I received a gift card from here. My daughter called to set up an appointment. If you can navigate their spotty availability, you have to plunk down a credit card for no particular reason. When my daughter questioned the need for that, since our visit was paid for, they barred her from the Gilbert AND Chandler spas. When I requested a refund, I was denied and they stopped responding. Review of Gilbert TrueRest I downloaded the app after reading reviews on yelp for this facility. I was able to book a first time appointment with the app. However I still had a few questions so I sent a message via the app. I received a personal callback from a Gilbert staff member. They left a very detailed message in regards to questions I had sent them and answered all of them and made me feel very comfortable with the initial contact. Went for my first visit yesterday. Cannot show enough gratitude to both Holly & Iga for the tour, their kindness, and patience during that first visit. They even went as far as sending me links to both a video as well as the manufacture of the most comfortable relaxing chairs I have ever been in. As a person who has struggled with physical pain and mobility issues, they were able to book me in a room with grab bars to assist me during my experience. What can I say about the sensory deprivation tank? It was my first experience ever using one. While I had anticipated issues getting into the tub there were none. Both ladies have made several suggestions on how to ease that transition as well as answering every question I had thought to ask. I also suffer occasionally from claustrophobia, and was concerned whether or not this experience would be a good one. Informed that I could leave the lid up or slightly ajar via the hydraulic lifting system alleviated all my concerns. The choice of music and/or lighting within the tank are completely optional and controlled by the user. The actual experience was one of the most relaxing I had had in my life. As a logical, analytical, overthinker; I was able to release and just relax in the tank and my physical body melted away. For almost an hour I felt no pain or discomfort. Of course, 1000 pounds of Epson salts and 10 inches of water definitely helps that as well. The magnesium that your body absorbs while in the experience is 1000 times better than the magnesium spray are used nightly on my limbs. I was so impressed I joined a membership for two floats a month. Upon checking out I was gifted a bracelet aromatherapy as well as a small gift bag. The Gilbert facility had the kindest staff I've met. As well as enjoying the privacy, lack of noise, and lack of sight the room and tank provided. I found this to be one of the most worthwhile endeavors I have tried. So I have to say that I would recommend this type of treatment and/or relaxation session to anyone who has an opportunity to try it. read more

I had always wanted to try this out and finally decided to on Sunday! Setting the appointment was very easy and the receptionist was super friendly!! I was told to arrive 30 min before my float to go over paperwork since it was my first visit. The receptionist walked me through on what to expect during my float and she gave me a tour of the amenities. A video is also played for you that goes over the basic rules and tips. My float began at 2:35 and lasted an hour. This was the best hour of my life. Laying in the pod had to have been one of the coolest experiences ever. The water is nice and warm and the music was just perfect. I felt so relaxed during my hour float and at one point I found myself falling asleep. After your float you can shower and they do provide combs, towels, lotion, Q tips, and other necessities for your comfort. Hot tea and water are also provided and they have an oxygen bar! The oxygen bar was awesome and my nose had never been so happy! Memberships start at $59 a month which is not bad! Everyone needs to definitely experience this at least once in their lifetime, it's so good for you! I slept like a baby that night and my skin is still feeling nice and soft! I was gifted a trip with my sister to try out this float thing. Knowing very little we made our appts with an open mind and awaited our relaxing adventure. The receptionist was very serine. We signed our waver which raised some concerns I did not initially have. We changed out of our shoes into theirs and watched a video on floating positions and the benefits of floating. They say the best benefits come from floating often. After the explanation of how to use the items in the personal room and showering completely I climbed into my pod for a 60 min float. I left it open and wished the water was warmer and the music had not shut off after 5 mins. I experienced a burning in my neck/ shoulder blade which the video warned me might happen but that the pain would subside. It did not, even with trying different positions. I did start to try to let my mind relax and dream but was startled awake by abrupt noises coming from the hallway. A mans voice, doors seeming to be shut loudly, banging. The only light in my room is the pod I'm in and I was not feeling calm or relaxed. I know when the music comes on again it means get out and I'm just anxiously awaiting it's arrival. The music played, I excited the pod, rinsed off and tried hard to stop my hair from dripping from my bun. I didn't want to wash my colored hair with the shampoo provided and risk fadeage so I squeezed out the most water I could. I waited for my sister in the resting lounge that offers an oxygen bar and journals of other people's experiences. I tried the lavender oxygen for the first time and my sister tried orange. She said she couldn't smell orange. I'm not sure what I was supposed to experience but I smelled lavender. The receptionist apologized for the noise, a maintenance man was repairing a pod. During business hours?! I'm glad this was a gift and not my own money. I would not choose to have this experience again. Tip: bring a change of clothes. If you do not shampoo your hair after you will ultimately drip salt everywhere you go. read more

