We spent the most wonderful day at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Spa celebrating my birthday,…read moreand I truly couldn't have imagined a more perfect experience! Mike and Daniel were our massage therapists, and they were absolutely incredible. I had the 90-minute Himalayan Salt Stone Massage, and one detail I especially appreciated was that the heated stones were incorporated throughout the entire treatment. At many spas, hot stones are only used for a portion of the massage, so this really elevated the experience. They also opened the doors of our treatment room to the patio, allowing us to hear the gentle sounds of the water features and birds chirping outside. It was absolutely magical and made the entire experience feel peaceful and luxurious. Afterward, we spent the afternoon enjoying the rooftop pool and had a fantastic lunch. The poke bowl and fish tacos were both delicious! From the treatments to the atmosphere, food, and amenities, everything was exceptional. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday, and I can't say enough wonderful things about this spa. We will absolutely be back!

To kick off the new year, my husband and I splurged and treated ourselves to a couples Thai massage…read more& head-spa package. While we've had Thai massages before, neither of us have ever been to a head-spa and we were beyond excited to see what all the rave is about. We started with our Thai massages in a beautiful couples room. What we loved most was how they integrate stretching into your massage experience. If you've never had a Thai massage there are bars on the ceiling and they hold themselves up to walk on your back and use their feet to manipulate and massage different areas of your body. Although it can be intense, it is also surprisingly therapeutic. Next we went entered the couples aqua spa room and had our head-spa experience side by side. They washed, conditioned, massaged, scrubbed, squeegeed, rubbed, combed, brushed, rinsed and used a waterfall feature on our scalps. I don't think my scalp has ever been so squeaky clean in my whole life! The woman who did my head-spa offered to blow dry it and as someone with thick, ethnic, wavy curly hair this was what I was most worried about going into the experience. I let her try but ended up having to finish drying and flat ironing my hair in the main bathroom. They had a Dyson blow drier and flatiron as well as brand name perfumes in the rooms, which really made the experience feel luxurious. For us the combo experience of two 60-minute treatments back to back was a little too long. I started getting antsy towards the end of the second treatment. In the future I'd love to return and enjoy one treatment because it really was a top notch experience.

The lobby is very clean and calm. They have various beverages and snacks for before/after your treatment and the staff was very welcoming. The treatment rooms are quite large and have plenty of space to hang personal items and not feel cramped. I did the standard treatment (60 mins), which was plenty of time for my preferences. The therapist started with a sound bowl and fragrance inhalation, and placed a warm eye mask on me. Throughout the treatment, she massaged my head, neck, shoulders, arms and hands and was very through with hair brushing and scalp exfoliation. I opted to not have my hair blow dried, but you have the option for them to do that for you. Overall, I had a great experience but it isn't something I can see myself doing on a regular basis. I am glad I tried it and my scalp and hair were in great condition after.

I spent 5 hours of pure bliss at this gorgeous spa! So grateful to have found it! The staff was so kind and helpful, especially front desk Megan! Spa was clean and modern. Day pass for $105.00, AZ resident: Salt room 30 mins Dry sauna 10 mins Jacuzzi 20 mins Cold plunge 10 mins Mineral pool 2 hours- this was by far the icing on the cake. My skin felt silky smooth after, quite literally felt as though I were swimming in silk! Ordered a blueberry smoothie, healthy options provided! It was delicious and light. Menu poolside was decadent, specialty cocktails and healthy bites. LOVED the real pond bordering the pool; little fish and lily pads galore, alongside you swimming, provides a peaceful nature touch. Only reason I provided 4 stars- I wish there were a NO CELL PHONE rule, as to provide peace and quiet around the spa and to ensure privacy. I would also love to see a NOISE & TALKING ORDINANCE around the mineral pool, so we all could truly be in peace and serenity. The pool was a bit too lively, for my taste, in a spa.

Wow...I've been to a lot of spas, and I just left the Spa at Camelback Inn. From start to finish,…read morethe experience was exceptional. This may honestly be my new favorite spa. The service begins the moment you arrive. The host actually ran to open the door for us before checking us in, which immediately set the tone. Christina checked us in and was incredibly service oriented. Since the regular tour guide wasn't available, she took the time to personally show us around the property, which was above and beyond. The remodel is absolutely beautiful and was done right. My only hope is that they maintain it over the years because it's a stunning facility. One thing I especially appreciated was the number of shared spaces. My partner and I actually enjoy spending time together at the spa, so I always look for spas that offer common co-ed areas, and this one has several. They also have a gorgeous women's-only pool with an incredible view, in addition to shared amenities. There were so many amenities that I didn't even have time to experience all of them. The staff genuinely seems happy to be there, and it shows. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help. For my treatment, I had Kristin. I almost hesitate to mention her because I don't want everyone booking her and making it harder for me to get an appointment but she was absolutely phenomenal. I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep during my service, which almost never happens. I sincerely hope they continue maintaining this level of service because they have something really special.

Overall a good massage but I had to ask her twice to decrease the pressure and she also didn't put an eye mask on me when I flipped onto my back, which was awkward. It was also freezing in the room and although she said she put it on warm, it never warmed up. I was ok on the warm table, but when I got up afterwards, it was still as freezing as when I got in. They recently did a renovation and the women's shower area is really nice with big individual frosted glass showers with a dry area in front of the shower so that your things don't get wet. Prior to our massages, we enjoyed the co-ed pool area which is for spa guests only, 18+. This was a relaxing area with several water features with different pressures that you could stand under. They also had two small pools to the left which was a cold plunge and a hot plunge (no jets). The views of the mountains were so relaxing and the waiter Daniel was highly available for you to order food and drinks if wanted. Then I went to the women's only area to shower. They offer the most amazing smelling salt scrub (complementary) that makes your skin so soft. Don't forget to grab a bowl! The attendants in the women's area were so helpful. In this area was also a steam room, sauna and an area to dump a bucket of cold water on yourself. They also had 3 heated beds that you can lay on for 10 minutes before your treatment. After the massage, you go in a co-ed sanctuary and lay on a bed with a weighted blanket with noise canceling headphones for 25 minutes. This bed also vibrates to the sounds you choose. One side of my headphones wasn't working unfortunately. After, this led into a co-ed lounge. The hot water maker was already put away (at 5:06pm when they close at 6pm) so I couldn't make myself a cup of tea afterwards - especially when I still felt freezing, which was really disappointing. I expected more for $295 - better snacks and tea available until closing time. I don't think that is a lot to ask for. With so many spas in the area, if ever back in Scottsdale, we don't plan to return.
