When I noticed a new massage business opened in the same location, I was thrilled and decided to try it out. The excitement ended rather quickly. It was exceptionally difficult to communicate with the receptionist to make the appointment. I was told multiple times to "come in 30 minutes" when I was asking to make an appointment for later in the day. She did not ask for my name while making the appointment which I also thought was odd. When I arrived, I noticed the windows were blacked out by very dark tint and I thought it was strange that the sign on the outside says "Green Bamboo Massage" which is different from how the business is listed. I went inside and was greeted right away. I was thankful that even though my name was not taken over the phone they were still expecting me. I was scheduled for a 45 minute massage and was told it would be $60. I was surprised that payment was asked for upfront. I paid and was escorted to the room to change and lay down. I was very surprised I wasn't asked to fill out any paperwork with my history or what type of pressure I prefer. When the massage therapist came in, I asked if we could talk about my preferences before beginning, but there didn't seem to be an understanding of what I was saying. The reason I'm on the fence is because the massage was actually pretty decent. And I really appreciated being able to get an appointment the same day. What I was most uncomfortable with was the draping practices seem to be seriously lacking and I was slightly uncomfortable. I don't think I would go back unless I absolutely couldn't get an appointment somewhere else.

This is my first review for this establishment and is long overdue…read more I had been coming here for the last 10 months prior to moving out of state. I had seen many massage therapists ever since my wife and I started seeing one back in Ohio after we started doing fitness training with our kids. I started coming here after losing my wife last year for not only physical but mental stress. I saw a Great Masseuse named Rachel. I would say i saw Rachel on average of twice a month. She not only worked out all the kinks in my neck, back and shoulders but was very easy to talk to and worked on my mental stress as well. The room was always fresh and clean, and her selection of music not only was relaxing but lifted my spirits. I recently made a special stop at the spa after being on the road and away from the area for 2 months to see Rachael and booked a double session. They are a little weird with their scheduling as all masseuses are contractors so if the person you talk to isn't working the day you want you might need to call back by. Rachel was the person my wife got and she enjoyed the massage thoroughly. My wife usually has issues with massages being "too hard" or places that want to sell you a membership. This place was right on the money. Also the location was very clean some places I have been have either a chemical cleaner or heavy incense smell. This place had neither. It just smelled and looked very clean. They do take cards for payment as well as cash. Know that there is a $2 charge to use your card though. I deducted a point because of the weird scheduling that honestly might have turned a lot of people off. Once there though know it will likely be a decent massage. I am already looking to book my massage and a return trip for the wife.