I absolutely love this spa. Jill and her team are beyond fantastic and really know how to knock customer service out of the park! I have been floating here for about 2 years now and it has helped me in so many ways. Helped with body pain, anxiety, skin conditions, hell even the best nap of my life! All the staff is so accommodating and kind. Being able to play specific stations on Pandora for my float and bringing me a nice cup of tea to enjoy in the Oasis room. I will say though one of my favorite things about this location against others is the cleanliness of the location and attention to detail. You never find anything out of place and there is never salt residue anywhere. Coming here you will be sure to find peace and tranquility and leave feeling refreshed and renewed! read more

I have a hard time differentiating between this place, and the new regulations as a result of COVID-19, but either way I feel like it really tainted my experience. For starters they wanted me to bring in my own towel. Which is fine, but I'd really prefer not to have to bring in a towel, then stuff a wet towel in my bag until I get home. I understand they do offer towels, but I felt like I had to. Next was having to wear a mask in any of the common areas. I about passed out due to lack of oxygen (obviously being dramatic) while watching the orientation videos. It definitely distracted me from my ability to focus and relax. Also I would have loved to have just kind of relaxed afterwards in that one big room, but it wasn't worth not being able to breathe in fresh air. I was also super bummed I didn't get to try the oxygen bar, because I was really excited about that. As for the float itself, it was nice. I think my enjoyment was hindered due to my inability to properly relax and prepare myself, but the float tank itself was nice. I was however thrown off by a long hair that got stuck to my hand and couldn't get it off. I ended up being consumed by that and it threw off all the vibes. I did feel that the water was slightly too warm, as I was sweating in there and just slightly uncomfortable. read more

What a crazy experience. My massage therapist recommended I give "floating" a try to help with my pains and to relax. This being my first time, I was not sure what to expect. The staff at True Rest were fantastic. When I first walked in, they made me feel very comfortable in sharing how the process works, its benefits, what needed to be filled out in the paperwork, a tour of the facility and how to operate everything. When I was shown to my spacious room with the float tank, I was a bit overwhelmed in remembering what to do. Luckily they have all the instructions written down on the wall. After getting settled into my tank, it was odd at first to truly make myself relax. Being a full time working mom, our brains don't relax easy. I ended up taking a nice nap in the tank and didn't realize how much time had past. When the music came on to signal that my float time was over, I woke up feeling very refreshed and relaxed. I think I got some REM sleep in there. After my float was done, I had the opportunity to reflect and take some time at the oxygen bar. Also, my first time doing that. Very refreshing. It was a relaxing experience sitting in a quiet calm environment, just giving myself some much-needed attention and downtime. They say it takes a few floats to help with the relaxing part and helping with aches and pains. I noticed a difference in my little pains but not my larger/deep pain areas. This was also my first time, so you have to take into consideration that it wasn't a magical cure in one session. Have you seen the movie "Minority Report"? I felt like one of the precogs that were floating in the water, except I didn't get the previsualized visions that the psychics in the movie received. Instead, I had a rejuvenating and relaxing experience. I first heard of floatation tanks from one of my co-workers after I had mentioned that I practice meditation. I was intrigued and was more than ready for inner-space travel, so I booked myself a floatation. On my first time, it took a while for me to get adapted to floating on the salt water. I had a hard time concentrating, and even got an itch on my face. They tell you not to move, but I ended up scratching myself and got salt water in my eye. Not good! However, there's a water spray bottle inside the tank just in case this happens. I've heard that the first time is the most difficult and that the benefits get better with each session. So I decided to book myself another one. My second session in the tank, it took almost no time to get still both physically and mentally. Once I started slipping deeper and deeper into a peaceful relaxation, I became unaware of time, and I experienced an almost spiritual and mental detox. Being inside this sensory deprivation tank was a nice break from social media and everyday distractions. Being inside it forced me to confront the highs and lows of what happened to me in the past few years and channel positive energy toward what's to come. I felt euphoric, and meditative by being perfectly still. I'm going for my third float next week, and I intend to experience more positive results. I received a free session from a client so I decided to try them out. I've never been to a float spa before and I've heard it's a very enjoyable experience. Especially while you're pregnant, and during my pregnancy I've been extremely sore in my legs and arms, and basically my entire body. The overall experience was very relaxing. However, my neck felt a little bit sore after and the next day since your basically keeping your head afloat for an hour. Very relaxing experience though. read more

