Seriously the WORST experience. Executive pool and spa was sent to me from our home warranty Fidelity (another gem) We pay extra for pool coverage on our 25' above ground pool. Executive scheduled me for the next day, confirmed the appointment via text then never showed up only for me to get a rescheduled notification in my junk email. I left a voice mail and never heard back. So I waited the till the rescheduled appointment. The tech was an hour late, which he did call to inform me. When and his helper showed, I led them to the pool and they immediately referred to my pool as a doughboy (who calls them that past 1995?) and didn't think our warranty covered that. I said it did but he was unsure and snapped a couple pics to send a report to fidelity to "get approval" I immediately call fidelity and was assured our pool was covered. I mean why would we have paid extra for coverage that didn't apply to our equipment? So I waited a few days only to get an email from Executive Pools stating they didn't work on above ground pools and to get in touch with fidelity to contract someone else!? Seriously!? If you didn't work on above ground pools then why would your tech tell me he could fix the leak in my filter, pump and return line? Why didn't he just tell me right then and there, sorry we don't service this type of pools? Why go through the charade of putting in a request for approval if you weren't going to fix it no matter what they said? Just to waste my time? At first I just thought it was an inept tech who was making an excuse to leave asap cause he was running behind but now I understand it's a crap company from the top down. Thanks for nothing. A couple of weeks ago I discovered a yellow stain on my vinyl pool bottom. It covered most of the surface but saw spots of clear blue vinyl. It was ugly. No one seemed to know what the cause or cure was until I called Executive Pool and Spa in desperation since they work on vinyl pools. Justin took my call, I explained the situation and over the phone he diagnosed the issue as a metal iron stain. He told me the products to buy and how to use them. No fee, no, "That will be $80 to come and look." Just a simple solution that I could do myself. WOW! Who does that? We recently bought a house that had been in foreclosure and vacant for sometime. It had a defunct spa and a swimming pool that was a cesspool. We had no idea what to do with them. Doc from Executive Pools came to the rescue! He told us our spa was of good quality and he could probably get it going again. He advised us of work we could do ourselves to keep costs down. Our in ground pool needed a new vinyl liner. Executive Pools is one of the only companies that replace vinyl liners in Redding. We had to wait till the weather cleared for that project. We have had some clear days recently and Doc and his crew were able to replace the liner in one day! After finding my spa heater wouldn't fire up after working great for five years I decided to contact executive pool & spa via message on Yelp on Monday last week. Justin responded within minutes and after speaking briefly on the phone setup an appointment for a tech to come to my home in red bluff two days later. Trent arrived Wednesday morning ready to tackle the problem. He spent an hour patiently troubleshooting all possibilities. He was competent and thorough. He didn't mind me hovering a bit so as to learn what I could while he worked. He took the time check each different component as they kept checking out OK. He could have gave up and tried shotgunning parts I guess but didn't. Eventually, using a pressure manometer he found the incoming gas pressure was too low to initiate firing up (Even though you could smell the gas when it tried to fire up). Walking back to the side of house near the PGE gas meter we found a second shut-off valve (there is a shut-off valve at the heater) that had PARTIALLY gotten turned. Problem solved. After years of ill-feelings from my experience with pool contractors in general it was great to find Executive Pool & Spa. Promptness, knowledge, integrity, courtesy all get an A+ from me. read more
