I was initially going to buy the Groupon but I called ahead and their direct pricing was better! Don't buy the Groupon! Had an appointment for an 11 am massage for my husband and myself and since we were in the area we stopped by as soon as they opened to ask if they could get us in earlier. They were able to squeeze us in so I was extremely grateful. I will also mention that I am pregnant and they were able to accommodate me. My husband got the deep tissue massage ($55) and I got the combination massage ($50). We both enjoyed our massages very much. The environment is tranquil and the masseuses kept checking on us to ask about the pressure of the massage. My husband had some knots that they were able to dissolve and I also had some neck pain which was gone when I left. The hot stone and foot soak was very relaxing for us. I went in on a random Friday. My back was killing me and had time. I got the 30 min massage + 30 min ionic foot soak/rub + $5 deep tissue pressure. My favorite place is on Bell and i just didn't have the time to go there. I've been eyeballing this place for years and finally made took the plunge. The atmosphere is very similar to my Asian massage parlor spot in Bell. This one is partitioned into individual sections so it isn't an open room. The request you dress down to your undies which is common in many massage places. The lady who did my massage was very professional and asked severa times if the pressure was good. While I paid and asked for the deep tissue massage that is the only thing I would not do again. It simply wasn't anything different then a normal massage. Even though it was a 30 min massage they actually did a full body 60 min massage. Which i was grateful for. One odd thing. I used the restroom and to the right was a room with a full size mattress in it. No bed sheets on it. None of the other partitioned rooms had mattresses. They also had a Yelp check-in discount, so I called and to make her an appointment. The woman on the phone said the requested time was fine, but did not take a name or inquire about desired service. First, they would not accept her Yelp discount. That was fine because their prices appeared reasonable. My daughter then requested a deep tissue massage and pointed to the area that her neck / shoulder was most tender. She said the man who did her massage started by putting her feet in water. He then massaged her neck, but not the area she requested. When he moved on to her back, he went down her spine with his elbows and back up her spine with his palms. Ultimately, she did not get the massage she was looking for, but did say that he did an excellent foot massage and that her feet felt great when she left. I have been to many foot massage studios they are on like every block in Scottsdale. Not so common on the west side. I have probably been near this particular salon without even knowing it was there every week for the last two years. But I get extreme foot pain in the balls of my feet and I really needed some relief and discovered it was right around the corner from my house. I called first thing in the morning on Saturday and they were able to get me in right away. I opted to do the 60 minute foot massage for $40. First my feet were soaking, and the man who did my massage started with my scalp, then my neck, forearms and hands. After that it was a good solid 40 minutes on my calves and feet. There wasn't any reflexology per say but he did do a good job getting the little crunchies out of my foot pads and my foot pain is gone (for now!) I read some of the reviews and people were complaining about how this was not a nice salon but this is not a spa by any means and it's not intended to be. It also doesn't have spa prices! We had been going to this place for the last couple of years until my wife and I had an unfortunate experience. Are sessions where continuously interrupted (they had just opened) and where answering phones and checking in customers while trying to give us massages. When I brought this to their attention they just discounted us. Clearly they were under staffed We where willing to just chalk it up to a bad day until they insisted (fervently) that we "tip" them the normal. We where outraged and aghast. Both were professional, respectful and very mindful of my half naked body. I've had some massages other places where that wasn't the case. Here, I am at ease. We have been going here for years. Varying degrees of proficiency depending on who you get, but we've continued to take the gamble in the hopes of getting a relaxing massage. Last week we were there when they opened. They took us both in for our dual massages. Apparently no one else had showed up for work yet. Our massages were stopped and started, stopped and started to attend to additional people coming in, phone calls etc. Not at all relaxing. Prices had gone up, as they have most everywhere...we get it. When my husband stepped up to pay them he mentioned how disappointed we were in the services, there was no "sorry" or acknowledgement of the constant interruptions. Instead she was Insistent that coming and going throughout our sessions was no big deal. The gal taking our money then argued with us about the amount of our tip. Really? What in the world has happened with tipping? First of all we have always tipped commensurate with service and we did so here and were actually rebuked. We will not be returning here. Half assed and completely rushed. I called ahead and asked for someone who would provide the service I needed for him and asked several times for someone who could provide a good deep tissue massage. and not to use the towels because the stuff stained. I was waiting because I also wanted to finish cleaning my feet she asked us if we were ready because she was ready for us to pay. I asked if I could have something to finish wiping my feet and reluctantly she grabbed more paper towel and began rudely wiping my feet. I asked her if I could do it because I felt stuff everywhere. She gave it to me and left. It really was not a good experience. We tried taking pictures of our wanter and she was upset about us doing so because she was in a rush. I'm sure it's not always like this but this was our experience... she didn't end up checking us out another young man did instead. I think he ended up talking to her about her being rude because he pulled her to the side and then she didn't help us anymore. Really wanted to do the massage but didn't want to be a burden so we both ended up just doing the detox. It was both of our first time and didn't know what to do so that made this all a little harder.
