My first interaction at the True REST Float Spa Gilbert was with Steven. He was very welcoming and explained the process very thoroughly. He answered all my questions and provided helpful advice. The float rooms are very clean, well equipped, comfortable, and pleasant to be in. My only suggestion would be for larger towels and provide 2--1 for body, 1 for hair. I did bring my own, so I had enough. I enjoyed the relaxing environment and felt at ease with the staff and the other members. I tried the scented oxygen, and although I didn't experience any noticeable effect, I will try it again with a different infusion. There was absolutely no pressure to start a membership, although the terms are very reasonable and flexible. So I opted to apply my Groupon price toward the first month and will have my boyfriend try it. read more

This was my first float today. I have a lot of joint pain & pain in my shoulder and neck plus I'm one of those people who can't shut my brain down and relax. It was a bit difficult trying to leave my mind in a restful state, but eventually throughout the session I was able to. I kept the lid down, no music & no light. When I got out, I physically crawled out as my body was so incredibly relaxed! I enjoyed the eucalyptus oxygen at the oxygen bar following my float with a comforting cup of hot tea. Why not 5 stars? It was noisy in the studio room while watching the intro video & in the relaxation room after the float where the oxygen bar is. I think it would be a benefit if they added a piece to the video explaining the sanitation in between guests. Everyone wants to know they're not sitting in someone else's salty water. Great experience from start to finish. They really took time to show us around and explain the experience before we began. I do have to say it was pretty difficult for me to stay still for the entire hour, but it helped me realize I need to relax more and work on learning how to meditate. It was beyond relaxing and the aftercare portion was amazing. They gave us a free oxygen bar experience as we were first timers and allowed us to write in journals after to describe our experience. I would highly recommend it and definitely go again. Prices were a bit high but compare to a massage or facial service which is equally relaxing. read more

Hubby and I each bought a Groupon and thought we'd try a float since we've heard so many intriguing things. I was really looking forward to relaxing! The spa is very serene and beautifully appointed. The staff checked us in and let us know she'd already redeemed our Groupon . We had a little tour and were escorted to our rooms. After I had undressed and was just about to jump in the shower, the staff member started knocking on my door and telling me through the door that there was a problem. I wrapped a towel around myself and answered the door. She made a mistake, the previous couple she had checked out with Groupon, and although she found my husbands, she couldn't find mine and wondered if I was at the right location. A conversation ensued, and because my hubby was already pretty much in his float pod, I suggested I sort out the Groupon after my float and would obviously pay for the service if I had made an error as I really did not wish to be standing naked in a towel trying to figure this out. I might also add my phone is Canadian and I require wifi to log into my Groupon which they were unable to allow me access to their wifi. I commenced my float. And try as I might to relax.....my mind just kept going back to wondering what the issue was with my Groupon....therefore, the relaxation went out door. by the last ten minutes I was just anxiously waiting for it to end so I could sort out the issue. Once out and hot spotting off my husbands cell which has a better data plan....we confirmed I was at the correct location and had a valid Groupon. We both agreed one hour was too long.....we both agreed we are very glad we did not pay full price for this . It's just too bad the staff member did not discover her computer glitch with the Groupon before I was undressed and had to interrupt me. I understand technology has its flaws, however this was not well handled if full relaxation is the goal of your experience here. I understand it may take several floats to learn to relax, however this experience has left me feeling my money would be better spent on a relaxing massage . I have friends who swear by floats....but for my husband and I , it just wasn't relaxing enough to justify the cost read more

I wrote a review last year after a wonderful float experience at True Rest Gilbert. I live in the UK and travel to the US several times each year. My jet lag was normally pretty bad with an 8 hour time difference, but after floating it was almost non existent. I was back in the US recently and visited the float spa in Gilbert the day after I landed. The staff were so friendly and remembered me from last time. The float was relaxing and I adjusted to US time very quickly and slept well the following few nights. I visited the float spa again on my way to the airport to fly home. I had a great experience, but the biggest thing was how it helped me adjust back to UK time. I had almost no jet lag and slept well when I got home. This has happened on my last 2 trips and I have no doubt the float reduced the jet lag significantly. I will visit True Rest in Gilbert on my next US visit and recommend it to anyone. It is very relaxing and the positive effects are way better than I expected. read more

