Comfortable seating, friendly staff, flavorful and well prepared food. My one complaint is that it took a long time to get both food and drinks despite visiting on a Tuesday. I will certainly be back to try more things on the menu, good wine selection as well.

First, I'll round up on the 3.5 that I wanted to give here because of the freshness of ingredients, the quality of the food and the service, even if I didn't enjoy the flavors. Second, I recognize the inherent issue with complaining about the taste of the food and the portions. It's like the old Yogi Berra saying about a restaurant, "Nobody ever goes there anymore. It's way too busy. The food is awful and the portions are small." It's not so much that the food was awful as I didn't enjoy the flavor of my main dish. If you love cheese, you'll probably dig this. I am more of a sauce and protein guy and I'm not a fan of strong cheese tastes so this was just not for me. But let's get back to our regularly scheduled programming already in progress... We came to Ida's because of recommendations from knowledgeable foodies in the area and the reviews in Yelp. It is a nice, comfortable, warm atmosphere. It plays a little older than us. It feels like a place that the yuppies would go after a few rounds of golf with the wives. But it's clean, busy, and clearly a popular place with the elder locals. The ingredients and preparation are top notch. Very fresh, very well plated. High quality throughout every aspect. The pasta is clearly fresh, it rolled incredibly well over the fork and stayed put. Not really Al dente, but definitely delicious. The sauce was fresh and brassy, very tasty. The veal parm on the other hand was not something that I particularly enjoyed on two different fronts. As I said above, I recognize the weirdness of saying you didn't like the taste and the portions were too small, but they can be mutually exclusive opportunities to discuss where things went from a five-star place to a four-star place. The cheese used on the parm was a little overpowering and not something that I particularly enjoyed. You lose the taste of the other components underneath the cheese. If you're a cheese lover, you may think this is the best parm dish ever. I am not one of those people. If you do love the taste, however, you may be disappointed with the portions of protein, as the veal was hard to find sometimes both due to how thinly pounded down it was and how small the cutlets were. It amounted to about four bites overall for $28. And while the quality was excellent, the value was not necessarily there overall. We got great service from our server. She was helpful, friendly how I answered questions and made sure that we had things the way that we wanted them prepared. There were moments when I felt a little rushed because she kept clearing plates that didn't need to be cleared, but at the same time when we hung around a little bit we didn't feel like we were under pressure to get out and turn the table over. Overall this is a place you should definitely try because your palette may be different than mine in regard to the one dish I tried. It's a nice, busy atmosphere with good service, nice people, excellent ingredients and preparation. Some people will find some fault with the cost/value equation there in terms of portion size, but you also have to take into account the very high quality of the food and ingredients you're getting. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Ordered takeout tonight for the first time because I was craving Meatballs. Called and was disappointed that they were already out two hours after opening on a Friday night. Went with the Chicken Parmigiana. When I tell you I thought they gave me another persons leftovers! For $28 they should at least put some food in the bowl. Side note: the food was good!

Here again from Las Vegas on 10/6/2023 and was excellent as usual. Had eggplant Parmesan and the Greek salad and then we took a slice of 5 layer warm chocolate cake back to our hotel. We were fulfilled once again. See you next year!

A great dining experience for dinner on my first trip. I already know that I want to return and dine here again to try other items from their menu. Parking is in a small lot along a busy street. Reservations were not required and we were able to get in and seated with no wait. Seating can be in close proximity to others. So if you're not ready to be all up close and personal in a you may want to opt for to go dining. When weather allows, there is a very small area designated as outdoor dining. Our host was gracious and candid in her feedback on suggestions when ordering. The owner came around and checked on diners and was clearly making himself useful during a time when eateries are experiencing personnel shortages. The food didn't take a long time to come out. Even though I ordered a salad, it was delicious and fresh. I look forward to dining here again and would suggest others try their food too.

We just had another fabulous dinner at Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant--our second time dining here…read moresince last fall, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

We were a party of seven, including three kids, and didn't even need a separate kids' menu--the options worked perfectly for everyone. The only drawback was the reservation experience. When we called ahead, we were told they were fully booked, yet when we walked in, there were multiple empty tables and we were seated promptly. That part was a bit odd.

Sandy was our amazing server, provided great recommendations and very attentive to her respective tables. Cocktails were great, antipasto was a great start not too much to leave room for the main and desert! The focaccia was light and flavorful as well. Had the rigatoni bolognese which was prepared perfectly and had great flavor. Nearly licked the plate clean! Saved a little room for desert with both cakes being tasty and washed down with an espresso martini. Lovely place to have a date night or night out with friends!

She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. The bread was nothing special but solid and the high quality olive oil made up for it. For my main I got the chicken milanese and it was divine. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

We liked the sauce but the texture of the shrimp seemed off it's a bit crunchy. Our server recommended the fish and it was good. Service: 5 stars Our server was nice and welcoming. We started off with drinks --gin dirty martini and a classic old fashion, both were perfectly made and crisp. Food: Appetizer-warm bread with butter was a nice starter. However I wish we got the escargot with bone marrow as we watched it being made it looked and smelled delicious. Entrees- we split a 27 oz ribeye and the scallops. The steak was a beautiful cut of meat, well marbled, cooked to perfection and seared so nicely. It was sooo tasty and seared with Malden salt. We are pretty snobby when it comes to steak and this was probably the best steak I've ever had out at a restaurant. The scallops similarly were cooked and seared perfectly and seasoned correctly. Laid on a bed of watercress and potato fondant it was the perfect delicate bite and contrasted nicely with the steak. We got the side of brussel sprouts with peanut Rayu which was a beautiful flavor bomb. I can't say enough about the food. Every single thing we ordered was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I find that to be a rarity in today's restaurant scene. I could not recommend this place more. Our experience completely redeemed the place on those concerns: every bite of food we had was _delicious_ and prepared in a masterly way. And the noise . . . well, it just wasn't even remarkable. Okay, but the service - friendly and . . . seemingly caring . . . but - I don't know, not always on top of things? Some things were instantly noted and addressed, others - well, there were big gaps of time between check-ins . . . and it wasn't an especially busy time. Also a couple reasonably major life events that had been noted when making the reservation were not even remarked upon: it was just sort of, "Here's your supper!" We'd certainly go back - the folks in the kitchen are fantastic and I want more of what they make - heck, I'd go back today. The folks out front . . . well, it wasn't an "A-Team" experience, although it wasn't unpleasant or anything.
