A couple of friends took me to Sauced after seeing it on social media. It was a nice day out, so we thought that it would be a perfect day to sit in their back patio. There's only a couple seats inside, but that's no problem when there's so many tables outside and next door at Twisted Vine where you can get a nice cold drink with your meal. I ordered the bang bang chicken sandwich with their salt and pepper fries. The sandwich comes with so much chicken that I had to take a piece out to take a bit out of it! The tenders were so juicy and crispy even with the amazing bang bang sauce all over it. I haven't had salt and pepper fries in a while, but these were fantastic with their ranch dipping sauce. The staff was so friendly and quick to get our food out. They hand you little pagers to let you know when your order is done so you can hang out and not crowd the inside area. I think the restaurant is more set up for to go orders with only a drink fridge for drink options. We were dining in and started with the dipping tots. They came with a spicy ranch that was really yummy. Next came our entrees. They package everything up to-go style with fries as the side. Very good chicken sandwich, but HUGE. Mine came with 2 chicken patties. One patty eventually fell off and it was much easier to eat. Chicken was crispy and flavor was really good. I have been meaning to try Sauced for over a year now, but I knew I wanted to strategically plan when I go, since I have heard how popular they are and wait times can be long. We went on a Thursday night around 5pm and we were able to walk right in and order. Our wait time for food was only 20 minutes, so we went out to the patio to grab a seat. They do share a patio with Twisted Vine and there are servers from that come over and take your drink orders, which was super nice. I tried the Honey Sriracha Chicken Sandwich and it was amazing. I don't usually do too well with spice, but this was manageable. The tomato and lettuce on the sandwich helps give it a refreshing feel, since the sandwich is a bit heavy! My friend ordered the bang bang Dirty Curdies and I almost went in to order my own serving . The cheese curds are super fresh as well, i will probably order those every time I go in the future. I do wish they didn't serve the food in to-go boxes as it is a bit hard to eat. If you are cautious of the long wait times, try to plan going on an "off time" because it is worth the trip!! read more

I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco, which comes as a single taco for just under $10. I would highly recommend ordering more than one--not because of portion quality, but simply because it's so good you'll immediately wish you had more. While it doesn't completely fill you up on its own, the flavors absolutely deliver. The taco is extremely flavorful, with a perfectly balanced sauce that enhances the shrimp without overwhelming it or making a mess. The crunch from both the shell and the shrimp is incredibly satisfying and adds great texture to every bite. When I arrived around 5:30 p.m., it wasn't very busy, but by the time I left around 6:15 p.m., the place had started to fill up. I placed my order and waited about 45 minutes, as I did order additional items for my coworkers (not pictured). Parking is street-only, so be prepared to park nearby and walk in--especially during peak hours. I've heard a lot of great things about this spot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. My coworkers swear by the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, so that will be next on my list. I'm a big sauce girl so I was excited to try this place. It was good but nothing really stood out to me too much. I ate there which I feel like was kind of a mistake because it was ridiculously messy so I was kind of distracted by that. I would maybe try it again to go. I'm not sure how Sauced popped up on my radar but the website photos are awesome and enticing. I couldn't wait to try it! One photo you won't see on the site is a picture of the interior, and that's too bad. It wouldn't have stopped me from going, but I would have had different initial expectations. It's a hole in the wall. I dont say that disparagingly, but to prepare you for the crush. There were two couples in front of us when we walked in, and the result was an immediate backup. You order at the counter and the expectation, I gather, is that you will move to the back of the store and out to the courtyard. Too chilly for us to do that, so we grabbed one of two tables in the front window and watched the crowd enter and wrap the counter toward the back. This was at 1140 on a Saturday morning when Sauced opens at 1130. Good for them this popularity -- and well deserved, but again, be forewarned. We had scoured the online menu and knew exactly what we wanted, so placing our order at the counter was quick, but it came with what I believe is the standard response, "That'll be 20-30 minutes. Is that ok?" For