Not happy tonight. Been coming here for a while. Raise the prices by $15 and give me an inexperienced person for a deep massage and all she did was waste a lot of time rubbing lotion on and leaving the room several times. A lot of light rubbing. Literally was making me more tense. I had to tell her repeatedly to do it harder. Then they didn't even do my feet like they usually do no soaking no massage, I once again had to tell her and she did it half ass. Didn't even do my shoulders tons of tension, still in my shoulders and legs. I don't get to have a massage very often but when I do go, it's because I have a lot of pain and a lot of tension. Really disappointed. Most likely will look for a different location. If you go here, you need to let them know what you want before you go back there and tell them you don't want nobody inexperienced. read more

Not good. Wasted $120 on an overpriced body rub. I said I needed a strong male, but got someone very weak. I confirmed over the phone 3x that I need a male masseur and someone strong. Your best male is what I said. Got there and a female was preparing the massage. I said I asked for male over the phone for the 2nd time. Then 5 mins later a female comes back again. For the 3rd time, I scheduled for a male. Then she calls an another masseur 10 minutes later and he arrives. What a waste of my money and time. I really wanted to stop the massage after 30 minutes because there was no deep tissue only body rub. I asked for hard and he must've not understood. I still have knots and tension all over my body. Would not come back for that masseur again. Just scheduled another massage with another place to try to get a real massage. I let the lady know at the front it wasn't good and she just nodded. The massage is really good. The service is good the pressure can be hard the first time but the more you do the service you get used too it. The rooms are private but they are separated by a curtain which could be an issue for some people but I didn't mind. They offer oils for extra and I would recommend. Okay listen, this was a very memorable but traumatic experience. The "room" did not feel private like AT ALL. It was like being in a hospital and having to share a room with another patient. Just a curtain to separate you from everyone else. I was relieved when I read the sign that said clothes were to remain on except for men, who were allowed to go shirtless. This is where things got weird though: Halfway through my massage the masseuse (male) started unhooking my bra and pulling the straps down off my shoulders. He proceeded to tell me to lift my arms up so he could take the straps completely off. I was taken aback by all this but I knew my partner was right next to me and the masseuse would've been an idiot to try anything funny. Either way, it freaked me out and made me super uncomfortable! I was relieved when the back massage was over but of course, he helped me put the straps back on and fastened my bra so the relief I felt was short lived. I still get freaked out when I think about. The massage itself was superb and one of the best deep tissue massages I've ever had. He used tons of pressure (how I like it) to get the knots out of my shoulders and lower back. If it wasn't for that traumatizing bra fiasco, I would definitely return. read more

