UPDATE: Derick the owner of Spa express called me and apologized for the previous lack of communication from the previous employee who has now been let go. Derrick personally came out to my home and fixed my tub and cleared up the scale. My wife called Spa express as a surprise for me to have our hot tub serviced and cleaned (which I do myself normally) spa express came out and did there thing. When I came home I was surprised that they didn't clean the tub during there service I was slightly disappointed but moving forward .. the next day scale started growing at a accelerated rate. I called them and followed up with an email. Allen answered my email and said he would talk with his boss. No response. I called again 3 months ago and they said they would follow up ... no response. I called again and went over the problem we are having for the third time since the day they serviced our spa. At this point I was told to drain the pool and start scrubbing the scale. If you want a sub par job, poor communication, and a group that doesn't want to make sure their customers are taken care of and satisfied this is your spot. read more

Best quality of life upgrade! We knew exactly what we wanted and couldn't find it anywhere but here. An intimate, round, fiberglass hot tub with a wood surround. Another store, very well rated in Marin tried to tell us how nobody wanted that. As if that's the point. Derek was super easy to work with - helped us get the electricity sorted, and Aaron was super super helpful helping us get all set up and answering any questions we had as we got used to the new hot tub. Every single night we're grateful. If you need a hot tub, this is where to come. We had the steps built separately. read more

We were at wit's end. Airbnb guests were arriving in two days and we started up new hot tub to get it up to temperature. But jets didn't come on and no hot water! We called Derek, who was about to get on a plane but took the call, and he gave us Nate's number to get immediate help. Nate worked with us remotely to assess the problem, then stayed after closing time so we could drive in, get parts, and get a tutorial about what to do. We drove back, still had problems, and he stayed on the phone again till further corrections were made. Success! Jets! Hot water! Happy Airbnb guests! It's one thing to buy a good machine, it's another to get the support you need when you need it. We couldn't recommend Nate and Derek more highly for their competence and kindnesses to us. read more

Spa Express was quick to quote me fair and transparent pricing for Nordic tubs, and quick to get me in the manufacturing queue. They work with an excellent delivery partner and offer a white glove setup/introduction session. I was really impressed at their cost savings over other distributors in the bay area - value pricing and fast turnaround! Now to enjoy my new tub... 21 jets! :) read more

We just got our first Spa here and Derek and Nate were both super helpful and communicative. When our spa was damaged in transit, Derek worked hard to get us a replacement asap. He went above and beyond, which we really appreciated. Thank you Derek!!! read more

Out LA Spa from SpaExpress has run reliably for seven years, prices for tub, accessories and supplies are reasonable. Very occasional service calls, problem always solved (often by phone). This is a friendly, low-pressure and local outfit that's been around for years. read more

We purchased our spa from Derek years ago so he was the first person I reached out to when I discovered a leak. I live about 50 miles away from SpaExpress so he helped me troubleshoot via phone and email. The leak was from the filter housing ! So he walked me through some simple steps to correct it. It didn't work so he scheduled Nathan to come out for evaluation and hopefully correct the problem. Very nice fellow and really knows the innards of a spa! We both felt confident the problem was resolved. Unfortunately it started leaking a few days later. The decision was to replace the housing. Derek ordered it and Nathan came back out to replaced the housing. I really appreciated his efforts! If you have ever looked inside a spa you can see how little space you have to work in. He is very good at what he does!! We let everything settle for a few days and no more leaks!!! Yeah! I missed my spa and Derek made sure I was able to get back in it as quick as possible! Thank you!!! read more

Spa Express - I missed this so much. Thank goodness for Derek and Nathan! - Hot Tub & Pool Near Me - Cotati, California

Great place! Very friendly and costs are good. Delivery a week from today. Can't wait!

Not inexpensive but we have a saying in our house. "We are too poor to be cheap!" I was able to try out a swim spa for the first time in my life. LOVE! The owner, Derek is so nice and really knows His business. He went over and explained everything we ever wanted to know about read more

I looked for more than 2 years for a used hot tub that was in my price range with the features I wanted. I saw a lot of crap out there and visited some showrooms that were not that nice. I found Derek through a craigslist add and told him what I wanted. He had it and heated it up so I could test it (with a view of the eastern hills of Santa Rosa). He was honest, accommodating and the price was right. The tub was exactly what we wanted and better (for us) than my dad's $15k new one that has a nice color fountain, but not strong jets. During the warranty period and beyond he has been really helpful giving advice over the phone and sending a tech way out to where we live. Im really happy with my purchase with Spa Express. read more

It was finally time to retire my hot tub of 27 years. During the 2019 holiday season we started shopping locally, for a replacement. Just after New Years I went to Spa Express however it was closed for the holiday. Derek happened to be there and opened the showroom. He was very knowledgeable and spent a good hour showing me the hot tubs. I made an appointment for the next day and made my decision on my new tub. Spa Express met my expectations with quality, price, accessories and service . The spa was delivered within the next three days. Derek followed up with me after the spa was delivered and has been available for any questions. read more

