It turns out, we both did! I appreciated the welcoming employees, but they also didn't hover. We were able to stroll the property, and admire all of the beautiful plants. It was really peaceful. Although I didn't buy anything, I spotted a few things in the gift shop that will likely bring me back. I've heard that they host classes - wreath making, flower arrangements, etc. - and I would definitely sign up for something like that!

The lady was so rude and told me if I wanted something cheap I should go to Safeway which I don't have a car to go to. I was attempting to buy local and was willing to buy $25 worth of flowers to litter the house. She made me feel so unwelcome and told me 'I don't know how to help you'. I started with telling her about my Grandma being sick, I can't believe someone would be so rude after that. I feel a hundred times worse than I did before and it made this hard time so much more painful. I don't know how this place will stay open if they treat their customers like this. Great place for buying seeds and for getting info on planting…read more The place is very small but they do a great job of keeping a great variety of seeds on hand. (Check out their website both for ordering online and for more information on the benefits of "sustainable" seeds.) They also sell home grown eggs; they even have a club you can join which guarantees you a certain number of eggs a month. I didn't get any of the eggs because we grow our own but from our conversation they clearly know chickens and eggs. They have great specials on seeds too; they have 99 varieties for $.99...so that is pretty cool. Also, talk to them about their grains. Most place don't carry grains but they have a great selection and can give you good advice on when and where to plant them and the best way to harvest them.
