The spa is located in a large building filled with small businesses, each occupying their own room--something I've noticed is quite common in Arizona these days. I arrived a bit early and waited for about 10 minutes until I met GeAnn. I had been sitting outside of unit 4, but she asked me to wait in a different area, which is when I realized she has two rooms. At first, my impression was that she wasn't particularly friendly--she didn't smile and seemed a bit cold. However, I have to say that her massage was excellent! She applied the perfect amount of pressure and worked through a lot of the tension and knots I had. By the end of the session, when I paid her, I finally saw a smile. I went to Gee Anne for a couple years. At some point it became more of a vent session, who I understood as everyone goes through hard times. At some point she ended up crying while giving me a massage. She then offered me a free head spa (said it was because of that and I'm a nurse so she's trying to give back) and when I came for the massage/head spa I realized the head spa is something I don't really want. But trying to be polite I sat through it. At the end she charges me for the head spa. I paid her but let her know she kind of ripped me off and wouldn't be seeing her again. She offered to take the charge off but by then I just didn't trust her. When I tell this story to other people they are just as shocked as I was. Trying to do something nice for myself ended like this? I still haven't seen another massage therapist. I've left it alone for years and even just didn't message her back while she messages me at least once a month for a couple of years asking me if I want to schedule. She messaged me today for some reason and replied with this back? Like girl just leave me alone. I'm not removing my comment. If you're embarrassed of how you conduct yourself behind your business name that's you. Again just leave me alone. I've blacked out your email, even though your contacting me through your "business" it should be aloud up. Your lucky I'm not posting the screenshots throughout the years with various names/emails. I was able to easily book and pay online about a week prior to the date of my massage. I had been referred by a friend of a friend who receives regular massages here. About 45 minutes before my scheduled time, I received a text asking me if I wanted to come a bit early since there was another client who had rescheduled. I arrived and was greeted in the lobby personally. As GeAnne entered the massage suite, she said "you're in for a treat." And that was no understatement. She worked on my tight muscles with just the right pressure. I especially loved the thorough deep tissue massage including my back, legs, arms, feet and neck. Ge Anne was so amazing! This tiny woman has mighty hands. With all the crazy things going on in this world, these times are stressful. The massage area was a relaxing ambiance, sanitary, and she wore her mask the entire time. G Anne was super pleasant, listened to what my problem areas were, executed my request perfectly. The total cost was much more affordable compared to major corporate spa places. Working in the mental health field my job has been extremely stressful, I have been too exhausted to do any self-care. (Can't tell you the last time I even did a face mask or dyed my hair) My neck has been beyond tense, and on a 1-10 scale, I was at a 10 pain level. In the room, relaxing music played, the massage bed was heated, the room was dim, and a place where I was finally able to unwind. She worked out my tense neck and my upper back, as requested. I had no idea how the stress was affecting my body until after the massage; more specifically my posture. Before the massage, I was hunched over with my shoulders constantly raised.