I would use the words Fabulous, Exceptional or Amazing if I could choose my own, (Spa Express was so far beyond "Great"). I am not one to enjoy shopping for "big ticket" items, a friend had recommended Spa Express, so it was the first place I went. Once I met Christina, there was no reason to go anywhere else. Not knowing anything about Spas, I felt a bit intimidated. Immediately Christina's warmth and kindness made me feel at ease. I had no idea of the cost of hot tubs, yet never felt judged to see if I was a real customer. Christina listened and sensed what would be right for me. Because of her care, she found the perfect tub for me, within my budget. When I came home I did more research on hot tub prices and realized how competitive Spa Express was, so not only is the service exceptional, the prices are as well. Spa Express also has a wonderful product service person, Nathan, he came to my house once the spa was installed to answer any questions and guide me in the appropriate methods of management of the water etc. He was also extremely kind and a great listener to answer all my questions. He can make house calls if need be, it is wonderful to know there is support if you need it. Do not hesitate to go to Spa Express, they do business the Old Fashioned Way. Service, care and kindness. We need more businesses like this in our world! read more

I've noticed that people don't use Yelp very much for home services and contractors in Santa Rosa. So if you're from SF and want to find help, here's a great hot tub repair service you can use. The Spa Express guys were able to help me out before a busy holiday weekend, actually, ON the weekend of Labor Day. They do a great job, communicate, send invoices and take care of business. This is really important, especially when you have a rental and the hot tub has got to work. I know this sounds like a fake review, but I swear, it's just the reflections of a grateful long-distance homeowner. They also really stand behind their work. After spending a considerable amount on a new heater/control set for our brand new(!) hot tub, (and after two brand new factory control units melted down), they came back to follow up when it wasn't working as it should. If there is more work to be done, I've found them to be reasonable in their prices. Hot tubs are known to break down, especially after a few years. When it counts, I'd call Spa Express in a heartbeat. Ask for Derek. read more

Derek Baum at Spa Express and his technician Steven (Stephen) were absolutely AMAZING! Not only did they get to me in record time for the initial service, there was another slight problem and the technician came out again the very next day to fix it. Due to travel I only had a few days to do the repairs and Derek made it work. My repair was a huge job but he also gave me a good price so I could do all of the needed repairs in one go. On top of all of that, they had great attitudes (I had to cancel twice due to my very sick husband and they understood.) But this is not the first time I have worked with Derek. He has serviced my various tubs for over 25 years. He gave me a great price back when I bought my first house and I was struggling (I think the hot tub was bigger than the house.) And he is still just as gracious as when I met him. His technician is skilled and just as kind. All the Best to Spa Express! read more

Derek went above and beyond to help us get our first spa. He stayed after hours on a Sunday so we could look at a few different spas and then answered all of our questions so we got the spa that was right for us. He was also able to get it delivered to us the next day. We've used the spa just about everyday since we got it, so it more than paid off to work with someone that knows the business and what spas work for their customers. We got a great deal and Derek has been awesome to work with. I'm glad we took the trip up to Cotati to get our spa. read more

I was on the fence on getting a hot tub and Spa Express was only place I went to check out tubs. Derek is the man!!! He knows what he's talking about and didn't make feel like an idiot when I was asking him questions. I ended up leaving not buying a tub and 3 days later I got a follow up call seeing if I was still interested. I pulled the trigger immediately. That's the level of service that I like. His prices are great, bc he only sells higher end tubs. I look forward to doing more business in the future and possibly getting my hot tub serviced through them. Thanks a million for the great service!!! read more

Let's see.. Derek sold us our hot tub 28+ years ago and recently rebuilt it to like new. Over the years Spa Express has proven to be top notch. 5 stars , time tested , reliable , honest and friendly . If only he would run for President !! Vote for Derek he soaks people the right way. read more

When the Dreadful Wind and Rain of December 2016 hit, I decided to revisit my long-unused Sundance Spa, only to find an error code on the control panel, and that the GFI would interrupt the circuit and cut power occasionally. Soon, the GFI was tripping like a Deadhead out at Goat Rock. Bummer, man. I had the U.S. Blues now, for certain. I upgraded the 220 volt "spa box" electrical service, but no Deal. My electrician (thanks, Chris!) suggested that I call Spa Express, as he had good luck with them in the past. I am Grateful that he did, because they sent out Al, and he diagnosed my issue in less than 5 minutes. It was a bad circulation pump. He had one in his van, installed it, and I was Truckin' in no time. Thanks, Spa Express. Now I can enjoy my Sunshine Daydream Till The Morning Comes. All jokes (and song titles) aside, Spa Express came through for me. I really am thankful that Al had the part in his van, and that he was so fast with the repair, explaining every step of the way what he was doing. An affable and eminently capable repairman. Thanks also to Derek for fitting me into their schedule. read more

Excellent experience with Spa Express with Derek and the team! I was out of town when my existing hot tub needed replaced. Derek took care of it all. Drained and removed the existing tub; delivered and setup the new one. He was knowledgable, professional and friendly. He went the extra mile to make it all happen in a timely manner. Even after the sale, I had a bunch of questions that he spent time on to ensure I had the right understanding. I'm very satisfied with my overall experience. I would/will use him again in the future for my Spa needs. You should give him a shot also; you won't be disappointed. read more

