Arrived for my appointment and in less than a minute she was trying to upsell me 'a combo for $10 more'. Although I declined, she still asked me two more times. Then I go back to the massage table and she wants me to lie on my back and put my feet in a bucket of water about 18" below the edge of the bed. Unless she was going to go Kathy Bates on me, there was no way I could both lay down and put my feet in a bucket 18" below the edge of the bed. The only way was to sit, or scootch down and angle my legs into the bucket. Doing that, the edge of the bucket dug painfully into my calves. I tried to explain I could either lie down or put my feet in the water, but not both. She just kept telling me to lie down and put my feet in the bucket. I got up and left.

The foot massage was awesome and hit every inch from ankles to toes. The hair treatment was very relaxing and also included a short arm, neck and shoulder massage. My hair feels great - so soft! We "joked" about going back tomorrow and doing it again!

I have been getting facials for over 25 years and am a self proclaimed facial snob. I've visited the best in Bev Hills, SF, NYC, Napa, Vegas, and the list goes on. Her entire approach was very holistic. I would happily pay double what I was charged for both the service and the products.

I am writing this review to warn anyone considering visiting this location…read more My sister and I booked facials this week with two different aestheticians -- mine at 1:15, hers at 1:30. Despite having the earlier appointment, my sister was called back first, leaving me waiting an extra 10-15 minutes. The facial itself was underwhelming. I opted for a $30 upgrade for an additional service, only to receive what appeared to be a sheet mask I could have bought at the Dollar Store. When our facials were over, the young receptionist at the front immediately pushed us to rebook. We declined. She then pitched a package. We declined again. When we said no a second time, she asked, "Can I ask why?" I explained that we're busy moms and simply don't have the time. Her response: "I don't know if you've heard this, but you can't pour from an empty cup" -- implying we needed to book more facials to be better mothers. I understand upselling is part of the job, but that crossed a line. She continued pressing us two more times after that, and we left feeling frustrated and disrespected. The situation became far more serious the following day. My sister developed a severe reaction to the products used on her face -- her skin is now inflamed and she is in significant pain. She called the Bell location of Hand and Stone, and they offered some products she could pick up at the front desk. Because she was in too much pain to go herself, she sent her husband. When he arrived, the same receptionist who had spent so much time trying to sell us more services rushed him out the door -- apparently unwilling to draw attention to the situation in front of other guests. The contrast in her urgency was not lost on us. My sister is now seeing a doctor. She has had facials many times before and has never experienced anything like this. My warning is simple: do not book at this location. The upselling is aggressive and disrespectful, the product quality is questionable, and the risk of a serious skin reaction is very real. What starts as a relaxing facial could end up costing far more in doctor's bills than you ever spent on the service itself.

I was excited to use Sawanna and support local, and her massages are always a transcendental…read moreexperience (see my previous review here). But then she brought on another massage therapist, Aaron. After Sawanna told me how great Aaron is, I knew I had to try him. He is AMAZING! Aaron used a variety of different approaches to get to my deep knots in my back: massage, cupping, and even an electric massager that looked like a drill and felt like heaven. I am an athlete and I work at my desk 8-10 hours a day, so I get some serious issues in my back. Aaron didn't miss a step jumping right in there. He pulled out the big guns (I mentioned the electric contraption, right?!) and left me feeling like I'd had a great workout: a little sore but mostly relaxed and ready for the next thing. Ladies, if you haven't had a male massage you, you need to try. Aaron was extremely professional and, given that he's male, very strong. He is clearly experienced and touched base with me throughout to ensure I was okay, comfortable, and he was applying the right amount of pressure. I very much look forward to being on the table with Aaron again soon!