Prices here are a little on the high comparable to others more so than others. I wish I had asked for the man who massaged me the first time. This place was a nice surprise. I was looking for a place to get a foot massage for a great price and this was it. You walk in and it's a very small waiting room. When they take you back through a door everything is dim with a green light. It's very quiet and rooms are separated by curtains. I got a 60min foot massage which included a quick massage to my forehead, head, and arms before starting the feet. My feet and lower legs were massaged the whole time with lotion, some hot stones, and warm rags. The people were very professional and friendly. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love this place! I used to go on a weekly basis towards the end of my pregnancy for a foot massage because my feet were so sore and swollen (contrary to what people say, it did not affect my pregnancy negatively). Really weak "deep tissue" massage. Went in with back and neck stiffness and left feeling pretty much the exact same. Wholly dissatisfying. Location was fine and clean. Went for a couples massage and it was so horrible. - my massager kept farting - the two girls kept laughing - they put way to much oil on me and laughed and i said "wow" and the girl literally told me "BE QUIET" - both girls made us feel like they were being so rough that they were trying to hurt us - at one point my entire bare bottom was exposed we go to leave and our bill it $103... for two massages, we believed it was going to be $70, but if they charged for deep tissue than it would be $90... so we didn't tip. the front desk woman literally said "no tip?" and we said your tip is your up-charge and we left. Upon entering our car the massagers walked to try and ask for a tip... I want to first state that I am a member at another massage studio and I go there once or twice a month. Sometimes I need an appointment same-day and they are all booked up. I have gone to this place as a backup on two or three occasions because I can just walk in -- no appointment necessary. I found out about this place because it's close to Sprouts Farmer's Market. This is an Asian massage studio but it's not one of those shady kinds. This place is legit. This is not like the massage studio that I usually go to however. There are no separate rooms. Instead everything is in one big room with curtains surrounding each massage table, similar to what you might find in a hospital room. You don't take your clothes off but men have the option to remove their shirts and women can wear a sports bra, according to the signs I saw. As for a regular massage, it's okay. Prices are very reasonable. I have some lower back problems as well as tightness in my shoulders and personally I prefer my regular place for treating that. Normally that wouldn't warrant a review, but I'd like to tell you why I'm providing one. One night my wife and I went to Sprouts and I saw a sign for this place advertising a one-hour foot massage for $30. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and heel spurs which makes walking painful at times. I've tried to get massages at my regular place and while the overall experience there is good, their foot massages are so-so depending on who I see. There are (or were, not sure if they're still there) two reflexology places offering foot massages inside Arrowhead Towne Center and I've been to both and were not impressed. So I decided to give this place a try. I got there right when they opened on Sunday and waited for a bit to talk to someone. I could hear women taking in the back but nobody came out so I decided to leave. I was about to get into my car and when a lady from inside chased me down and said they were open. I went back inside and told her what I was looking for. She took me back and handed me off to a massage therapist. She provided a bucket of hot water to soak my feet in and motioned me to lie back and relax. She went away for a bit then came back and started massaging my face and scalp. I was starting to wonder if she thought I wanted a different kind of massage but I didn't think she spoke English, and I had a bit of a headache and it felt good so I didn't say anything and just let her work. She worked on my arms and hands and then moved onto my feet. This is the reason I'm writing this review. The foot massage I received was the best I ever had. First of all, she worked all my trouble areas for quite some time but just in general it just felt amazing. My feet have always been rather sensitive but this was one of the most pleasurable experiences I've had. Once she finished working on my feet, she worked on my legs a bit. I was wearing jeans so there was only so much she could do but when she was done I felt refreshed and my feet didn't hurt anymore. I tipped her $10 and went on my way. I have to say based on prior experience I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived here but I came away extremely satisfied and am looking forward to coming back soon. read more

First time I went here, I had the BEST massage I've ever had at this price point ($40 for an hour, very inexpensive in my opinion). I think the therapist's name was Wendy? She rivaled massages I've gotten for twice the price. It was heavenly. The second time? Not so much. The first half hour just felt like someone rubbing in lotion on my legs and feet, pleasant enough, but not really a massage. And he spent an inordinate amount of time rubbing my knee caps? Not the muscles around the knee, the cap itself? When he got to my back he also really zoned in on the bones and didn't rub the muscles... it was kinda painful and not in a good way. When he got to my shoulder area he mostly just pressed on them in a way that forced my trachea into the table. Hard to relax during a massage when you can't breathe. I left feeling the same tightness in my neck and shoulders as when I came in, now with the added discomfort of bruises developing at the base of my spine. He just didn't seem to have a good understanding of the muscle groups in the body and how they connect. This place seems to be pretty hit or miss, if you get a good therapist, it's worth way more than you pay, if not, well... try again next time I guess? read more

This place is the bomb! This was my first time at sunshine relaxation and I did not know what to expect. First off it was a little difficult to communicate with them because English is not their first language but that does not matter to me as they did a great job on my one hour massage. Just a note to yourself when you go in, you don't lay on your stomach you lay on your back - that is how the massage begins and that was my first mistake. But once the gentleman began to massage my back, I forgot about everything! The massage was so awesome that I will definitely be back again - especially at the prices they charge - very reasonable! First time experience here and I can't wait to come back! They were able to accommodate two 90 minute sessions for my boyfriend and I without an appointment on a weekend. We both chose 60min back/30 minute foot. My therapist Charlie did a phenomenal job with his pressure and flow. Being an LMT myself I like to see how other therapists work and Charlie has a great technique. If you prefer firm and consistent pressure I highly recommend him! The tables are separated by curtains and you do hear some shuffling of feet and other client movement, but it is very minimal and didn't take away from my session at all. You are able to remain clothed. I would suggest leggings or gym shorts since those remain on during the whole session and is more comfortable. The back/foot massage was excellent. Lots of muscle stripping and stretching. This was not a fluff and buff by any means. If you have not received bodywork in a long time, I suggest scheduling a session here! Charlie got me back to feeling like I had more fluid muscle movement and blood flow. He applied just enough pressure to get muscles that were adhered together moving separately again. I would compare his technique to sports style massage. Just deep enough that you aren't sore the next day, but you get the relief you need. Like I said before I cannot wait to go back!
