I came for the national smoothie day for the free smoothie- I love the Thai chicken wrap and was looking forward to it. The lady that is in charge is rude, rushed, and not friendly at all. She told me that next time I need to have the coupon pulled up on my phone before I come into the restaurant. She acted like I was the problem. Was barking orders at her sweet employee. Talking about how busy they were going to be. It was NOT a pleasant experience. After I got my order I told her she needed to say thank you to her customers because I was treated like I was the problem. She started to try to justify herself instead of apologizing. She needs to learn a few things about customer service. I see several reviews mention how rude she is. This location needs new management/ or training- or something. The lady (I think she's the manager) who took my order was SO extremely rude. I wanted to substitute a couple things in my smoothie and asked for no added sugar. The request seemed impossible. She murmured under her breath that it would be my fault if the smoothie tasted gross because of the lack of sugar. She said in a very frustrated tone, "PLEASE... just pay" when I hadn't even finished confirming my order. When I asked for an add-on advertised by the sign, she said they didn't do that. A friend in Georgia was raving about Tropical Smoothie Cafe so I was pumped to have one on my way home from physical therapy therapy. Their smoothies are a satisfying size and they have a lot of options, including to pay extra for things like protein powder or a multivitamin. I've tried a couple of their flatbreads and they're tasty and satisfying. The flatbreads ARE a serving size and not a massive amount of food, FYI, but they do come with side options. I've always ordered ahead and my smoothie/food has always been ready when I arrived. I usually take it to go so I've never eaten in the location, but it seems like a typical quick takeaway place. The owners are nice and make conversation but also respect your time. I have eaten in the little square out front on the benches once or twice to people watch while scarfing down my food. Overall, terrific. I do wish some of the limited time smoothies were around all the time, though. Oh- get their app and earn points for free stuff. read more

Smoothies good, give you a lot. Food is what you expect from a smoothie place, small portions, overpriced, does not look like the posters outside in the slightest. Terrible. Placed a large catering order: sandwiches, salad and smoothies for 10 people the day before. Confirmed order the next morning. Restaurant gave my order to wrong Door Dash driver, deliver me 6 smoothies instead. I called and was told a 2nd driver was bringing the rest of the order, that the food is on the way. Then 30 minutes later I am told they need to remake the food and that it will be another hour. Had they been honest up front about the error I could have picked up food somewhere else for the lunch I was hosting. Instead event was a mess. Will never patronize this business again. Mistakes happen but don't say food is on the way when it isn't. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is in the Shadowlake Towne Center mall. It's a franchise I believe, but I have not spotted many of them here in Omaha. They serve some simple lunch foods like salads and wraps, and of course, the smoothies. I liked that they had more green options for the smoothies (kale and spinach etc) which sets it apart from places like juice stop, which is also delicious but caters more to the fruity and sweet tastes. The owner is a very nice lady, who I enjoyed talking to. Great place to enjoy a casual lunch and healthy drink. read more

This place can thank Vegan Omaha for including it on the list of places with vegan eats! My friend and I were in Papillion and wanted to try something we never had before. When we saw that this place could substitute Beyond Meat in the wraps, we were intrigued! I believe the owners were working the counter and kitchen. Very friendly and customer focused. Thanked us for coming in and what not, the kinds of things that make you feel like they value your business. My friend and I split the Thai not-chicken and Jamaican jerk not-chicken wraps. The Thai had a peanut sauce that I really enjoyed. The Jamaican jerk tasted like barbecue to me, which for all I know is what jerk tastes like. I also got an Island Green smoothie with kale, spinach, mango, and pineapple. Very big serving, got a good dose of greens from that. Smoothy was decent and good size for the price. Cali chicken club was ok..edges of bread was overcooked..so I had to rip it off. finding a Tropical smoothie cafe in Nebraska was such a site for sore eyes! being from the east coast, this place is all over and I very much missed their delicious smoothies and wraps. It was kinda hard to find, it is tucked in next to the American Eagle and across from toys r us For $10, you can get a large all fruit smoothie, with a wrap or sand which and a bag of chips. the wraps are so amazing and healthy too! They also have vegetarian options. During the lunch hours, they give a 10 percent discount to military in uniform as well. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner read more