I've been in constant chronic pain since 2008 and, after trying everything to get out of pain without success, I went into my float without any expectations. I spoke to Earle on the phone and Steven at the location and they were both knowledgeable, kind, encouraging and very welcoming. Both men seemed to believe in the benefits of the float and didn't come off as employees with a job to do but more guides to help me get comfortable with the idea of the float and it put me at ease. The room itself has everything you might need for this experience. Steven showed me the steps to follow, pointed out the earplugs and towels. One is a washcloth and is available to wipe away salt water during the soak to avoid salt in the eyes. He showed me where to keep it so it was available and where it wouldn't get wet. I was happy to have it during the soak and wiped my face a couple of times and never experienced salt in my eyes, thankfully! They were smart to think of this! The room was very clean, the shower got warm quickly. They had all the shampoo, conditioner and wash on the wall in a dispenser. They require that you shower and wash your hair and body but hold off on the conditioner until after the experience and experience it was! I loved it! The water temperature in the pod was perfect and I quickly felt comfortable. Steven had shown me the controls before we started so I knew that, if I needed anything, I could push the monitor to talk to him from the pod. There was also a button to control light inside of the pod, all colors soothing and soft. There was a third button but I can't remember what that one is for. All buttons were easy to find in the dark but I did select a light color to float by. Steven told me I would know the float was over by the jets being turned on in the pod. There's no voice to break the mood, just gentle bubbles indicating the experience was ending. I took another shower to remove the salt and then entered another room that had hair dryers, disposable combs, and q-tips. Here you can reapply makeup, whatever you want. The float was glorious. No cell phones, no one needing mom and NO PAIN! I knew I would have at least an hour without pain but didn't expect it to last after the float was over, but it did. Amazingly, it did. Earle set me up with hot tea and the oxygen bar when I was done and I sat and relaxed without pain. I had no pain for an additional hour and reduced pain for the evening. I had a shock this morning when I opened my eyes and didn't feel the horrible pain that has haunted me since 2008! I was shocked, completely shocked. Steven suggested that I plan more floats as soon as I can to try to expand the results and I agreed. There was no pressure but I did join a membership. I am hoping for a change in the pain level in my life and this one experience has given me hope! I feel so lucky to have tried True Rest! My results have been nothing short of amazing! My first visit was amazing. I love the feeling of buoyancy as I floated in the pod. I felt weightless and imagined this must be what it is like when you are in space with no gravity pulling you down. I felt all my worries float away. My body felt tingly, invigorated, and energized. I felt as if I floated out of the facility. And one day later I am still in a calm , euphoric, gentle space . L'aurabee was fantastic! She was patient walking my cousin and I through the process of the float. She explained the benefits, the possible results and her experiences with it and how much she loves it. Her pleasant demeanor and calming personality helped relax our minds and prepared us for the following float. She also sat down with us after our floats and discussed our time in the pods. As for the float itself, my body felt so light and relaxed during the float. I could finally feel the tension leave my shoulders and lower back- my problem areas. This was my first (and definitely not the last!) time ever trying float therapy but I have read good things about the multitude of benefits. I purchased a LivingSocial deal to try it out. I came in on a Monday evening and there were 2 other people who had an appointment around the same time. The woman at the front desk (L'AuraBee) acknowledged us as soon we walked in and ensured we felt welcome. We talked a little bit about the process and then were led to a dark room with reclining chairs to watch a quick introduction video. As soon as I set down in that chair, I felt a relaxation that would end up lasting for hours. We then went and took a quick tour of one of the rooms to review what to do once we get in; and went to our respective private rooms. The atmosphere and lighting in the actual pod room were so nice and calming. Everything looked brand new and definitely had that spa touch. I was a little nervous going in and the nice ambient music that was played for the first couple of minutes in the pod really helped dispel any worries and get into the proper relaxed state. The actual float experience was unlike I've ever felt before! It was great. I mostly stayed still, listening to the sound of my own breathing and heart beat, but at times I found it amusing to float from side to side of the pod and I really enjoyed that. I was a little worried that I would get bored after an entire hour but actually when the music came back on (signaling the hour is over), I caught myself feeling like I would have liked to stay in a little longer. After a shower, we stuck around for a few minutes at the oxygen bar and L'AuraBee brought out a yummy tea as well. Once I came home, I went straight to bed and had a very deep and fulfilling night of sleep with some interesting dreams. I was blown away! To be honest I thought this was just a place in a strip mall that could offer some relaxation. That couldn't be further from the truth. Yes, it is in a strip mall, and yes you can get relaxation but the staff here is incredible! My son has a movement disorder and has been asking me to take him here, so I finally set up an appointment. One thing is they have always been able to fit him in. Secondly once you walk in you immediately are whisked away into a calm, relaxed environment. All staff members have this calming soothing voice that just puts you at ease right away. The first visit the staff spoke to me about my son's disorder to get to know him and his needs. I even stayed after and the owner talked to me and gave me some suggestions. They really care and want to help with whatever ails you. I would recommend this place to anyone to give it a try. read more
