We went here for the first time to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had heard good things from friends, so we gave it a try. We were seated at a nice, roomy table. The internal space was well laid out, but a little stark. Our server was very nice and explained the menu well. The menu has a variety of appetizers, pasta, and entrees. There were several GF, vegetarian, and vegan options. We started with some cocktails, which were well-made and well-balanced in terms of strength and flavor. We ordered a few appetizers to start, including the bread rolls, pork belly, and the homemade chips and dips. Everything was wonderful. We followed up with the tenderloin steak, the special hamburger, halibut with sweet potatoes, the salmon, and the mussel stew. My mussel stew was prepared well. The mussels were fresh, and the stew contained other fish as well. The sauce was light and creamy. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. We skipped dessert since we had a cake waiting at home to continue the celebration. However, the restaurant gave my wife a bag of their cookies as a present. It was a nice touch. There were two types, including triple ginger and double chocolate. They were excellent. I would definitely try Our Table. I think you will enjoy it. read more

This was our first visit to this restaurant. What a wonderful experience. Marla and Mark are the owners and they put on a great dining experience. The space was quite nice. The version of Oysters Rock with a lemon back note was yummy. The pork belly appetizer was exceptionally tender and our entree's were even better. I had the bistro steak and my wife had the polenta with mushrooms. Her dish had deep flavors and a great use of corn in the dish. Deserts were equally impressive as Marla was a pastry chef. Hard to believe that i'm the first yelp elite to come to this restaurant. On a rainy night we made our way to Jamestown. They are in the down town area right about where the fire station is. Easy to find. They have a big parking area which is a plus. The hostess quickly sat us down. The dining room is modern yet has a western feel to it. They also have a dedicated bar area as well. Our waitress took our order and everything was pretty smooth. Had the draft on tap. Kitten and caboodle. It was a very smooth tasting beer. My wife loved it. They have many types of canned beer, draft, and a good selection of other libations... For the appetizer we ordered the pork belly. It was really solid. It's perfectly crispy. As a Korean I seriously love me some pork belly. The three sauces were great. I would save the sauces to use for other parts of the meal. I had the shrimp and grits. While grits is normally not my jam I loved the combination of the shrimp and the sausage. Wife had the burger which she had absolutely no complaints. My older kid had the Flatbread which she demolished. My younger kid had the tomato soup. While the soup was good it was the biscuit that came with it that blew me away. It was very light for a biscuit and full of flavor. I would totally order the biscuit appetizer. For dessert we ordered the strawberry rhubarb and took some apple cinnamon donuts to go. The rhubarb was really well balanced. Sweet and tart. The ice cream evened everything out. The apple cinnamon donuts are awesome. I'm munching on them while writing this review. Delicious food! It was our second time trying it and we were very impressed. The first time I had the poke bowl which was amazing and this time we shared the falafel gyro with truffle fries, mac and cheese, tomato soup, and apple pear crisp for dessert. We came in from Barrington to try out the restaurant, described to us as the "food of a really nice restaurant with the feel of a casual spot" and that's a perfect description. The food was creative and delicious! I had the salmon with Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the flavors were rich, but light. The salted caramel creme brûlée was also killer! My wife had a lamb burger -- not something she typically orders, but she said it was amazing. She shared a brownie something dessert with one of our friends and it gave that rave reviews, too. And to top it off, the service was friendly, professional and even though we chatted with our friends for ages, we never felt like we were overstaying our welcome. Had high hopes for this dinner out but we were disappointed with the selections available as well as our choices. It's a lovely space and fabulous service but especially my Cobb salad with tuna was quite a disappointment. It seemed like the tuna was precooked and just slightly warmed when placed on the salad. Just not fresh. My husband had the chicken on his salad and it was steaming and actually seemed to be freshly cooked. The salad was heavy with cold green beans a bit less would have been more balanced. Perhaps if the beans were marinated that also may have helped, lots of olives present and they were yummy. Dessert looked good on the menu but we skipped it. Overall would not return. read more

