She spent 30 minutes prior discussing different techniques to address my areas of concern including "cupping" which I'd never experienced. My treatment was outstanding, I felt relaxed and relief afterwards.The cupping has already alleviated a significant amount of severe pain that I was experiencing in my foot. I've gone the Massage Envy/ Hand & Stone chain route before. The turnover is was so frequent that I could never find someone I liked and I always felt like I was being up sold, which I hate. Funny as I was leaving she stated those same words to someone else. No sincerity there at all. All about the point of sale; she got me that one time. The gentleman checking me in was excellent and very kind but after the massage was a little to pushy for my liking. Massage therapist was excellent. Toward the end of massage started to mention he wanted to see me each week for 90 minutes and he would give me daily stretches. After the massage I never received the stretches but I was definitely asked multiple times about a membership and informed about their holiday deal. I stated I don't live here. I have a regular massage therapist in my home town. Little pushy for me.

I was on time, early even. She left the room after I said I will be just ONE minute. All I had to do was remove my top. She came back at 2:08 for a 2pm appt then she turned the lights back on at 2:44. That is 36 minutes for a double credit visit plus another $15 eye upgrade! All of the aestheticians lead you out front and upsell you and that comes from management, so they have no choice about that part, but don't cut my facial short to upsell cream, which is what I suspected was the reason for cutting me short. I feel like I pay premium price to not have ads like a timeshare sales pitch! At $80/month that visit was worth $175, plus tip, All that extra money and I couldn't even get the full visit? I do realize, the upgrades are extra creams not extra time, but if you are adding another layer it stands to reason that you would definitely take the full time to do the facial, so it would at least be the full time allowed. Also, you never know what they are putting on you, but the supposed $15 upgrade was just adding a cream, no eye massage or anything just quick dabbing on some cream. The other lady always does a little eye massage, even without the extra treatment and I got NO eye massage at all with an EYE upgrade. She just dabbed on some cream. It seemed like I got way LESS for an extra $80 credit and an additional extra $15 fee than if I had just waited for an appt with the other aesthetician to begin with. My biggest disappointment was the front desk being not that interested in my complaint. I've been going to this place for years for the massages. You'd think they would actually try to keep people happy. I have one masseuse that I keep the membership for, but she is hard to get into and now I am finding the facials to be a big rip off. They are way more about upselling than actually doing the facial. That much money to slap on some cream for only 36 minutes!! It feels more like a promo mini-facial to sell me on the actual thing, rather than a full on facial you paid money for. If you get a membership here, stick to the massages. The other stuff is not really worth it or at least its inconsistent in the quality. Even the masseuses are sort of hit or miss, until you find a good one and then they tend to leave as soon as you find one or two that you like.
