They had lots of Arctostaphylos and Ceanothus, many penstemons, seedlings of native trees, grasses, and perennials. The nursery person was very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to make some really good recommendations that showed she understands the challenges of our climate and a love of the plants. They are currently moving to a new location north of Chico at Meridian.

The lady was so rude and told me if I wanted something cheap I should go to Safeway which I don't have a car to go to. I was attempting to buy local and was willing to buy $25 worth of flowers to litter the house. She made me feel so unwelcome and told me 'I don't know how to help you'. I started with telling her about my Grandma being sick, I can't believe someone would be so rude after that. I feel a hundred times worse than I did before and it made this hard time so much more painful. I don't know how this place will stay open if they treat their customers like this. Horrible service!!!

I recommend them for everything! I get my dog food, her favorite shampoo/condition, her treats, bird feeder seeds, lady bugs, soil fertilizer and every now and then, we pet some baby chicks. When I bring my dog in, she picks out her treats right out of the box. She loves this place!

This guy showed up around the time we discussed. I showed him the leaking sprinkler valves and he…read moredidn't seem like it would be a problem. This was at 2pm. At 230 he left to get parts. He didn't get back until 530 and still didn't have the parts needed. He left the water off this whole time. When he said he was done he showed me the valve leaking still and upon further inspection the next day, the 2 other valves were also leaking now. When I asked how much I owed him, he said let's just say 220.00! He told me he was charging me for his time running around looking for the valve parts. He also mentioned he went home for lunch for part of that time. Needless to say I didn't pay this guy 220.00. Be careful when doing business with this company. I could see him taking advantage of people for jobs that never were completed. I chose this company because of the yelp reviews but hopefully this will make people at least be careful.

I contacted Adrian via text because it was Memorial Day (Monday) and I wasn't sure if he was…read moreworking that day. Adrian was prompt in replying to my text, although he was on vacation, and said that he would contact me as soon as he returned. I had two irrigation valves that were not working correctly. Upon returning from his vacation, Adrian set up a time to come and repair my valves. One of the repaired valves had a leak that wasn't evident until the next morning. I texted Adrian about the issue, and he dealt with it that day. Adrian was great at responding to my texts, being both friendly and professional. He showed up when he said he would. Adrian may be a little more expensive than some ($300.00), but I would gladly pay more to deal with someone prompt and reliable. I would use De Jong in the future.
