My dad and I ordered from here this afternoon. The place was completely packed but the three employees were working their butts off to get food out as fast as possible. It did take longer than expected to get our food but it was no fault of the employees. I've never seen tropical smoothie employees working as hard as they were to get orders out fast. One of the women working was also very good at communicating with guests about when food would be out. I was very impressed! This was a real nice restaurant. A lovely place to have access to while charging our Tesla. We ordered wraps. My wife got the chicken Caesar salad wrap, and I got the buffalo chicken wrap. We each enjoyed our selections. She was not able to finish hers as it was substantial. The staff was very kind and helpful. They were also efficient. This store was very clean and welcoming. Ordered three salads (one of each of their offerings) and a flat bread. Service was fast and friendly. My advice is to order the fruit sides (apples or bananas). We got one side of apple-kale slaw and it was small. I would stop again. read more

Ordered food via Tropical Smoothie App via delivery. The driver took our food to Bolivar and when I contacted the store I was told I would receive a refund. It has now been a week and still no refund. I have called 2 times this week with the promise that they refunded it but cannot produce a receipt nor have I received the credit back on my card. read more

I'm posting this review to make sure it gets read and seen. There are two Hispanic girls that work at the tropical Cafe on north Kentwood next to macadoodles here in Springfield. Twice these girls have been very rude to my wife and I. This Friday the 28 of February my wife and I went in to get smoothies. Both girls were working. I was reluctant to get a smoothie after my last visit when when they were rude to us but we both agreed to go ahead and get one each. When my wife gave her or orders 1 Bahama mama. 1 mocha madness. The girl literally snapped at my wide repeating back the order. Then rather start making the smoothies we requested she turned around and begin speaking very fast Spanish to the other girl for over five minutes while completing ignoring us. The girl who did make or smoothies acted very put out to make them. She barely put any fruit in my wife's smoothie and barely and chocolate flavor in mine. She also appeared very agitated making them. Slamming the smoothie pitchers she made them in on the counter while giving me very dirty looks. Finally she hands my wife and I or smoothies with a" here" attitude. This is unacceptable. My wife and I spoke to another employee about what happen when we went in this Saturday and she assured us the manager would be made aware of what happened the other employees are very friendly and make great smoothies. The other two Hispanic girls do not. Out smoothies we're terrible. They didn't even fill them too the top. I'm not sure what issues these two girls have. I'm willing to over look the first time they were rude to us buy not twice. They seriously need some retraining and attitude adjustments. They can give a good business a bad name. read more

Do not get avocado or rice on ANYTHING. The rice is hard and the avocado is SALTY. the smoothies are good but you never know what your gonna get. sometimes it's really watery and others you can't even get it through the straw. I seriously don't know what management is teaching them, If at all. Not to mention the PUTRID smell. I mean jfc they started to sweep and i almost threw up. staff was very pleasant. read more

Go to the one on campbell. i always ask them to make my smoothie extra thick, and the store on campbell always makes it perfect, but this store makes it extra liquid-y. its like drinking water. and they are rude as he** when you try to talk to them about it. and they try to rush so fast that they don't even cook the food all the way. if you want tropical, drive the extra 10 minutes to campbell. trust me. read more

Does this look like a smoothie or shaved ice? If I wanted shaved ice I wouldn't go to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I frequent TSC in Springfield (all locations), however I would recommend to anyone, if you want a smoothie, Do Not go to the north Kentwood location..... they are horrible! The other reviews are spot on. Terrible service, boy friends hanging around. We watched the employee make multiple trips back to her boyfriend sitting by the door, to kiss him on the head in the 30 min we where there. I walked in to place an order and no one acknowledged my presence for at least 15 mins. Two people were standing around. Looked like new people but still should have been in the action. Teo people with masks below their noses and therefore not doing their job. Service here has been incredibly slow the last several times I've been in. But this location makes me not wanna come back after bringing out the wrong sandwich the girl at the register tells me I'm wrong about what I ordered when the receipt showed I was right. Than they completely forget to bring our smoothies. So they sit on the counter turning into a warmer liquid.