UPDATE: Holly was super nice booking my float, then Stephen was great... got me right in, was super calming and then hooked me up to the Oxygen Bar and let me breathe in peace, only asking if I needed anything or wanted to switch scents once. Although I still wasn't able to fall asleep (once again, my fault, not theirs!) I left much more relaxed than last time and thinking about purchasing a membership in the near future. The ONLY thing I would've changed was the accessible room I was in, because as a tall woman (6'0) the shower was too low and the shower chair threw off my "spa vibe" as it makes me think of work... I do like the place BUT beware. I purchased gift certificates online and they were not sent in the prescribed timeframe. They claim to send them in the 'next business day' but I have waited three days and am still waiting. I called the office and was told they "would notify the manager", but the manager has yet to respond. I tried contacting the corporate headquarters and their solution was to contact the Gilbert office front desk (and we know this will not prove effective). So if you plan to go - enjoy - it is a pleasant experience - just DO NOT purchase gift cards. I believe you will never receive them! WOW! Had my first float with my best friend and husband. We didn't know what to expect. Our hostess was Nikki and she was AMAZING! Showed us everything we needed to know. This was my first experience using float therapy and it is something everyone should try! I was greeted by Alyssa, who was helpful and very friendly. The experience of floating was difficult to grasp at first but as your mind begins to ease, you begin to let everything go. Too often, I feel like we are always on the go, looking for something to do to fill every moment, but being able to take an hour out of your day and give your body the relaxation it needs is worthwhile. My first float was amazing and beyond any possible idea/ expectations I had. I am recovering from breast cancer and have quite a bit of pain and inflammation in my left arm, breast, and pictorial muscle. I also suffer from chronic pain in my neck and tight shoulders. The Float Spa was clean, welcoming and the staff was so helpful and courteous. The process was very well explained (loved the little video in the beginning) and I felt comfortable and at ease. The float itself was amazing; being held in water is very healing and I could feel my muscles relax and release. When I finished my float, I was able to move my arm better than before and had significantly less pain. I absolutely would recommend to anyone suffering from chronic pain, post operation (healed of course), PTSD, etc. I felt lighter, more relaxed and rejuvenated and I absolutely will be going back again. True Rest Float Spa was a neat experience. The staff was wonderful and very polite. The big thing for me was that the whole spa was extremely clean and relaxing. The float itself was a little long and I don't know that I can get "into" the experience but, I did feel very relaxed afterwards. They take you through a quick instructional video, then you go to a private tub room when you shower with all of the products provide for you. You get in your float tub and do "the float". Afterwards, you'll repeat the shower to eliminate some the salt on your body and then they have a great prep room to get ready in. They provide you with wonderful organic lotions, body sprays, creams, combs, blow dryers. You can then have a cup hot tea and do their oxygen bar in the relaxation room. It was very calming. Overall, I may try it again because of the great experience. Everyone should try it at least once and only at True Rest. read more
