Long overdue, but saw some of my pool photos here and wanted to share. First off - Juan is great guy to work with and loves his job. Second... name one other pool company with this level of review. You can't because they mostly take advantage of owners - Juan is true, honest and fair. Delivers and is easy to work with. Quality is good and he has to be given a name like "Holy Waters"! He did a three sided infinity edge pool finish and I filled it with a garden hose, and it all started spilling over together. That's near impossible - but he did it the old fashion way and nailed the edge on all three sides. I had a couple of "upgrade" auto features and he came out quickly and integrated them easily. Lots of good guidance and design build support. Recommend. I'll add couple cool pics from night that he didn't get to grab. read more

Excellent work - on time and on budget. Highly recommend them. Great communication and very professional

Having Holy Waters to remodel my 38 x 18 inground pool was the best choice I could have made. Juan keeps all of his promises, and got the job done on time and at the price promised. He and his crew are honest, trustworthy, and hard working! Special thanks to Martin on his crew. The guy knows what he's doing. I highly recommend Holy Waters! They are the best! - Dan in Santa Rosa read more

Absolutely amazing experience with Juan and his team. My wife and I searched, met with and got bids from 5 different pool builders prior to selecting Holy Waters... and wow we are so happy, the level of detail, expertise that went into the project were unbelievable. He worked with me tirelessly to get it exactly as we wanted along with navigating the permit process etc. I truly can not recommend them enough. He is a class act in a world of weasel contractors out to squeeze every penny and get out fast. THANK YOU JUAN!!! read more

Holy Waters Pool and Spa - General Contractors Near Me

Martin came within four hours of my text to owner Juan about a possible leak near our pool. We are in our third year enjoying Holy Waters' creation. The entire process was seamless and I felt comfortable in Juan and Cara's good hands. Now this kind of service in our third year with our pool is beyond amazing, also unusual. Martin sized it all up and expertly pinpointed the problem, then FIXED it. It was not their doing, but they were all over it. Who else gets their contractor to come problem solve within half a day?!!! Thank you Juan, Cara and Martin! read more

Holy Waters helped us plan the pool that was right for us and they built it quickly and without issue. They handled the County requirements, all permits and even worked with the Inspector in settling a few issues with the existing conditions without fail. The custom design, specific design requests and tight site were never an issue and the end product was better than expected. Their approach was simple with very few subcontractor involved except for the more technical finishes, keeping costs low and the schedule fast. A few quality control and warranty issues were addressed without issue, quickly and in good order. We have had the pool now for over four (4) years and we remain extremely happy with the final product and have recommended Holy Waters and Juan to other friends and neighbors. I would gladly use Holy Waters again should we ever be lucky enough to require another custom pool in the future. read more

Super company. Juan and Cara built me a beautiful pool with an eye towards longevity and easy maintenance. Started with clear and detailed quote that informed the whole process. Very hands on - Juan was always on site and has great relationships with the people he works with. Resourceful problem solvers - Juan and Cara respond quickly when questions or issues arose. Wonderful experience, highly recommend. read more

Holy Waters Pool and Spa - General Contractors Near Me

Holy Waters has been reliable and thoughtful throughout our pool design and build out. We already had landscape specs drawn up, and Juan made sure that the pool we designed was built based on the plans we already had. We had a couple of things we wanted which were outside the norm (like a partially subterranean design, integrated planters, and a water feature) and Juan was able to accommodate them well. Cara was consistently communicative and clear about the payment timeline, no surprises. Making payments was also super easy because they use an online bill payment system which supports a bunch of different payment methods. Juan and his team were always here when they said they'd be and respectful of our space. As we built, there were a number of key decisions we had to make around materials and design. Juan made sure we understood each of the options and helped us make choices which aligned to our design taste and budget. I never felt pressured around upgrades but taking Juan's advice we've been very happy with how things turned out! The attention to detail and quality was exactly what we hoped for. We 100% recommend working with Holy Waters for your pool or water feature!! read more

We had a great experience working with Juan and Cara on our pool. The finished product is beautiful, and they were helpful and kept us informed all along the way. Costs came in as expected and we appreciated Juan's advice throughout the process. We love our pool and are excited for years of fun! read more

Just an FYI they do not want to refinish your pool, they are only interested in installing brand new pools.