Probably one of the best experiences in a restaurant we have had in years. The quality was excellent. The service from Hootie was top notch. I had the short rib and celery root purée was a 10. My wife had the lamb burger which was unbelievable. The dessert was the almond bread pudding with their own ice cream was by far the best bread pudding I have ever had. If I could give Our Table 100 stars, I would. Everything from the ambiance to the staff to the food was more than incredible. I had the lamb burger (topped with pickled onions, goat cheese, and chimichurri) and my husband had the smoky paprika shrimp. The "kid's meal Mac and cheese" was the best Mac and cheese we have had in years, and we all fought over it! The owner, Marla, even brought out a silicone plate for our toddler to use. They go above and beyond here, so definitely make time to try it! read more

The restaurant has a great style - rustic, cute layout, window seating, etc. It's all indoors. We also had a good experience with service. Where this restaurant lacked was with the food taste. The menu and food presentation was great, but we just didn't notice much flavor to any of the dishes we got. To be fair, we did get only starters (flatbread, fried chicken sliders, pork belly) and Mac and cheese, so we don't know how any of the entrees were. But we just didn't notice much seasoning to any of the dishes; even the bacon tasted a bit bland rather than salty. Would be interested to come here again, maybe on a different day and try some entrees, but we just weren't too impressed for now. There is potential though! read more

This restaurant owns and runs by husband and wife (Marc and Marla). Chef Marc-on the savory and chef Marla-on the sweet. The restaurant atmosphere was layback. We had dinner here on Friday and the foods were delicious and amazing. We decided to come back again and so we did. We had different dishes and they were sooooo yummy . Friday dinner as follows! Appetizers- Beer braised pork belly crispy bites with SC BBQ and roasted corn and poblano chowder Dinner - grilled NY strip loin and salmon kale and quinoa bowl Desserts-cranberry pie with ginger ice cream and caramel crème brûlée Saturday night dinner as follows Appetizers- beer braised pork belly crispy with maple balsamic glaze, butternut squash soup and roasted corn and poblano chowder Dinner - special of the night was braised pork belly sliced over cheesy grits served with roasted cherry tomatoes and steamed broccoli Steam clams Dessert- the best carrot cake we ever had. As a former server and the GM of a restaurant in Beverly Hills, there are many things I will forgive when it comes to service. We ate here on the 4th of July so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt that a bunch of staff called out for the holiday. There were two servers and one woman who was clearly the manager. I witnessed an almost disaster because they weren't calling corners and almost collided with food. We had a very hungry and tired kid with us and he watched his pasta sit under the heat lamps while they finished our plates. I don't care what the restaurant policy is, nobody is going to complain if the plates don't all come at the same time when the kid gets theirs first...it was butter pasta. Bring it out. But it all got a pass, because I get it. It's a holiday, you are in the weeds, and the manager is not a server but she did her best. What I don't get is walking in at 7:30 and being told they're completely booked for the night. We looked on Open Table and there was a 2-top opening in 10 minutes and a 4 top in 30. So we reserved the 4 top and walked around. By the time we sat down there were five, then seven 2-tops open and two 4-tops. When we left at 9:10, the restaurant was empty. If I knew my employees were turning people away, I wouldn't be happy. Finally, the food. My salad was good, but it was $24 and to add protein another $10-12...not worth it at all. Our 1st choice for eating dinner here in Jamestown is always Our Table. Every item on their menu is delicious, from appetizers to dessert. You must try the home made biscuits with warm butter before dinner. All desserts and baked goods are  made in-house by Marla. Marla and her husband Mark are the owners. Mark is the head chef and you'll see him in the open kitchen, Marla is out front, most likely greeting you at the door or checking in on you while she helps her staff give you excellent service. I usually get the simply grilled salmon. Absolutely cooked to perfection, moist and flavorful. Marla makes a peanut butter pie covered in chocolate ganache, If I'm too full to eat right after dinner, I'll take one to go for home! This is a "neighborhood gem". read more

