I went back to this place after a couple of years away. The process is pretty straightforward. Sign up for an appointment online. Get there a little early (especially if it is your first time so they can go through the orientation). Get into your room, put earplugs in, shower, and then head into the pods. Th experience in the pods differ for everyone. Once you calm down enough, and are floating in the middle, it is quite the experience. It's like being transported to space. An hour in the pod is enough time to destress after a long day or week. As someone who has anxiety, sitting in a dark pod can be triggering a bit. They do have light options in the pod, which do help. However my experience this time was a couple of moments of spasms and a few moments of calming myself down. Worse comes to worse you can al and sit up or keep the pod hatch open the whole time too. But the experience is a lot better with it dark and closed. I had the membership years ago. It takes a few floats to get used to the experience,but it was well worth it. Price is a bit on the high side, but that's to be expected. If you have time every month, the membership is worth it. But a float every once in a while is worthwhile. read more

I was visiting my friend who now lives in Arizona. We were out having some girl fun and stumbled across this spa. We went inside to see what kind of wellness services that they provided. We both signed up for the 20 minute water massage and oxygen bar machine. Both are great experiences. The oxygen bar is good if you are dealing with sinus issues. The water massage benefits helps stimulate blood circulation, reduces inflammation and helps with the flexibility in your muscles. I was well relax and appreciated this experience. Very disappointed to write this review. We originally went in for a couples float special, personally I didn't find the experience amazing but my husband did. After speaking with the owner she convinced us about the monthly membership and with hesitation I encouraged my husband it would be great for him. Because of life, and moving 30 min away he missed 6 sessions in a row before cancelling his membership. He didn't mention it to me immediately but he was told all 6 of his sessions were just lost and didn't stack on to the next months. I couldn't believe it so I called, the owner once super sweet and helpful referred me to the contract. I told her we had moved further away and it had been less convenient and she told me he could have used it at any location, lies I specifically remember her telling us it would only be at this location. She goes on to tell me she would look for the contract and call me back. Never did, only emailed the contract to my husband. Where I found that we were limited to that location. I really don't know why the trouble of refusing him to use his paid for 6 sessions, every time we'd been to this location there were always rooms available. Terrible customer service, truly such a sad experience and waste of $360 (6 x $59.99). Not even Burke Williams has a terrible policy like this. I'd love to get a call back from the owner and I'd love for her to make it right. Very interesting place and I definitely want to give it another try! Came here on my birthday a couple months ago and it was cool. They have you watch a video on safety instructions and what to expect before going into your float. From first hand experience, don't take the high salt concentration lightly haha! If you have cuts or irritated skin, either don't float or use the petroleum jelly they provide to cover them. And keep the water out of your eyes! Omg I got some in my eye by accident and it was so painfully! It was hard for me to relax, it's a very odd feeling and next time I would request playing music the whole time, it seemed to relax me more than the music cutting out after 10 minutes. My FAVORITE part has to be the oxygen bar. It is so fun and relaxing. You can pick from serval different flavors and the staff provide water or tea to go along with it. Now that I know what to expect, i would love to try it again and potentially get the membership. Super good for spiritual healing! read more

My mom was the one who convinced me to visit this place with her during a spring special they were running during the end of March. Honestly, the premise is interesting and as someone who has a fair amount of stress in life, finding new ways to de-stress is always welcome. I tried my best to get into the experience, but found myself not liking it as much as I wanted to. My mom felt the same way I did. Basically, you float in a shallow pool of REALLY salty water for an hour. They make you watch a video before your float about what to do and everything. I tried my best to get into it; but I just couldn't. I did my best to stay in the pool for the full hour, but I only lasted 40 minutes. The smell of the super salty water made me feel nauseous. I found out that my mom also left the pool early like I did since it made her feel nauseous as well. I can see the appeal for other people, but I definitely won't be trying it again. read more

One year (minus 11 days) later - still 5 stars. In the last year I have gone through months of multiple floats a week, to taking a couple months off. This is the best stress reliever, helps me relax and recenter. Personally, I can't plan for floats in advance. I find when I do, the quality of my float isn't great. I will usually have a hard day or really feel the need to float so I will book an appointment later in the day. There have only been a handful of times there hasn't been an opening. There always seems to be new clients when I go it so it looks like more and more people are trying it, which is awesome. All of the employees are friendly and welcoming. It's always a good time to float. I've been floating here for just over a year and it's a different experience every time. I have felt the benefits and love the way I feel after floating. The effects last for a few days and maybe longer for some. The first 10-20 minutes is where you struggle to let go. Once you let go of letting go you will experience the awesomeness of floating. I'm sure there are some scientific facts about floating but I feel happier and relaxed after floating for sure. The oxygen bar is really nice after or before the float. I prefer to do it before to fill my body with oxygen and it seems to help my float experience. They also have an aqua massage machine that is different than your traditional massage but very effective. I highly recommend stopping in and taking a tour of the place. read more