The professionalism, skill and love this company displays is beyond beautiful! It's Holy! I've followed their work and I can not wait to book them for my backyard oasis! read more

My husband and I did a lot of research when we took on the project on of putting in a pool! Holy Waters was highly recommended by a few close friends and we are SO happy we chose them. They did a beautiful job on our pool, their service is impeccable, we just can't say enough. As an example, today my husband contacted owner,Juan, about a service question. Not only did Juan respond right away, but he came to our home within the hour, he is always available for questions! Look no further than Holy Waters. Great quality, amazing service and just all around good solid company, thank you Juan! read more

I had a great experience with Juan and Cara at Holy Waters. They built a brand new pool for us in Sonoma, and I even moved the location after Juan had already gotten the permit. No problem, he got it changed and the overall process took only 2.5 months or so. I have since called Juan or Cara two times with small issues and they were responsive with follow up and solutions, showing that they care about their past customers. I would work with them again if the opportunity arises. Believe me, pools are normally very difficult to get built given the number of subcontractors, but since Juan does almost all of the trades himself (licenses plumber and electrician, excavating, tiling, etc) it all happens fast and seamlessly. read more

I can't recommend Juan, Cara and Holy Waters enough! We are first time pool owners and Juan and Cara thoughtfully and carefully helped us choose the best possible pool and accessories for us. As another reviewer said, you have no idea all the decisions that go in to building a pool till you go through the process. Juan and Cara made it easy for us. They have a lot of integrity and we really felt like they worked with us to provide us with the best pool for us, not necessarily the most expensive. AKA I was never worried I was being up-sold - it's just not how they work. They also promised us our pool by our move-in date, a really aggressive timeframe, and delivered on schedule. Best of all though...the pool itself! It's incredibly beautiful, we absolutely love it!!! We've used it almost everyday since we moved in in early August. My 5 year old is over the moon. We are happy customers and would recommend Holy Waters without reservation. read more

Highly recommend. My pool was done on time and looks fantastic. Juan and Cara are just delightful to work with. Probably the best experience I have ever had with a contractor of any kind. read more

Juan and his crew built a beautiful pool for our new home and have been great from start to finish. Reliable. High quality work. Friendly. Good communication. Responsive when problems arise. I highly recommend Holy Waters. read more

Juan from Holy Waters is indeed a great find! His rate for coming to look at my old, non-functional, used spa was not only very reasonable (read - cheapest in the area!), but he was able to come out quickly. I'm normally pretty handy, and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg getting this old spa running, so he agreed to show me what was wrong and what parts I needed to get, so that I might attempt the repair myself. Way above and beyond just the one-time service call and modest fee, Juan repeatedly guided me through many phone conversations in my struggles with the motor, pump and panel. He also offering to help me, for free, to remove a stuck wet-end if I just brought it by (I ended up needing a new one anyway). It's nice to find a solid, trustworthy serviceperson in any business - and Juan is such a find. read more

So very helpful and well informed! Small crew and very busy so plan ahead if you want them to construct a pool and spa for you.

One of the best contractor experiences we've ever had. As first time pool builders/owners the process was new and scary for us so we did a ton of research and reached out to a lot of pool contractors before deciding to go with Holy Waters. Juan and Cara were professional, honest, responsive, detailed, and easy to work with from the start. Cara immediately responded to our initial request and followed up with a preliminary quote based on our specifications. Their quote was very detailed and easy to follow so we set up a meeting with Juan who was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything so we understood the entire process. Prior to the start of work we were given a detailed schedule with completion dates. Every milestone they gave us was met and any questions we had along the way were quickly answered. Every inspection was signed off no problem and the inspector even commented that they provided some of the best plans he'd ever seen. Their knowledge and attention to detail is top notch and we now have a beautiful pool! We get so many compliments and everyone who sees the equipment and setup says these guys did it right. I highly recommend Juan and Cara from Holy Waters Pool & Spa and we couldn't be happier! read more

We had a issue with our hot tub where it would not heat up past 80 degrees. We could not figure out what was wrong. We called the manufacturer, but they were not help. So frustrating! A friend recommended Juan! Thank god! He quickly came over & figured out a piece within the hot tub was broken! Juan ordered a replacement & installed it without a sweat! I highly recommend you talk to Juan before anyone else if you need any services for your pool or hot tub. Well worth it! Thanks Holy Waters!!!! You saved us from having to buy a brand new hot tub! read more

Our experience Working with Holy Waters Pool and Spa was very positive. Holy Waters Pool and Spa handled all my projects from start to finish. It's not easy this day and age to always find companies that lookout for their customers the way Juan does Juan is very professional and away gets the job done right the fist time..I highly recommend Holy Waters Pool and Spa to anyone in need of a pool company. read more