I did takeout, so service and ambience are besides the point. The food was prepared within 1/2 hour, so that's pretty speedy. However, I think that came at some cost to the quality of the prepared items. The dessert was great, pumpkin cheesecake. The biscuits were good, too. Flaky like biscuits should be, but perhaps too small for the price (2-3" square, and two biscuits, for $6). I think they could be larger. The real problem was the entrees. The salmon was decent enough and a good sized portion, but the citrus chicken was very very dry, very overcooked, and no sauce. The citrus flavor was barely discernible. The side brussel sprouts, and the additional green beans we ordered, might as well have been raw, they were so undercooked. I wanted to like this place, as there are few choices for reasonably fine dining in Jamestown. But I doubt I'll give it a second chance. There was nothing special about the prices. read more

I'm giving this restaurant five stars because the food is good. I think that the portions are a little small I guess depending on what you order my friend had the special and it looked pretty hearty I had some thing else and I thought it was really tiny for $23 so the prices are OK a little high. I know that it's farm to table and everything is fresh but my tomato wasn't even ripe I'm not a big fan of a half a glass of wine for $15 but I guess that's just the way things are going these days. read more

I ordered the poké bowl from Our Table and I'm hoping I just caught them on a bad night but it was just awful. The quinoa and rice were incredibly dry, the sauce was a strange pairing and there was way too much of it. I was crunching on sopping rice. Plus the flavors of everything on top did not mesh well with the sauce. At $20 for the portion you get, it is most definitely not worth it. I see plenty of good reviews but that bowl alone is enough for me to never go back. Given I ordered before their dinner rush I have no ambiance to report on. Interior was decorated well though. My first time visiting, and I really enjoyed my meal and experience! I appreciate that it was a nice walk away from the more crowded parts of central 'downtown' Jamestown. The space is clean and open yet cozy and welcoming. Our waitress Hootie was wonderful - we went with all of her recommendations and were not disappointed. She was also really helpful in accommodating a food request. My advice is - even if you are full, order dessert from their menu of housemade options anyway. Food was actually fine and a good variety of options, but the service was poor and with fairly intense pressure to turn the table. No sooner did you finish a bite and they were picking up your plate. They cleared drinks that were still 20-25% full. I guess they did not like we brought our nephews (1 & 3), but the children were being quiet and well behaved. I get it when the kids are loud and messy, but really this was just poor customer service. The odd thing is Jamestown is a small and incredibly tight knit community. Most businesses on the island come to know and love your kids. From my perspective, this place is not so fantastic they can afford to turn their nose up on customers. They will have to change as they just don't fit in this beautiful town. Try J22 or Beech instead. read more

A group of 5 friends had dinner at Our Table on a Saturday evening. We sat in the cozy outdoor space, as it was a cool evening. Our server was Jess, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We went with several of her suggestions both in food and wine. Our group started with appetizers; beer-braised pork belly bites, roasted carrots, soup, and caesar-style wedge. All were yummy, my favorite being the caesar style wedge which had a surprise of a nut granola topping! Our mains ranged from a Nicoise salad with seared tuna, grilled short rib and brisket blend burger and a grilled ribeye, which was great for sharing. All tasty and flavorful. Of course we indulged in a couple desserts, salted caramel creme brulee with a crispy browned sugar crust and a fantastic carrot cake made with 4 layers!! We had a fantastic time, there is parking and if you are up for a walk after dinner, the water is just a few blocks away. Our group decided to try this establishment based on other reviews. Those reviews must have been for a restaurant with the same name located somewhere other than Jamestown, RI. The food was mediocre at best and the chocolate desert cake was so dry it was not edible. The waitress was attentive, but this was nullified by rudeness of the woman who apparently owns the business. The only thing that saved the night was the great group of people I was with. I'm composing this review in the hopes that others can avoid our fate and this restaurant. Quite good - as opposed to BEECH which doesn't seem to care very much if the hostess is any indication. Good burger. Great POBLANO soup. Oysters tiny local but fair. Good staff. Only complaint is french fries out if a bag and way too much salt and bad oil. Fries not that hard to fix? But in Jamestown probably among the best.
