short, just eat the fine fuckin food already. read more

We enjoyed our dinner at TSK. You will need to make a reservation to get a spot well in advance. Get there early if you want to enjoy the rib eye in smaller ounce quantities, it is WELL worth it! The raviolo is also spectacular. read more

Fan-freaking-tastic! My partner and I had made plans to try out Revolving Door which is now closed, but when we saw the Facebook/menu for TSK we knew we had to try it out anyway. We expected a lot of kinks in service and dining during this transitional time and are pleased to report that the transition appears to be going seamlessly. TBH I am not really sure what all we ordered, but everything was fantastic. The menu had so many other delicious-sounding items that we had a really hard time not over-ordering. Everything was fresh and delicious and well-prepared with flavors in total balance. We really enjoyed the open kitchen where we could see the action and partner-in-crime had an excellent cocktail. We can't wait to come back! read more

TSK is open again, and its pretty fantastic. They've taken over a spot a little closer on Thames, the former Revolving Door, and are back to doing great things. There's a small bar in the window, and a longer one right in front of the action, open kitchen dining. At first glance, the food looks to be a collection of more refined and crafted dishes, less continental comfort. Gone, at least at the open, are the Chicken & Waffles, Burgers, and Poutine, back are the Simple Greens, Duck (heart) Pastrami, and Oysters. Here's hoping that the Cassoulet makes a return appearance, it really was one of the finest I have ever encountered. We started this meal with an entrée. There is a great selection of starter courses, Crudo, Marrow, spreads and toasts, but a shared plate of pasta struck me in the moment. The Agnolotti did not disappoint. The fresh sheets of pasta surround a core of Ricotta and wilted leaves of Spinach, supple with a firm bite, and accented nicely with a shave of aged Italian cheese and seasoned butttered broth. Entrée number two we ordered a double, two orders of steak please, in this case a sliced section of Sirloin Flap. Reverse sear, as even as it gets on this super tender cut, warm and luscious tender inside. The beef served with a crust of chopped nuts, grilled and pickled artichoke hearts, and round circles of sauce of peanut butter and soy. Deconstructed satay if you will, elevated no doubt. Kudos as well for a wine list with care. Great, not just good, selections by the glass, and a bottle list that fits the breadth of a world of wine on just one page. Easy A. read more

Very fun, and innovative menu. Food taste great. My only complaint is it's kinda hard by looking at the outside signage to figure out the location. read more

We sat at the chef's bar (watch them work!) and had an absolutely delicious meal with creative takes on everything, including the drinks (special call-out to the tall, handsome bartender who served us agave negronis. I promise, his good looks did not influence this review one bit.) First the Caesar salad. Exceptional if odd looking, chopped and mold-formed. A touch of anchovy and a touch of parm and a touch of something else. We finished that off and wanted more. Next, the smoked pork. Again, not what we were expecting. A delightful sweet, smoky, meaty, countered by the cilantro salsa. And finally the seared tuna, which somehow melts in your mouth, with hints of ocean and yuzu. Ok, I'd never heard of yuzu either, it's a Japanese citrus that's all the rage in NYC. Had to have some sangria with all that, just to see the bartender again. read more

This is a very good restaurant and I highly recommend that you give it a try. Our waitress told us that this used to be part of the neighboring restaurant Bouchard and they had a rotating chef concept that didn't work out very well. So if you see the moniker "rotating door" don't be confused like I was. Instead of rotating chefs they have a ever changing menu, so what we ordered may not be here when you come. The menu contained five main dishes three were seafood. For appetizers we had the warm bread (similar to a brioche) with a wonderful seasoned butter and the tomato salad (bacon bits, cucumber, figs and an awesome soft cheese); fresh, seasonal & very tasty. After this we were really looking forward to the main course. I had the striped bass and my wife had the short ribs (see photos) and we ordered the roasted potatoes as a side. The fish had a caramelized onion sauce with cucumber as fennel and the meat was served with a spicy pepper jelly. The fingerling side had a lemon cream aoli at the bottom of the dish that was amazing. A glass of Chardonnay for me and a Pinot noire from the wine list completed a wonderful meal. We didn't order desert however they sounded really good. If you make it to Newport I highly recommend TSK read more

