Some of the best food in Jamestown! I love to cook, and I cook A LOT. Angel's is an angel on those nights I am exhausted or just burnt out and don't want to make dinner. My husband and I order takeout from them a few times a month, and would definitely order a lot more often if they were open 7 days a week. My favorite hands down is the Caesar Salad with salmon. Salmon always cooked perfectly with a crispy crust, dressing (on the side) is creamy and delicious. House made croutons add the perfect crunch. Portions are so generous, I have plenty for lunch the next day. My husband usually orders either the chicken milanese, chicken marsala or chicken piccata and all of them are yummy as well. Quirky and quaint, quiet little spot right on Narragansett Ave. The menu is full of simple preparations of home kitchen favorites, tater tots, pasta bolognese, seared salmon, steak frites, I'm sure you get the idea. The best bit, other than the service with a little bit of sass, is that these dishes are done with a convincing homemade touch. I was at a friend's house and didn't eat dinner and found this place on Google! What a find! I ordered shrimp tacos and loaded tots! You don't see a picture because inhaled my entire meal. It was so good! (Gotta try the Andes candy mint choc cake too) The portions are so good! They're in Jamestown so if you're in the area stop in. John, the preparer, was nice and the hostess was so pleasant (I didn't catch her name so I'll call her N. Prov) The tacos have a kick to them as they should. We've gotten takeout from Angels twice during the Pandemic and it has been fantastic both times. First time was over the summer and we got a lobster roll and chicken parm. Lobster was fresh and plentiful and the chicken parm was super crispy and not greasy at all. Last night we picked up a special salad with all kinds of goodness in it like brussels sprouts, bacon, apple, goat cheese etc. IT was fresh and delicious! We also got asparagus wrapped in puff pastry appetizer along with mac and cheese balls- both fantastic. I think their menu is only on Facebook which is really weird and they should def make it available on their website because some people don't have facebook! read more

We got takeout and ate in our car by the pier. There's very little contact required to do this. Cool feature when I called to order was they texted me the specials. We loved the shrimp tacos - so fresh and tasty. We had a lobster roll with truffle fries which was also good. I personally like mine simple and they add onion and celery. And we really liked the seasoning on the street corn but the corn seemed precooked - I was looking for the kernels to pop in my mouth. We will definitely go back. The prices were so affordable and there is a lovely outdoor area for the local eateries to share where Narragansett cafe serves adult beverages. Beavertail state park was our reason for going to Jamestown. It was nice to see the eateries are doing what they can to thrive. I was in Jamestown for a week in February 2021, and picked up dinner twice here because it was so good on the first night I arrived when I was looking to grab takeout. The restaurant is not seating people indoors right now, but facebook was up-to-date with specials and the menu. I went inside and everyone working there was pleasant and friendly. They were also helpful when I asked questions on the phone to try to figure out what to order. My Autumn Salad was AMAZING!!! It was a bit pricey at $18.95, or so I thought initially, but it was so heavy and full that it ended up being dinner that night and lunch the next day! So, for two meals $19 isn't bad at all! I loved it and almost wish I ordered it again while I was there. On my last snowy night in Jamestown I ordered the teriyaki salmon here. I asked for it medium rare and it was on the less cooked side for me, which was awesome, but it was a little salty. Now, while I say that, it's my own fault. There was nothing wrong with this salmon at all, I know that teriyaki sauce is always salty so I got what I asked for. Due to it being off season and a pandemic, not everything was in stock but I was perfectly happy to get the roasted potatoes on the side since they were out of rice that was supposed to come with it. I'd definitely return here when in the area, to try more of their dishes! The restaurant was cute and looked very clean, and I'd love to eat there someday when indoor dining is an option again! We ordered our first feast last night from Angels. Several appetizers, three entrees and desserts. All was fantastic: summer risotto with chicken was fabulous as was the grilled salmon and the Tuscan chicken. The food could not have been better, totally delicious and enjoyed by all. The chef is terrific and the food is some of the best you will find. Always made to order and made with fresh ingredients. Seriously cannot figure out where these stellar reviews are coming from. Went for dinner the other night and left extremely disappointed. All of the people in the restaurant were shoved into the back corner leaving no room between the other patrons. It got very cold at times inside with the forced heat. The Brussel sprout appetizer could have been cooked longer. They tasted as if they were heated up for a few minutes and then drizzled with oil. I couldn't cut it with a knife. For my dinner I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. Was not expecting to have a plate of soup with shrimp and some pasta( it was all sauce). The sauce didn't have garlic or lemon, the two ingredients you use to make Shrimp Scampi. I tasted a lot of cheese and maybe some butter mixed with capers. The food itself was edible but nothing like I hoped for. We were all trying to figure out how this place is listed as an Italian restaurant. This felt like one of those places where they couldn't decide what to specialize in so we will just put some choices on a chalk board until we figure out how cook something right. This place should reconsider half of the menu items and start from scratch. Pretty sure vegetables were frozen and Margarita Pizza does not have cherry tomatoes on it! read more

My husband, who doesn't really like lobster, was happy to finish mine. We also ordered the scallops piccata. There was no piccata. Walked by this place and it was empty on a Saturday at 7:30. Tried to go to the "busy place", no dice an hour and a half wait. Walked back up the street and took a second look, what the heck, why not? Menu looked good, not too many choices but enough, wait staff claimed to be new, that's ok it's only us 4 at that point. No air conditioning but windows and fans. So we sat down, man am I glad we did. Super goodsure it's basically a new restaurant, but we all start somewhere. Had 2 appetizers, Buffalo mozzarella with some warmed tomatoes, and polenta fries and marinara sauce. Both good. The main courses, broiled salmon over Cesar salad, tuna tartare appetizer, chicken Milanese, Bolognese over pasta. All good and all worth having. A bottle of rose and dells watermelon ices, and a gratis warm bread pudding a la mode really cooled down a hot summer day. Thanks I'll be back to put up that last star. read more

Amazing food- reasonable prices given the current cost of everything. Salmon Caesar was spot on, the kids cheese pizza was ample in size. The glazed ribs were spectacular and we actually turned into a hungry pack of wolves at the end scrounging over the bones for every last bit of meat. Brussels sprouts were great and tasty. read more

Was highly recommended as a dive/diner type of place with delicious food. Well, I can say they have the "dive" part right but I didn't feel that was the case regarding the food. Found the food to be under seasoned and somewhat flavorless. No menu mind you, you have to view the menu on Facebook which is weird seeing they have a beautiful chalkboard with no writing (menu) on it. We sat in the restaurant with lots of open tables, the waiter was friendly but he was turning everyone away saying "those tables had been reserved", meanwhile they close at 10:00 and it was only 8:00, no table was ever sat from that point forward. If I was the owner of this place, I'd fire that waiter as he's costing that place a lot of money, focus a little on the decor/non-working Christmas lights they're using for decorations, meanwhile rehire and re-train the waitstaff to help them understand no customers mean no money in everyone's pockets. Place has a lot of potential just needs some love all around. I give them three stars solely based on the potential and location. read more

We had trouble figuring out the hours when they first opened, but went for a meal Valentine's Day weekend and were totally blown away. Unbelievably good butternut squash ravioli with Gorgonzola and cinnamon. Waffle tots were creative and delicious. For anyone saying that the patrons are "crammed in" it is a very small place, similar to many places in Newport without the high prices. We waited about 5 minutes for a table at peak time and the waitress was very attentive and happy to make substitutions. I hope they expand because we will absolutely be going back! read more