As a Realtor, I know the appeal of a pool, but also the value of enduring design and equipment. Juan built our own pool, and his company has been terrific before and after the work. He made great suggestions, and improved upon our architect's site plan, bringing his expertise and experience with so many properties to our project. Our builder had high praise for him too. Juan knows what really works, what is enjoyable over time, and what can be maintained reasonably. Absolute top quality and responsive service are reasons I recommend Holy Waters Pool to my Clients. read more

Juan at Holy Waters was wonderful to work with. Our process to build the pool in our backyard went as smoothly as any construction project can go, we ended up with an amazing finished product, and through it all we always felt like Juan had our best interests at heart. Juan and Cara put in our pool and spa last year. They did a phenomenal job of helping us decide what we could do within our budget to make the setting beautiful. They stayed on time and on budget which was extremely important to us. Since then we have had some learning issues with our equipment and remote control and they always respond ASAP and help us work through our issues. They even went so far as to drive to our home and help a friend using our house!! They are two of the best independent business owners I have ever met. Theirs service is always prompt, courteous and continually going above and beyond. I cannot thank them enough and would give them a higher rating if I could! read more

This pool company is fantastic!!! Juan and Cara are as nice and professional as it gets. They are knowledgeable and made the process really fun. The pool/spa are spectacular. They had great suggestions, explained everything clearly. Super people! read more

I had a rather tall pool order; we have a long narrow back yard and 5 dogs. I didn't want the pool to overpower the entire yard, after all, my dogs are accustom to having large green lawn, big trees and plenty of room to romp, but I wanted a long "swimming" pool, not some fancy shaped, can't swim-a-lap pool. I wanted a spa as well. And oh, I rescue blind dogs, so I want the pool elevated about 18 inches above ground, so no dog could ever fall in. Juan was about the 5th pool builder I interviewed. He "got it" right away. Juan was attentive to my wants and needs, mindful of my budget, thoughtful in planning, knowledgeable in landscape, (protecting the old trees), and brilliant in execution. Today I have a sparkling 15' x 50' salt-water pool, elevated above ground with a stunning custom hand-laid brick surround by Juan and Martin (tons of bricks). The pool has one lane 4 feet deep for water walking, the other 6 feet deep for laps; gorgeous inlaid mosaics, a Baja shelf with umbrella holders. I should mention I made a rather substantial design change right before gunite, and Juan didn't get upset - he rescheduled the sub, rewired the rebar, all while exhibiting poise and decorum. What prompted me to write this review was a problem I encountered 20 months later, and not Juan's fault. It's of critical importance you take good care (yourself or a pool service) of your pool water's chemical balance. Unfortunately the pool service we hired did not service the pool correctly (for over a year) and invisibly for a while, a terrible calcium buildup on the quartz-gunite resulted from the neglect. Devastated, I called Juan. He came the next day, evaluated the (serious) problem, made time in his busy schedule to partially drain and polish off the quartz finish. Juan also researched pool services in my area and made a recommendation. Now that's Customer Service Par Excellence!! All around great experience with a small family owned business. I'm 5 star happy. read more

This business is run by a nice, fair and honest couple. They are easy to work with and thorough in their research regarding the best product choices. We had a couple hold ups, but they were due to permits and not Holy Waters' fault. read more

Juan and Cara are awesome! The planning was great, the work turned out fantastically and they were super easy to work with. I live out of state so communication was really important and they made it easy - with photos and texts, phone calls and more. The project was on time, on budget and looks great. read more

I can't recommend Holy Waters enough. Juan and Cara are wonderful people and so easy to work with. We had them build a pool for us and it is beautiful. They listened to what we wanted, asked us great questions and built an amazing pool for us. They were efficient and finished ahead of schedule. Now that the pool is in, they are still extremely responsive whenever we have questions for them. We've recommended them to several friends and I felt compelled to recommend them here too. read more

We were a first time pool owner and totally green. Juan and Cara provided a very detailed quotation and explained the pros and cons of everything. Juan is hands on and not a salesman so he made recommendations to get us the best end result and didn't try to sell us stuff we didn't need. The end result was we got everything we were looking for. They finished the pool per time schedule, took good care to preserve our lawn, prompted us to make decisions so as there would be no delays. There was a couple of little hick ups during construction but Juan and Cara informed us immediately and fixed/compensated us for the problems. I am a contractor myself and I know stuff doesn't always go as planned. Would definitely use them again and I have already recommended them to friends. read more

