They refused to remake the paint we wanted and we got strong armed into purchasing the mistake paint. Looking back, we should have refused it. It looks like they need to revamp their customer service and/or policies. It's easy to give great customer service when all things align, but the true colors of a business really shine through when a problem is revealed. I really wish they would have risen to the occasion. I was selecting paint colors and ready to order a gallon when I heard a man who works there say in a loud voice, homophobic slurs. He said the f word, and many other offensive comments, describing a person. It was so beyond offensive, that I went to the register and told the two men and the woman who were behind the counter, who worked there. I let them know how offensive it was what was being said, let alone during business hours while a customer was in the store and that I would not be giving them my business. I will not be returning to this store again after this experience.

I've returned a few things like a bed frame for a twin bed (around $130, unused and box was unopened which made the return easier), and some reflective heat shields for insulation and weatherizing homes that I returned (around $50, unused so the return was easier). There were a few items I wanted to return but didn't or it was too late. A $20 soldering iron (just felt like I should eat the mistake on the $20 soldering iron instead of making Home Depot eat it) and a $99 camping rocking chair that I don't like (figured out I didn't like it after the return window closed). But all in all, Home Depot has great prices. They offer a Veteran's discount which is huge, because very few places offer that. And they have good products. And the return process is one of the best.

I was looking at key chains, while the key was being cut, & selected an S-Biner keyring. Sarah handed me a small bag, I put it in the same hand as the S-Biner & went to pay. I prefer to pay with cash & chose the self checkout. I scanned the key, put it in the bag, walked, almost out of the store & realized that aI had not scanned the keyring. I immediately went back. Sonny, immediately came to my assistance, I"I believe in Karma, I did not knowingly mean to not scan this, I need to pay for it." The scanner wasn't working for cash, because there were bills in the receptacle, the 11 dollars from my previous purchase...I previously picked up the change, but not the bills, from my $20.00 He gave me my change, it was an honest exchange! #Karma

Just picked my unit up for the fourth(and last) time this year. Each time they failed to address the problem I stated upon drop off, but managing, each time, to sell me a part that I don't need. This time they tried to replace the exact part they did the previous time. They should write it down to keep their lie straight next time. Well The Benefit of my doubt ran out today. Seems small town work/business ethic doesn't mean much anymore. From now on I'll take my mosquito magnet needs online from now on, and my hardware store needs to one of the big stores a town over. Oh, and I called the store as soon as I got home and confirmed nothing was fixed. The kid who answered said someone would call me back in a few minutes. Nothing.