Ok so I have never tried anything like this before and I was a little nervous after reading some stories on the internet of people's experiences not in any particular place just the float experience which had me a little nervous. I walk in and am greeted right away by a very nice girl who explained everything to me and made sure to answer my questions, she then took me on a little tour of the front half of the place and had me change my shoes into to some flip flops and walked me into a room with lounging chairs to watch a video on the float and what to do and not do, followed by a video with spa music and visuals to relax I believe her name was Katlyn very nice girl. Another woman then took over I believe her name was Martha who took me on the tour of where the pods are and showed me the post float room that has deodorant hair dryers Q tips, then into the float room, where there is a shower with shampoo body wash and conditioner and the pod. She explained step by step what to do, so I showered slipped into my bathing suit and put in the ear plugs and into the pod. Ok so I get in close the pod and lay in the water and start thinking to myself what am I doing lol, I remember what the video says count your breathing and let go and relax, I start to count my breathing and next thing I know I open my eyes and think to myself did I fall asleep? How much time has passed? So I just lay there and then hear the start of spa music which she had told me is a warning sound for float is over, so I stretch, get out rinse off and get dressed. I then go into another room where I drink water and have some oxygen, I felt so at ease so relaxed. I get home and I'm so sleepy, I do get up at 330am so not to unusual for me to be tired but I was SLEEPY, so I go to bed, now those who know me know I have trouble sleeping and am one who wakes up all the time, not last night! TIP: Plan for 2.5 hours, at a minimum, if you are going to do a one hour float. It takes a lot longer than you expect. If you have never been to a salt float spa before, this is something that is definitely worth checking out. I actually tried it because I had a Groupon, and at the group Groupon price, I would definitely suggest anyone try it at least once. To be completely honest, it was not for me, and I probably will not go back at the regular price, but I am glad to have tried it, and I can definitely see how others really love it. It didn't feel all that relaxing for me because I have a really hard time getting my brain to shut down and just hold still and relax. And this is something that they tell you about in an instructional video that you watch before you get started: they say some people just can't let go and just relax, and that for some people it takes more than one float to settle into that Zen state. I sure didn't get there. However, it was very comfortable, and enjoyable. I just could not blank out my mind and totally relax. Here's how the experience goes: you have to check in a full 30 minutes before your scheduled float time. You sign a waiver, and then you will be seated in comfy chairs to wait until everyone else is checked in. Five or six people can go into their own individual pods/rooms at a time, but they walk you through all the instructional videos and start everyone at the same time, so you start out together but then go into very private rooms to do your float. After you watch a short instructional video, you are given a quick tour of the pod/private room, and the rest of the facilities that you may use. They then put you into your own individual private room. Inside the room, there is a private shower with shampoo, body wash, and conditioner provided. They also provide you with a towel and washcloth, earplugs to wear in your ears while you float, and a small packet of Vaseline to use to cover any small cuts or anything like that that you might have. When you are getting into extremely salty water, you definitely want to make sure anything that would sting is covered up with the Vaseline. I found a small cut on my leg that I did not know that I had immediately when I stepped into the water! You take a quick rinse before getting into your pod. You have the ability to control the light/color and the music from inside the pod. For first timers, they play a set music and light program for the first five minutes to help you settle in, but you can turn it off altogether if you want. There's also an intercom inside the pod which you could use to communicate with the attendant if you needed to at any time. And then you just... Float! It's very hard to describe, but the water is super, super thick and slippery feeling. You don't have a choice but to float... So it feels a bit like being weightless or in space. It is very comfortable, and they say many people fall asleep in the pod. I'm quite certain I could never fall asleep, because my brain just will not stop running. But, even if you don't get into a super Zen state and or/fall asleep it is comfortable and fun to just float around. In the last five minutes of your time, they play some more music to alert you that the time is almost up. You get out of the pod, rinse off, and get dressed. They have a small room where you can go to get ready after floating, if you needed to dry your hair or put make up on or anything. Then, you head out to the lounge area, where they have tea or water available for you, and you can also purchase minutes at their oxygen bar. Here's where I was pretty frustrated, and the reason why I'm only giving four stars instead of five. There's only one attendant, and that person is responsible for checking out five or six people at the same time as checking in five or six new people. So that means after you've had this nice relaxing experience, and you're ready to just make your way home, you have to sit and wait in line until this one poor girl can get to you. Don't get me wrong, she was hustling and doing her best to take everybody at once, but one person cannot get 12 different people situated by herself, all at once. People arriving, and needed signed in, people had questions as they were trying to get into their pod, people wanted to buy oxygen bar minutes, and I was just wanting to check out and go home. And then of course, she supposed to talk to each person about buying a membership she checks them out. So between having to arrival 30 minutes before your float, and waiting quite a long while afterward to check out, I ended up being at the place somewhere between 2.5 to 3 hours. Even if I thought I could totally relax and get into The float, I probably wouldn't go back because I don't have three hours to spare to do something like this. On the other hand, if you went into it expecting to be there for three hours maybe it wouldn't be so bad. I'm glad I got to try it out anyway! read more

I was really scared when I first went to the pod, I was afraid I was going freak out. My only wish is that they would have left the music on for the entire first float. I found myself relaxing more with the music then with my own anxiety and anxious thoughts. Unfortunately I had turned off the lights in the pod so I couldn't find the button to push the intercom.
