I feel very indifferent bout this place. It wasn't awful but it wasn't great either and I probably wouldn't return. To start, it's not aesthetically pleasing at all. They should try a little harder to make the place look more welcoming. I did the 50 min head spa and it felt like more brushing of the hair than massaging. Also, she was brushing so much that it started burning my head and didn't even feel good. You're also in one big room full of multiple beds next to each other so there's not any privacy and you can hear everything so it's not very relaxing. Some parts of the massage were good but more pressure could've been done. All in all it wasn't worth the $75. Save your money and go somewhere else.

My friend, sister, and I booked almost two months ahead of time for this place and we were so excited and ready for our heads to be pampered. The day finally we came and we made the voyage from the east valley. We arrived right on time and the two girls working quickly came out from the back and greeted us. My sister and I had our appts together but my friends was an hour later so she sat and waited at the front. The room where the treatment takes place is pretty big. There is no privacy though so you can see and hear other people if there is any. My treatment started as soon as I laid down. I put the pillow under my knees and used the blanket for some warmth. She started on my facial (add on to any service for an extra cost) and she took her time. I asked for medium pressure and she did just that. The facial took about 20 minutes and my face felt very relaxed during and after and it felt smooth. Next she started on my head. My favorite part was when she brushed out my hair gently and used the scalp massager. It also felt really good when she scrubbed my scalp and used a lot of shampoo. My scalp was loving it! Every product that was used whether it was on my face or head smelled really good and felt good. Time went by quickly and she wrapped up my hair once it was all done. I was then told I could head on over to the bathroom and brush out my hair. My sister and I both finished at the same time so we were both back there and we were also told we could use any of the styling products that they had on the counter. Overall we all enjoyed our service. The girls were friendly and no where did our service feel rushed. We paid almost $100 for the service and it was well worth it. It's been three days and even after washing my hair twice it still feels soft.

Zen Spa is located in a strip mall on North Avenue in Phoenix. For starters, I would rate my experience a 3.5 out of 5. I was very nervous to try this scalp treatment because of my hair type. When I scheduled my appointment, I asked the staff member if the hair technicians have experience working with textured hair, and they said yes. I made sure to detangle my hair before my appointment to prevent any matting. I also brought my detangling brush and conditioning products just in case something went left. Nathan was extremely receptive to feedback after my treatment. At first, he took a brush to my dry hair/ scalp which is a NO NO with textured hair. I was on the verge of stopping within the first 10 mins of my appointment. Once the massage started, things turned around. Nathan used rosemary oil to stimulate my scalp. He also used a specialized steamer to help enhance my relaxation and purify my scalp. The actual massage itself was very good. Right after my treatment, I advised him to use a spray bottle or add some sort of product to textured hair before combing or brushing. Overall, he did a good job with the massage. My final feedback would be to have some sort of 5 min consultation before the service begins. That way, you can understand the clients hair type and go into the treatment without any surprises.

Very relaxing. The head spa treatment consists of hair brushing, scalp massage, and hair wash. It all felt amazing. It's not the most luxurious spa experience though, and there is definitely room for improvement (i.e. they could add on aromatherapy, offer robes to wear or towel around neck, have higher quality hair products in bathroom, etc). However it was a lovely experience overall, worth the cost, and I do recommend going!

I enjoyed the Tranquil package at my appointment today and it was wonderful. I was so relaxed that I even nodded off a couple of times. You can smell the wonderful aromas the second you open the door and I felt immediately at ease. The treatment room has multiple beds but since you don't have to remove any clothing, I felt very comfortable here. I loved how dark and relaxing it felt with cool, dim lights that could change colors. I was offered a blanket and it was so soft and comfortable. They have a pillow for under your knees, but I could've used a little more cushion in the actual table. By the end of my treatment, my back was a little sore, but I didn't really mind with how amazing everything else was. They started with the facial and then the scalp treatments. Everything felt so nice and smelled so nice that I let myself fully relax. This appointment was a gift from my family and I may need to ask for this again for another holiday because it was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I went for the first time yesterday and it was one of the best things I've ever done. Angela was amazing and I can't wait to go again.

Two weeks ago, my world shifted in a way I wasn't prepared for. What started as a lump in my throat…read moreturned into three after an ultrasound, and now I'm facing the uncertainty of what comes next. The stress, the fear; it all settled deep into my neck and shoulders, leaving me in constant pain. My husband booked me a massage at Clovr Spa in Phoenix, and I truly don't have the words to fully capture what that experience meant to me. Anabel is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment the session began, she seemed to understand exactly what my body (and honestly, my mind) needed. She worked through layers of tension I didn't even realize I was holding onto. But more than that, she gave me something I hadn't had in weeks: peace. For one full hour, I wasn't thinking about test results or worst-case scenarios. I wasn't bracing myself for what might come next. I was simply present, breathing, and finally...finally...relaxed. When I left, the physical relief was incredible, but the emotional reset was just as powerful. I felt lighter. Calmer. Stronger. If you are carrying stress, pain, or just the weight of life, do yourself a favor and book with Anabel at Clovr. It's more than a massage. it's a moment of healing you didn't know you needed. I walked in overwhelmed and hurting. I walked out feeling like I could breathe again.

