My best friend came to town to celebrate her 40th birthday, and we wanted to pamper ourselves as she was struggling a bit with this birthday. I looked at SEVERAL places to try and get massages at the same time. I couldn't figure out the online booking, so we just booked at separate times. When Carrie called to ask about the duplicate booking, I explained what I was trying to do, and she was amazing at booking us! All of this fantastic service was before the massages! When we showed up for the appointment, the atmosphere was already set from the moment the door opened, and both Carrie and Leandra were pretty epic! I am 100% going to be utilizing Desert Sage Bodywork for my future self-care needs, and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much for everything today!

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I arrived early for my 2:15 appointment and was left sitting by the front desk. While waiting, I overheard my massage therapist, Ami, being told I was there. Her response was, "My who is here?" followed by, "She scheduled an appointment under her name for someone else, that's really weird." I then heard them continue discussing me and my girlfriend more quietly. When they finally came up front, I told Ami I had heard everything. She apologized repeatedly and said, "I've had a long day, but that's no excuse." I agreed--it wasn't an excuse. My girlfriend was simply trying to do something thoughtful for me. I left without getting the massage and thankfully wasn't charged. Completely unprofessional and an awful way to treat a new client. I won't be returning.

Being in pain every day can really take a toll on you both mentally and physically, but there are treatments that can make it have less of an impact in your day to day life. If you are looking for a great massage therapist who knows what they are doing, I highly recommend Cho Yao. He has certifications in various therapeutic techniques and knows how to relieve the issues you may be suffering from. In addition to massage, he also offers treatments like cupping and hot stones and his prices are very reasonable compared to the chains like Elements or Massage Envy. Honestly, he is a miracle worker and has really helped in reducing my every day pain and has greatly reduced the frequecy and severity of the muscle spasms that I suffer from. It can be really difficult to find a qualified therapist that knows how to effectively treat the issues you are dealing with. I highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering from issues that massage therapy can alleviate and help you live a life in less pain and drastically improve your quality of life.

I expected to receive a call back the next morning or sometime in the afternoon. Well dad to say, it's been 3 months and I still have not received a call. I will most definitely not recommend this place. Poor customer service. You won't even get a call back, who knows how good this place actually is. I will never know and I mostly definitely don't want to now. I will go elsewhere in the future. This is a no way for me.

I cannot speak highly enough about Rosie and her massage practice: Hands From Above. I moved to Arizona four years ago and never found a massage therapist I wanted to return to. Most likely it was because I was scouring Groupon for "deals" and waiting weeks for an appointment for a mediocre massage. It's true--you get what you pay for. A few months ago, I was experiencing severe muscle tightness and decided to look for a highly-reviewed massage therapist on Yelp. Rosie lived up to her rave reviews. She's a true professional and I really felt the difference after my sessions. Last week, I aggravated an old shoulder injury and lost most of the use of my right arm--and I'm right-handed. I was able to book a 6 AM appointment with Rosie and she handled the injury with expertise and care. She followed up with preventative stretches for me and gave me sound advice. Within two days, I was 90% better. By the 3rd day, there was no trace of pain in the joint and I had full use of my arm. A doctor would have given me pain pills and a sling. Rosie addressed the root cause of my issue. If you're serious about augmenting your self-care with regular massage, you owe it to yourself to be treated by the best. Make an appointment with Rosie--you won't regret it.

The biggest issue was my interaction with the manager, Megan. Her attitude was incredibly unprofessional, and the way she spoke to me made me feel completely dismissed rather than helped. As a manager, I expected her to know how to communicate with customers and handle concerns professionally, but unfortunately, that was not my experience at all. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was the way I witnessed her speaking to and treating employees. The atmosphere felt tense and unwelcoming, and it was shocking to see that kind of behavior coming from someone in a management position. I came to a spa expecting a relaxing, positive experience and instead left frustrated and uncomfortable. Good customer service starts with management, and based on my experience with Megan, this location seriously fell short. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a welcoming or professionally managed spa. If I had the option for negative stars I would.