us, it was perfectly fine. These chicken delights are hand breaded and prepared to order. Delicious takes time. (Upon reflection, it probably was closer to 40 minutes, though.) There were at least three couples for whom that wasn't OK, as they immediately turned and left. Not in a cranky angry way, just, "nope." Their loss. We started with Dippin' Tots, croquettes stuffed with cheese, bacon and chives. They come with a fantastic Kickin' Bacon Ranch Dip. Glad we tried them, they were good, but could've used a little more crunch on the outside. Sorry, no picture, but the website has a great one. Next up -- Adult Chicken Nuggets. These babies are a great size for dipping, they have a fantastic super-crunch that tastes delicious and doesn't tear up the roof of your mouth (IYKYK), and the selection of dipping sauces is adult and wildly varied. We tried Sweet Thai Chili (pretty standard), Bourbon Honey Mustard (the BEST -- after that Kickin' Bacon Ranch), Bourbon BBQ (guessing this was maybe 80% bourbon?), and Bang Bang. The overwhelming Bourbon in the BBQ sauce made it a disappointment, but the others were very good. Fries come with the nuggets and they were FANTASTIC! Crunchy, salty, slightly greasy without going mushy. I ate every last one! Next up, the Salted Caramel Whiskey sandwich. Super-sized, to say the least! We took one chicken tender off to save for later, and it was still an overwhelming sandwich. The brioche bun was just ok, as the bottom had steamed to mush from the heat and weight of the chicken. The chicken itself was nice, but almost nondescript, outside of the amazing crunch it still delivered even after being dipped in sauce. As for the salted caramel whiskey flavor, it came off as a delicate whisper of sweetness, but neither really caramel or whiskey. I like my fried chicken with iced tea, but sadly the variety offered was bottled Gold Peak, a really wretched option, so we went with Coke, but more sugar was not really what we needed this day. All in all, the food was delicious and the people are nice, but there's a vague sense of, "take this and go ..." which you might want to do, since it's pretty small inside. It made the "experience " less than amazing, but that's as much on me as anything, having had no idea what to expect. I'd definitely go back, there are so many options, but if YOU go -- allow lots of time, choose a nice day so you can sit outside, and be prepared for leftovers! From the outside, and inside - this place is unassuming. Very friendly staff and great service. We were told that after 2pm you can get adult beverages from the place beside them. Can I just start by saying WOW! The food here is amazing. I had high expectations and this place totally delivered. If I could rate just the food, it's a 5/5 stars. I can see why this place is super popular in Papillion. It's a tiny spot, definitely more for takeout than dining in. When we arrived, the line was out the door. We waited in line about 20 min to order, then found out it was another hour wait for our food. But honestly, it turned into a fun date night since we explored the shops and grabbed drinks at Twisted Vine while we waited. When our order was finally ready, the food blew me away and i'm already craving it again. I highly recommend getting their cheese curds with the bang bang sauce if you stop by. I found out they have a number you can call to order your food ahead of time to avoid the wait, I will definitely be using this next time. The service was horrific. We have a gluten free member in my family and asked if they did naked chicken which they replied yes. We ask multiple times to make sure it had no breading or fried coating on the top which the reply was yes. We double checked that they would still receive a garlic aioli sauce that came on the chicken, again replied with a yes. We sit for about 45 minutes waiting for the food before we are dinged to go eat it. After grabbing the food and inspecting it, the "naked tenders" were fully fried with no bun and no sauce as promised by the man at the register, who seemed luke a new trainee, and ALSO the manager who was a larger privileged middle aged white woman. When we confronted them about the mistake we were told all chicken was breaded and "no coating/breading" meant no bun. We asked if we could get our sauce that was supposed to be on the sandwich. They replied that we had to buy another sandwich if we wanted just the sauce. We attempted to give just the tender order back as a refund with which we were refused. Overall the food was lazily made because of cooking mountains of tenders in advance to only putting a different flavor of sauce to make it stand out. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy but not much decor, just white walls which is ok but there is an opportunity to make it look amazing. Literally the thing I hate most is giving a bad review but this experience went from 100 to 0 by the time of our exit...but let me start at the beginning. I was so flipping excited to go here and they dropped the ball...hard. We were greeted joyously by the person at the register who was patient while we decided. They were out of curds and Brussel sprouts but we were willing to try something different. The cauliflower was exceptional and got us truly giddy for our main courses. The disappointment started to set in when I received the skrewball burger that was marketed as a pb whiskey burger with bourbon blackberry jalapeño jam. Bruh. This was pb and grape jelly burger. No jalapeño flavor, no bourbon flavor, no spice, no depth. Honestly I was repulsed. I take part blame for not understanding the concept as I thought it'd be less pb flavored and more bourbon whiskey, sweet, sour, tangy flavor. I tried to eat just the burger meat but it was tasteless, season-less and over cooked - we were never asked how we'd like our burgers done. My accompaniment ordered the bang bang burger and she relayed that she enjoyed the flavors but it was also over cooked and the bottom bun was so soggy she couldn't even pick up the burger. I expressed my distaste on the exit saying "that wasn't for me, not sure if it was made right - really just tasted like a pb and smuckers burger." When a dark haired woman interjects, clearly feeling personally attacked by my preference, says she made it herself stating it's the most popular in Omaha and "maybe you just don't have the palate for it, honey." I was shocked and replied "Did you really just say that? What a backhanded statement" I chose to walk out at that point as she continued to add condescending remarks that I didn't choose to hear. Are you joking? Who says this to a customer? Who even treats someone, anyone, like this?? I didn't ask for a refund, honestly wanted to let them know my experience and if they recommend that menu item they should be clear to the customer what they are getting. What should have been a neutral conversation turned into passive aggressiveness and dismissive comments all while customers and staff watched. I will not return & I will never recommend. We walked in around 540ish. 3 people in front of us and by the time we ordered 2 behind us. We completed our order at 5:48 and she warned us the estimated time was 7:15 with appetizer coming out before. Appetizer did arrive at 7:17 and our entrees at 7:44. They were delicious. But I'm amazed on how slow it was. It's tough to judge how busy they are. She said we were the 102nd order on a Saturday. You can sit at the bar next door and wait for food so I can't tell who was waiting. We were outside in their patio and only 4 tables including us were full. If they can get this figured out in 30-45 minutes I'll come back. But no food is worth 2.5 hours from start to finish. Especially a simple Chicken sandwich and fries. Side note owner noticed my 6year old daugher and i kicked out of twisted vine because of their thur night rules and really tried hard to cover for them, water jellow and yogert for my lil girl. This is a fun, catchy place. Better show up an hour before you get to expect your food if anywhere near dinner time. Interior dining is very basic, self serve style. We always get takeout and are usually very pleased. The menu changes with signature items. Been posted on Facebook regularly. The staff is very friendly and hard-working. Glad to see, a business like this achieve such success. The chicken noodle soup, which sounds totally boring, is ridiculously good. I would consider taking a bath in it. read more

Wow! Everything was amazing! They have plenty of seating with inside and outside options, they also share the outside back patio with Twisted Vine so you can order dinner from Sauced and go next door and order drinks from Twisted! Best of both worlds! It was a little chilly night but with the fire it was nice. We got the curds with band bang sauce and wow, I could eat 5 orders for my entire meal! I also got 1 bang bang shrimp taco, I see why they finally added it to their main menu, it was delicious, so flavorful, and large! The sandwiches are HUGE and have a great portion of fries! You walk up and order at the counter, and get a number and they will find you and bring the food out to you. Can't wait to be back and try more off the menu! Parking is street parking down Main Street of Papillion! Food was quick everything came out in about 30 minutes. read more

My friend and I went an hour before close so I kind of expected the long wait, although it was long we were able to get drinks from next door at Twisted Vine (separate review to come)! Cheese curds were delicious and the chicken sandwich was huge! Two tenders on the sandwich! Chicken was oh so crispy and flavorful! I ate one tender with no bun and I still had the sandwich the next day at home. I also got dessert bourbon blueberry cheesecake it was so fresh, the fresh lemon zest was such a good touch! So delicious I forgot to take a picture!! I will definitely be back to try more food! read more