Overall, I'm quite happy with my experience and may come back. I got a same-day appointment online…read morefor a shorter massage and gua sha enhancement for a reasonable price. The treatment was nice! My only not so stellar experience with her was she had no idea what kind of oil she was using when I asked her. That was very strange. She said she would have to ask and get back to me. They have a monthly membership they push, and it was mentioned to me several times. If you have never been to a spa before, it's quite common to be upsold on products and services. I'm familiar with it, and I have no problem saying no, but want to mention to folks who are considering coming who may not be familiar so it's not surprising when it happens. Typically they stop if you say no, and this was my experience here so it was fine. The location is awesome and there is enough to do here to keep you occupied for a couple hours. You could really make a whole day of it if you get a couple services, want to do some shopping or browsing, and a meal. Speaking of food, it's worth mentioning they have a little tea and snack bar in the lobby. The furniture here is not that comfortable and does not feel cozy. I don't think they designed it to actually keep people here longer than a few mins, so it's not a spa lounge by any means but has the basics you'd expect for spa treats like water, tea, and a few snacks. I may be back! Admittedly, we are pretty spoiled for choice here in Phoenix of nice spas. But the location here really is good!

I really wanted to do the Hammam ritual here so I saved up for a long time. I enjoyed it and felt…read moregreat when it was done but I feel like it wasn't thoughtfully crafted and probably only worth about half of what they charged. The first part is to go into what they call a private warming Hammam room, but the warming room is actually not private and is open to everyone using the sauna. There is a private treatment room, and I think this is really what you are paying a small fortune for--to lie down on a 200-year-old authentic Cherrywood Hammam table for an exfoliation scrub. The table itself is beautiful but not very comfortable--it's high up, so hard to get onto, and--like all wood tables--is very hard. Next you are supposed to go through a self-guided journey through the steam, sauna, whirlpool, warming room again, and cold deluge. They have a recommended circuit but there is no way to actually follow the times on it because you only have 25 minutes (and it took me 5 to get my swimsuit back on). I think I was expecting to be able to spend this time focusing on the experience, but it felt more like I was rushing through the steps in time while hanging out in the spa with everyone else, trying to run through all of the steps in time. Finally, the website says this ends with a massage with CBD or arnica oil. This is in a separate room and on a regular and more comfortable table. Mine was just a regular massage, no oils, though I got to choose between lavender and eucalyptus scents. They do have fun add-ons, like shea butter or cupping or hot stones, but those don't add additional time, so you're paying extra to have a massage take less time so they can add on the other thing you paid for. But if you go during your birthday month you get a free add-on. Anyway, my massage therapist was really good but not $580 good.(I don't know if anyone could be!) There are a lot of spas hat are supposed to be for intentional purposes--like a place to put a rock selected for its qualities, or you can put your hand on an enormous crystal imported from Brazil. But they kind of rush you through this part and it doesn't really seem to be designed with care. For example, there is a fountain outside to put the rock that you see before you even receive a rock. It's not clear that you're supposed to pick it up on the way out. There is no clock in the room where you wait for your appointment. The hooks to hang your robe or towel are and there aren't enough hooks for the number of people. Etc. Overall I think $580 is way overpriced for what is offered, which is basically a scrub and massage and the same spa amenities as everyone else. I was also disappointed by the snack selection--they just had trail mix and dried mangos. I guess I am spoiled because I've been to Aji Spa, which has the most amazing selection of snacks and you can get a wrap and massage for roughly half the price. And it's really somewhere you want to hang out at all day. The food menu on the website is also out of date--I'd decided what I wanted to order ahead of time but it wasn't available. So overall I felt like this ritual didn't have the attention and care I would expect for something this expensive. I am glad I treated myself to this experience but would not do it again.

This was so much fun!! I don't often go to spas, aka have been once in my life before at Utah yoga…read moreplace with coloring books ^^, but yeah this was another time I tried it out!! Lots of activities you can do like hammam bath for back, sauna, cold plunge that was really a shower lol, jacuzzi. Then a whisper room where you can lounge on beds and chill. A prep waiting room with water and nut and mango type snacks. And of course the rooftop pool outside with amazing views!! On upside I got to try every activity here lol and it wasn't too crowded (and they give you bathrobes and lockers and stuff), but on other hand it did seem expensive bordering on pretentious to me a bit. But still really grateful I got to check it out!
