I don't know if the business changed hands and has new ownership, but it feels like it. The friendly, helpful pool guy we used to have was replaced by someone who's primary goal was, seemingly, to get in and out of there as quickly as possible. Corners were being cut and the level of service was falling, while the cost kept rising. Many times I wasn't sure that the guy had even come that week - there was no evidence of him having been there. I called the office about it and was told to call the service tech. I did and tried to have a conversation about what seemed to be happening. He immediately got very defensive and refused to speak to me. His boss got on the phone and started arguing with me about how they were actually doing the level of service they promised, despite the obvious reality. This animosity died down eventually and they continued to maintain our pool, and were actually doing a better job. The pool almost always looked pretty good despite the short weekly visits. The prices kept going up though, eventually reaching $160/mo for short, 10-minute weekly visits. They complained about the number of trees surrounding the pool but still managed to be in and out in under 15 minutes every time no matter what. Just this week we found a note on the door saying that Holiday Pools is breaking up with us as of the end of the month. No reason, just "call the owner if you have questions." I'm not going to bother. It's time for us to move on as well. Too bad... a great old Chico business slowly pricing and complaining itself out of existence.

Justin responded within minutes and after speaking briefly on the phone setup an appointment for a tech to come to my home in red bluff two days later. Trent arrived Wednesday morning ready to tackle the problem. He spent an hour patiently troubleshooting all possibilities. He was competent and thorough. He didn't mind me hovering a bit so as to learn what I could while he worked. He took the time check each different component as they kept checking out OK. He could have gave up and tried shotgunning parts I guess but didn't. Eventually, using a pressure manometer he found the incoming gas pressure was too low to initiate firing up (Even though you could smell the gas when it tried to fire up). Walking back to the side of house near the PGE gas meter we found a second shut-off valve (there is a shut-off valve at the heater) that had PARTIALLY gotten turned. Problem solved. After years of ill-feelings from my experience with pool contractors in general it was great to find Executive Pool & Spa. Promptness, knowledge, integrity, courtesy all get an A+ from me.

They serviced my pool on two weeks and they billed me for a month of service. The pool cleaning lady came out and did not even have experience with the equipment, cleaning person told me that my salt balance is off and asked her to are you going to adjust the the machine and she said that she does not know how to work it. I texted Seth and he said he does not all employees know how to adjust it and they all do a different job and not all have experience that is all in text. Then how are they going to keep my salt water adjusted properly. They do not send someone else to do it. Did not answer me till a few days after and said that he is sorry and but he is to busy and was not able to get to me. The future with this company would have been a disaster no experience for the employee with machines and equipment and bad communications. Also after two weeks not happy with service Seth says he is sticking me with the one year contract and trying to force me with 1800.00 dollars. Do not sign contract because they can give you terrible service and try to stick you with contract. He threatened me with the lawyer of suing me instead of trying to make matters better.
