I was excited to try this place. It is quite spacious, lofty and roomy place. Liked the overall ambiance of this place. Started off with edamame dumpling - felt something was missing but quite a healthy option. I ordered Thai peanut noodle bowl - it was spicy but I added extra sriracha for my spicy standard. But the eggs were pretty much burnt - which did put me off and the whole bowl flavour got spoiled because of burnt egg taste!! Especially if you are paying so much! Had a very lovely dinner here on a Sunday evening. Easy to get to and find parking as it's within a mall location. The ambiance was very cheerful, bright and open. The waitstaff gave us plenty of time to look over our options and ordered a glass of wine. Unfortunately for my friend, her first choice wasn't chilled and they didn't have her second choice. I had a lovely glass of their Crime of Passion drink -prairie organic vodka, cappelletti aperitivo, passion fruit, lime, elderflower-rhubarb foam. For dinner, I got the double veggie burger on a gluten free bun with a kale salad side. It was very tasty but the gluten free bun was very dry and hard and made the burger a bit difficult to eat. My friend got the the tuna poke bowl and due to some allergies had to make a special request on some of the items in the bowl which they were very accomodating. I love going to true food kitchen! I always feel so healthy ordering anything off the menu because the ingredients are always . The drinks are also the best. The space is pretty large. You dont have to worry about being cramped next to another table. Always very open and airy. I went recently and had Adriel again as my server. You can tell he is a really good egg . Always so kind and thoughtful in his recommendations (don't think I've disliked anything he recommended). I once ordered a tuna bowl and they did not have any more tuna and he recommended the salmon and it was . Will continue to patron this place cause it's just that good! read more

So happy to find healthy food places around! We went around 4pm and we were surprised to see the crowd at that time. The interiors are cute and charming. We started with corn flatbread which was great! Crispy, wafer like light and flavourful. I ordered my usual salmon and I'm so happy that it was not just healthy but tasty as well. I love well cooked Salmon! Not flooded with sauces and garnishing. Mr. ordered the panang curry , we liked it but did not love it as much. I still love True Food Kitchen. For reals. The menu is seasonal so some items rotate but I've never had anything bad here. I love how local, fresh and veggie forward many of their dishes are. Some ingredients are local and organic while others aren't but still fresh and healthy! I do think their portions are too small for the price they charge. This place isn't cheap. One of the best spots if you're on a health kick, don't eat processed foods and want a genuinely healthy meal outside your home. read more

I wish I could give this place a better review as I love the concept, but time and time again it's been really horrendous. The service is just awful. Always super slow, entrees come staggered, always missing something or getting something wrong. My final straw was the last time I went and I had almost finished my salad only to find a piece of a rubber glove in my food. The worst part is, the manager came over and said we'll take the burger off the bill. Really?!! I used to be a GM and I would have comped the whole meal for that type of negligence. That was my last straw. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else. The execution of this place is just awful. Everything I've had was delicious, including my most recent visit, where I enjoyed a recently added menu item.. True Crisp'd Tenders, with a fauxijto. The kale slaw was delicious to the last bite, and the awesome sauce (ketchup, mayo, lemon juice) was a great compliment to the crispy tenders! Stacy was very attentive and friendly, and the bar seating is very roomy.. my favorite place to sit, honestly. Came here for HH with a friend and they have a nice decent selection to choose from for food and cocktails. Upon walking in, I just loved the vibe here - very light and airy which fits the theme of the food. Also very spacious, clean and easy to find parking. They have many organic options even for the cocktails which is always nice, I definitely feel less guilty lol. We tried the Dip Duo, Chicken Street Tacos, Meatloaf Sliders, Chili Cuke Crunchers and the Rose Sangria. Everything was pretty tasty and I love the HH prices. From ordering to getting food, there was a long wait. I was ok with this since I wasn't looking for fast food per se. 2. We made a reservation but still had to wait over 10 minutes. There seemed to be a few empty tables so not sure what the rationale is. I was also fine with this overall. Also another couple who came in were told the wait was over an hour. 3. Food can be a little spicy (for people who can't really take the heat) like the Hawaiian fried rice and ancient grains bowl so water was key. The fried rice was really unique. 4.