I literally got 17 quotes for our pool remodel/crack repair. Our pool was in bad shape! They all sent sales guys to our house, with quotes ranging from 2k-47k. The owner of this company showed up in his work boots to give us a quote because he actually does the work instead of just sell the job. My pool was in bad shape he had to do a lot of work to fix it right, but took no shortcuts like the sales guys wanted too. They did too much to list, it's unbelievable. Anyways we now love our pool it's beautiful. Juan helped us redesign it and gave us options we could afford. This job was huge, and we got a new pool and a friend for life. I've checked around and did a lot of research, Holy waters is the best, and when I have a problem, like I don't know how to get the pump right, heater won't work (it's old), or something like that I call him and he shows up. Not a sales guy, but the owner of the company. You won't find That anywhere. read more

We needed to some work on our 1970s built pool. Prior to any work being done, I was very diligent with my research on companies. Received many quotes and met many folks. Juan was very honest, down to earth, and came highly recommended. As others have already mentioned, having someone come out (on time) and walk through his ideas honestly (non-salesy) is a breath of fresh air. Juan and his team showed up each time on schedule, performed their work professionally, kept the area clean after each day and did exceptional work. I couldn't be happier. I had a couple of questions post project completion and Juan would personally show up to help. 5 stars. I will definitely use them again when needed. No question about it. read more

My hot tub leaked for a year. When I called holy waters, I found Juan to be very professional and willing to take the time to explain what the source might be. Juan fixed the leak in a couple of hours. He is honest, reliable and very competent. He did exactly what he said he would - on time, and for less than I thought the job would cost. When was the last time you could say that about a contractor? Juan is the go-to guy for pool and spa needs in the greater Bay Area. read more

Let me start this review by saying, I am a difficult customer at best, and I cannot speak highly enough about Holy Waters Pool & Spa! As a first time pool owner, I had no idea all the decisions that go into this, and the costs associated with each! Juan and Cara took the time to explain all options, and gave fair pros and cons for each. In fact, when I was really struggling to make a decision on size, Cara went out of her way to meet me at a recent construction site to give me a clear visual of what they were proposing! They were very forthright and sincere, and I never felt as if they were pushing an agenda! I was constantly asking questions, and requesting additions and deletions to the initial quote, but through it all they remained accommodating and professional. They followed up appropriately, yet also left me on my own, to make decions when they knew I needed time. I'm really big on customer service, and this company definitely excels in that arena - in fact, I never really felt as if I was dealing with a company, but rather old family friends! Despite my difficultness, my indecisions, and my multiple requests for change Holy Waters went above and beyond to meet our target "swim" date - and we can not be more happy with our pool!! Glad to recommend this company - they are outstanding!! read more

I hired Juan to do an equipment move on my pool. He was responsive and communicative which is more than I can say about every other pool contractor I called. Not only did he do the equipment move, but I hired him to install solar and replace the mastic around the pool. I would use him again and recommend him to anybody. read more

Horrible company. Juan is a nice person but no attention to detail. We had a complete remodel of a pool, added a fire pit and a spa. What was said to take 3 weeks was well over 6 months before we had to fire them and the job was no where near complete. The quality was truly the worst. Juan even admitted it. Usually only one guy on the job and he was around 75 years old. Cara, his wife, came into the picture later and she had no clue what was going on. She would never show up for meetings we planned and always had excuses. As you can see I rarely write negative reviews but I just had to on this one. Stay away from them. If you wish to email me privately I can show you pictures in more detail of the poor craftsmanship etc of the job they attempted to do. Pretty amazing. We essentially had to tear up what they did and re do the entire job. Just a really bad experience with this company and these people. Steer clear. read more

It is important to know that having a pool installed is a major construction project, so a knowledgeable and organized vendor is key to success. Holy Waters pool is owner operated which allows customers to get all questions answered directly from the person who actually building the pool. Juan and Cara are very hands on and run a very professional shop from getting the plans drawn through filling the beautiful pool with water. They do a great job of working with town officials when a permit is needed and work hard to stay on timelines and manages expectations through what can be a messy (literally) process. The quality of the finished product as well as the heating, filtration, and lighting systems are top notch. I've gotten so many compliments on the pool and spa in a town where everyone has a pool. I'm very proud of the job HWP did and they stayed on budget, unless I made a change to the job. Honest and hardworking is a good way to describe the dynamic duo at HolyWaters. Two thumbs up without question!!! read more