Surprisingly good, local and innovative cuisine. We sat at the bar watching the chef's, and the show and the food was exceptional. Not a bargain evening, but what you get is worth it. Came here for my anniversary after hearing good reviews around town of this place. I knew the meal would be pricey due to downtown newport and and what not. The food was good. I ordered a Caesar salad, ravioli, and steak. However, the portion size was sadly small. I was expecting at least normal portion sizes you would expect around newport/elsewhere. What arrived was far from it. The Caesar salad and ravioli was laughable if you considered sharing them. The drinks were good but same thing with regard to portion. They give you a skinny glass and load it up with ice and charge you $15 per cocktail. The steak was good but I'd rather choose 22 bowens all day long. Bigger portions, same prices, better food. As a newport local I will not be back. read more

My friend and I only came here for dessert but we truly loved our experience. We got to sit at the bar where you can watch the chefs cook, which is always fun. The atmosphere at the restaurant was relaxed, and the music they played was great, we both really enjoyed hanging out there. We shared the Icecream taco, and the donuts, both which were delicious. The taco had a unique savory and sweet combination, and the donuts were light and fluffy. The people that work there were extremely friendly, and made you feel welcome. I would love to come back here next time we are in town for dinner. read more

If you're planning to go during the summer make sure to have a reservation as it gets pretty busy. They have a beautiful indoor and outdoor space that is decorated on point. All the food was delicious and extremely fresh. I came as a group of 6 and we ate outside. We ordered 3 orders of the pea toast! "Vodka drinks" were a huge hit with the girls at the table. All of the entrees were amazing - I ordered the roasted chicken. I also think the menu changes quite a bit. I would definitely recommend for dinner for either date night or with a group of friends. a lovely venue, with indoor and outdoor seating, an agreeable and well-trained staff, and a creative menu. Outdoor seating - covid bro, a neccesity, but they did it up right. The soft-shell crab and pea toast were favorites. read more

We just ate there last night, from outside&menu they look like an innovative kitchen where they mix different flavors But in my personal opinion it did not workout for me We got Oysters; raw oysters you usually eat them with lemon, hot sauce, but they serve it with salt black pepper, I did not even taste oysters Arugula Salad; sauce was cheesy and fatty not refreshing again, you usually expect olive oil lemon kind of dressing Octopus; it was boiled octopus with curry sauce and chickpeas, I expect to octopus to taste refreshing not like some Indian style Chicken; whole chicken, they call it piri piri or something, it was OK Scallops; it was OK nothing extraordinary Price & taste wise I am sure there is better places around Even though I did not taste their Halibut fish and meat they were looking better on plate, you should probably go for safer choices read more

This is a speakeasy type situation apparently, it's easy to miss the location if you're relying on GPS. But my friend and I sat at the bar and let me tell you. It was the BEST meal of out entire trip to Newport! Totally worth the trip a little further away from the prime touristy spots (but still within walking distance). The shishito peppers, the heirloom tomato toast, the raviolo, the warm bread... we couldn't pick a favorite. We loved everyone who worked there. Hope to come back real soon! read more

We were in Rhode Island for 2 nights for a wedding, so we only had 1 chance to have dinner. After going back and forth between TSK and the Mooring, we decided we were in the mood for the more elevated vibe of TSK, and boy were we pleased with our choice. The only negative was the service. It started out great, with a dude getting our drink orders and recommending a delicious Burgundy wine (at $21/glass--whoops), but i think he was sort of covering for our absent waitress. Well she wasn't absent, just absent to us! We would see her going to all the tables around us and just ignoring us. It was very odd. The timing of the meal was also weird, it wasn't until we were almost done did anyone ask us if we wanted another (our 2nd) drink. (We did, of course.) The space is small but adorable. I think the TV playing sports was a bit out of place (and i LOVE sports). Otherwise, the dinner hit it out of the park. The Raviolo is AMAZING and decadent. We split 4 things and everything was perfect and light but filling. Oh, and the bread with butter was to die for! Next time I'm coming and sitting at the bar ("chefs counter") and hopefully will have better service! read more

Four of us had an excellent dinner at TSK on a Sunday night. Our server was friendly and attentive. The raviolo appetizer was decadent and the sauce was perfect for scooping up with our bread. Three of us had the lobster which we all loved. The fourth had the halibut porterhouse, which was an unusual cut and very flavorful. Overall it was an excellent dinner. We've been TSK fans since they were located at their old place on lower Thames, and haven't been back in a few years. Positives: - Service was attentive - Table was ready ahead of our reservation time Negatives: - The menu is much more limited than we remember, and our faves (duck, for one) were absent - Both mains we ordered (fish and pork) were not memorable, and both drinks left something to be desired, especially coming off some great dining experiences elsewhere I'm holding out hope TSK returns to its former self - intimate, excellent meals - but until it does, you may want to try elsewhere. read more
