Awesome pool supply store with everything you could possibly need. I recently purchased a hot tub for my yard and knew that chemical maintenance was an important component to its ownership. Problem was, I had absolutely no clue on what to buy, nor did I feel confident enough to maintain them on my own. I'm glad to have shopped at Leslie's rather than hire an outside company to do the job. This store is located in a newer shopping mall with ample parking. It's only about a mile from my home which is convenient. Walking in was daunting as I felt like a true amateur, but salesperson Morgan truly put my mind at ease. I let her know my situation and she steered me in the direction of a convenient all-in-one maintenance kit. Not only that, but she wrote down exactly which chemicals to apply, how much of each and when. Morgan made me feel valued and didn't dismiss me for my lack of knowledge which I really appreciated. She also informed me of their free app where I could tally up my purchases and earn coupons/discounts. You better believe I downloaded it right then and there! Sam at the Chico Store is as solid as they come! In been there in three separate occasions recently and was impressed each time. One day I was in a hurry, Sam was able to get me in and out in under 3 minutes. Another day there were 5 customers and only one Sam. He efficiently and effectively got reach customer what they needed. This last visit, the store didn't have exactly what I needed, but he pointed me in the right direction. Leslie's is so lucky to have such a hardworking, knowledgeable and effective employee. Will definitely be using Leslie's for my future spa and pool needs! read more

Today I went into the Chico Leslie's Pool supply with a problem with my pool sweep. The girl who helped me barley gave me the time of day. I ask if they would be able to look at the sweep today and they said they had one in front of me. That was about 10 am this morning. I called at 4 pm and they said they did not get to it. I then stated I will call someone else to see if they can look at it today. I called Holiday Pools in Chico and they said they would be able to look at it today. I pick up the sweep from Leslie's and they did not even apologize. Holiday Pools was glad to look at it and even make the repair while I waited. The personnel at Holiday Pools were very helpful and friendly. To top it off there was no charge. Recommendation is not to shop at Leslie's Pools in Chico. Get great service from the personnel at Holiday Pools. read more

My last experience at Leslie's was a WOW factor. I ordered a sand filter with George over the phone. I was told it would be in on June 28th. It did not show up. It also did not show up on the 29th so George drove to Rocklin himself and picked up the filter for me. He went way beyond my expectation. They have always been extremely friendly. You may have a little longer wait to speak with an associate because they are giving full attention to other customers but you will get that same service when it is your turn. They have helped me with many of my pool problems and I highly recommend them to be the place you turn for your pool needs. read more

I came into Leslie's with an issue with my pool filter. I explained the problem to Morgan and she explained that the reason I was seeing DE in my pool was most likely caused by one of the filter grids possibly having a hole. She also said I could bring the filters in for her to inspect them, and so I did. Sure enough there were THREE grids that had tears the size of a quarter. We replaced them and have not had a problem yet. read more

With quite a few weeks of swimming weather left, we headed to Leslie's for some pool toys. We found a couple of things, but what we really wanted was the large blow up toy displayed in the store. We needed help finding it, so we waited for the only gal working at that time. I knew we'd be in for a treat as I observed her being brusque with the elderly lady she was testing pool water for. The surly employee told me they haven't had that item in for quite awhile and wouldn't be getting any more, either. She checked the warehouse and confirmed. We purchased our other items and left. At home, I went onto the Leslie's website and found the item for sale. Their website has the item? But not the store? I ended up buying the same pool toy on amazon for $10 cheaper and free shipping. And won't bother stopping by Leslie's any longer. My recommendation to brick and mortar businesses who aren't doing as well as you'd like: 1. Customer service. I don't want to drive around town to have you be anything less than helpful and friendly when I walk in. 2. If you're not selling it, take down your display. 3. If you are selling it, make it as easy as possible for me to get the item I want...ie: "I can order it and have it here in a few days or have it shipped directly to you." read more

Frank is always there to help. They have great customer service. We had so many problems keeping our pool at our apartment complex from turning green. Frank set us up with a new pump and liquid chlorine feeder and we haven't had a problem since. Also, the new pump paid for itself after a year in energy savings! read more

Seemed like a fairly good range of products but the customer service was terrible. Went in on a Sunday afternoon to look for a new pool pump. Was helped by Jorge who seemed extremely inconvenienced by our being there. He huffed at my two year old for not moving out of his way fast enough. Then took my husband to pool pumps for large pools, even after learning our pool was the smaller 10ft Intex type. My husband said that was more than we needed and Jorge gave us an impatient "well I don't know" shrug and sent us to Walmart. No apologies or a thank you for coming in. read more

My husband's grandfather was looking for a new pool cleaner. He looked at several ones and decided he liked the dolphin one the best, but thought that it was too expensive and wanted to look online to try and find it cheaper. When asking the sales associate about this, they told him that they can't be purchased online and only Leslie's carries them. He told me about this and a quick search online found not only other places that carried the same model, but also for a lot less money too! This sort of lie to force someone into a sale isn't the type of place I will ever go to. read more

I have been a customer at Leslie's in Chico for a little over a year now. I use to have a pool service take care of my pool but decided to take care of it myself to cut costs. The employees at Leslie's had me start bringing in water samples for them to test every couple weeks, and I haven't had any issues yet with my water. I also brought in my Polaris pool cleaner for a tune-up and they were very timely at getting it repaired. They didn't charge for the repair which surprised me..