There was a large number of stores selling swim spas, but Derek and his team were exceptionally helpful with both the initial purchase, and continued support afterwards. We shopped around a lot and found that Spa Express offered the best product, price, and service. read more

I highly recommend Spa Express. Derek is one of those truly owner involved, owner cares, independent local businesses that I prefer to support and recommend. My repair person Al was out promptly, on time. Beyond the assigned repair, he took the initiative and care to notice and recommend a safety installation of a new grounded outlet location and I'm glad he did. I had been operating the tub for years without this safety feature and did not know it! Derek is not just an expert in the hot tub business, he really cares that he in the customer service business too and it shows with excellent service. I recommend contacting him for any of your hot tub needs. read more

Spa Express is definitely one of the best spa places in Sonoma County. Cheap, family friendly, fast, efficient, these guys do it all. When I originally went to Spa Express, I wasn't expecting very much; however the staff was knowledgeable and was able to explain to me long term and short term costs, tub types, and what would be the best tub for me and my family overall. The owner personally walked me through the differences between ozone and chemical filtration, as well as what would be best chemical wise for my spa. When I had decided on the spa, it was shipped to my house with some professional movers which went off without a hitch. It was installed and the whole process was very quick, and I was able to use my tub the next day. I highly recommend Spa Express for anything hot tub related! read more

I found Spa Express through Yelp , being it has the highest stars, I contacted them since I was shopping for a New Hot Tub. They gave me a couple of options and worked with me and stayed within my budget. We ended up with Nordic Spa. After enjoying it for a while , the hot tub keeps tripping. We had to go through all the possibilities from Electrical Issue , GCFI , Heat Exchanger etc. Derek was responsive and had his technician came out asap. He didnt just sell us the hot tub but also treated us as a long term client. Even with the fire season , hot weather , he made sure things were working. We had to go through changing some of the parts , and even the breaker on the electrical. He was patient and followed up with us to make sure everything is working properly. So if you are considering purchasing a HOT TUB, look no further , knowing Derek will take the time to explain different models as well as taking care of you during your ownership. read more

I'm happy to update my review of Spa Express. This review should serve as an example of how a business owner should handle an unhappy customer. Immediately after my review was posted on Yelp, Derek reached out to me via text, email, voice mail and Yelp response. He was determined to make contact with me and rectify the problem even though he was out of state. He assured me he would address my concern. Within four days of his contact I received my spa cover, which others spa stores previously told me was an 8 to 10 week wait. Derek personally came to my house and delivered the cover and installed it. He also performed an inspection of my spa at no cost to me. It says a lot about a business owner when he cares enough about his business that every customer is important. It completely reassured me that he values me as a customer and I will certainly continue to do business with him and I encourage others to do so as well. read more

After getting the run around from another spa repair service that never showed up when they said they would, I contacted Spa Express through Yelp and heard back right away. Despite being in Cotati, Derek was completely willing to send a tech to my house in Cazadero. A tech fixed my hot tub within a few days, the price was reasonable, and I got the invoice electronically (which is super appreciated). I couldn't be happier with how easy this engagement was, and how professional this operation is. Customer service and attention means a lot; I'll be using Derek's services again. read more

Great company ! Great service, Couldn't ask for a better experience in taking care of my tub. DS

We have been really happy with Spa Express for the regular maintenance of our hot tub. They take grate care of the tub and do a monthly cleaning and balancing of chemicals. On their first visit when they noticed we had small kids and were not going to be using the tub heavily they suggested we switch from chlorine to bromine which would be less harsh on the kids and less of an overall chemical smell. It's that kind of attention not just to our hot tub but our overall needs and experience which makes me highly recommend Spa Express. They are going to be taking care of our tub going forward. read more

Derek keeps delivering. We've got a below-ground spa which is a pain to install, and a few weeks after we got it in we noticed a slow leak. I called into Spa Express and got a fantastic reconditioned six person spa which Derek held for us until we were ready for installation. I came to Spa Express about 2 months ago looking while doing research to find a hot tub. Derek and Michelle were both very friendly and knowledgeable. They understood my limited budget and quickly located a slightly used top brand tub that exactly suited my needs. They arranged to have it installed, and even came out personally to check on it. When a minor issue surfaced, they had it serviced free. Derek even gave us a bunch of great products free to get us started. I couldn't be happier. The tub is exactly what I wanted at the right price. Much appreciated! read more

Spa Express and Derek are amazing. If you want personal, friendly, expert, and thorough customer service with out being pressured then this is the place because Derek is your guy. Derek was patient and super helpful with the selection of our new spa, it's delivery, and was also helpful with information/resources for the concrete slab and electrician work that needed to be done before the spa's arrival. If there was a 6 star rating, he would have earned it easily. There are so many personal touches that we experienced in this process that confirms that we selected the right company for the purchase and ongoing questions/service that I know we will be long time Marin county customers of Spa Express.
