Funny how this wasn't mentioned by the tech who came out and looked at our pool and explained how he could fix it.
Jaime J.

Seriously the WORST experience. Executive pool and spa was sent to me from our home warranty Fidelity (another gem) We pay extra for pool coverage on our 25' above ground pool. Executive scheduled me for the next day, confirmed the appointment via text then never showed up only for me to get a rescheduled notification in my junk email. I left a voice mail and never heard back. So I waited the till the rescheduled appointment. The tech was an hour late, which he did call to inform me. When and his helper showed, I led them to the pool and they immediately referred to my pool as a doughboy (who calls them that past 1995?) and didn't think our warranty covered that. I said it did but he was unsure and snapped a couple pics to send a report to fidelity to "get approval" I immediately call fidelity and was assured our pool was covered. I mean why would we have paid extra for coverage that didn't apply to our equipment? So I waited a few days only to get an email from Executive Pools stating they didn't work on above ground pools and to get in touch with fidelity to contract someone else!? Seriously!? If you didn't work on above ground pools then why would your tech tell me he could fix the leak in my filter, pump and return line? Why didn't he just tell me right then and there, sorry we don't service this type of pools? Why go through the charade of putting in a request for approval if you weren't going to fix it no matter what they said? Just to waste my time? At first I just thought it was an inept tech who was making an excuse to leave asap cause he was running behind but now I understand it's a crap company from the top down. Thanks for nothing. Meanwhile over a week later and our pools still leaking.

Ask the Community - Executive Pool & Spa

We are looking to have a pool built in - given the service needs of each pool type - what would you recommend having the least amount of maintenance plus longevity?

I would recommend a fiberglass pool. Good for 50+ years low maintenance and less algae growth. Give Palo Cedro Pools a call and ask for Paula. Tell her Justin referred you.

Justin took my call, I explained the situation and over the phone he diagnosed the issue as a metal iron stain.

Originally I called around different places, and almost got completely scared out of the process. On a casual phone call ( elsewhere) I was quoted $20K ,and at the end of the call $18k for another ( lower budget model ) I assumed prices had skyrocketed and perhaps we shouldn't be purchasing anything after all.- Went to SS & B and had a very good experience browsing the large showroom. The Tubs there were starting at below about 6k, and probably averaged to 12k -15k or more? I had MANY choices in my range, and almost too many to choose from. We fell in LOVE with a 'filled' floor model that came with a bunch of add ons and a 5 yr warranty. Free delivery, chemicals , at home demo , and a bunch more. Went back another 2 times to ask millions of questions and finally pulled the trigger. I could not believe it arrived one week later. It all went faster then we expected and we actually had to wait for the electrician appt to happen after delivery. After the electrician filled the tub and left, they came BACK out to show us all the ropes and get us going. All in all, I had changed my mind on the placement ( while it was still empty) ,called several times, stopped by several more, and have been So happy with everyone I've encountered. We have been so in love with the hot tub, and used them for our first drain and fill service after 3 months. The tech was on time and addressed all my new crazy questions and showed me some things I still hadn't learned about. He also was fast and great at what he does, and really likes his job. Upbeat and all nice people ! This is the way to purchase imo. The customer service has been unbeatable and invaluable, everyone there is a pro, and happy to help. Make sure you at LEAST check them out before going anywhere else.

There are some things that anger me greatly about the subcontractors that were there that I've discussed with management and hopefully that's fixed. It's just some of that stuff can be tweaked and fixed before it becomes an issue And I understand they do a shit ton of pools throughout the year, but every customer should be A number one, not just the next customer. And this should carry on through service for the at least the first month of free service that's offered for a new pool. This was making it difficult to keep the pool clear, which makes sense. But I had no idea the pump was shutting off. If he had called me to ask me about this, maybe we could have realized there was a malfunction or something else. And we could have fixed it. But instead, service was cancelled with no warning. And there was multiple weeks in a row without services, prior to informing me he had stop showing up. (I was out of town for 2 weeks, when he decided to stop showing up). So by the time I got his notification that service was cancelled, it was too late. The pool had started to turn green. Really really poor communication. Now I have to pay to have someone else de-green the pool in the middle of pool season. At least now I know the pool pump is broken, and hopefully I can find someone that is willing to fix it, instead of just passive aggressively "blaming" me for turning it off during the week, when that is simply not the case.
