Just meh! That is the only way I can explain my experience here today. My friend and I arrived around 12:30 for lunch on a Monday. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, but healthily busy. We were told to sit anywhere we like. We waited for awhile for our server to come greet us, take our order and serve us drinks and give us silverware. Once we placed our order we waited, and waited and waited for our food. She ordered soup and a few appetizers, I ordered a simple gyro. Approximately 25 minutes later her food arrived and the server had to ask me, what my order was. When my gyro finally came, what a sorry gyro it was. It was literally 2 slabs of dry meat grilled and wrapped in the pita bread with the fixings. It was so dry I didnt finish it. It was like cardboard in my mouth. It wasn't succulent shaved meat that i typically associate gyros to have. Between the long wait time to receive our food and the disappointing presentation and execution of the food, I am not excited to return anytime soon. read more

Alrighty so... I have been twice now. Both times were delicious and a fantastic memory! Both times I was was with my brother in law and his partner and other bro Danny. Everybody enjoys the food, it is all very good. The outside patio is where we choose to sit. The ambience, the brick walls, the Fresh air and people watching as well as ( on weekends ) the live music is just super! This last time it was Mikey's birthday, the live music is actually for bar cava next door but we had the best view and sound! Afterwards we spoke with him and he since sent us his album via email and a special happy birthday song for Mikey! Shout out Eli Moody! ( he is really fantastic! The feel in DT Martinez has such a positive influence on me, we are really becoming such a destination! Our dining experience was somewhat unpleasant. We waited 40 minutes to get our appetizer, calamari, and I think it was sitting for a bit cause it wasn't hot. Then we got our entrees about 5 minutes later and our waitress completely forgot 1 of them and had to put the order in late. It was only 3 of us at the table....while we were eating and waiting for the 3rd entree about 15 minutes or so, we told them to cancel the 3rd entree and we asked for the check. I am a big fan of their sauces and I appreciate them being generous with those during my take out orders. Their lamb is my favorite. Always tender and full of flavor. I was finally able to make it down to Troy for a quick dinner with the wife. It was crazy busy per usual but the service was not bad. That was my concern after reading many other reviews and constantly saying how busy it was when we were downtown. But the girl who was the waitress did a good job of checking in with us, making sure our water was filled, all the while working it seemed like the entire restaurant. I got the gyro which was something I had been craving and it was really good. The meat, the seasoning specifically, was great. This is another restaurant with plenty of options for the health conscious which I always appreciate. I would say the prices are doable, but slightly more expensive than I would've wanted for the amount and quality, although both are not bad. Just not quite a 5 star place for me! That being said it is a fun environment and a beautiful space that has been renovated. Next time I want to try the Greek coffee, wine or beers. All sounded good! read more

Such a fun date night spot! I went once prior to quarantine and enjoyed it so I had to drag my boyfriend over. Both times we've went together we got it to go. The first time everything came out really hot and crispy. This time we asked them over the phone to hold off on making it because we wouldn't be in the area for a while. The Kalamata Olives are always a grab, just a nice flavor burst. I really enjoy the feta in olive oil too. We usually get the calamari and that has really nice flavor. Not a fan of its dipping/marinara like sauce. Forgot to grab a pic but we usually get the garlic fries and the only issue with that one is when we get to go all the garlic falls to the bottom. So again - probably better dine in. And my boyfriend loves the regular gyro. It is super delish. Honestly I think a small is good enough. But for a dollar more if you want a bigger boy? Go for it! They just opened up for outdoor dining and we graciously sat and ordered. Beautiful night to eat outdoors sonit was perfect! Spanakopita appetizer was yummy with house tzatziki dipping sauce. For dinner had the 9" chicken Souvlaki wrap. Soooo yummy! My second time having this wrap. Good sized fresh grilled chicken. Again with tzatiziki sauce, onions, tomatos and greens. Honestly, I'm really disappointed by my experience here. I was in the mood for a good gyro and wanted to try this new place. It was super crowded so they directed me to sit at the bar. It was at least 5 minutes before someone gave me a menu, I had to stop someone and ask. Then another 5-10 before my order was taken, again I had to wave someone down for this. The waitress said she thought someone else already took my order, some miscommunication. Still, it's disappointing I had to ask someone for a menu and then again to take my order. I felt completely ignored. Other than the bad service during my visit, the food was ok. I ordered the large gyro and a side of garlic fries. Both are quite large portions, prices are very reasonable. If you decide to check out this place, make sure it's not too busy and try not to sit at the bar as you'll most likely be ignored. read more

I ordered two Greek salads on my lunch, I called in the order before hand and requested the dressing be left out of the salads. When I arrived they handed me everything and said everything was in the bag and asked me if I wanted utensils and napkins very polite. When I got back to work one of my salads had no salad dressing only one did.
