The Big Dill with fries
Jay B.

Service was quick! Food was great, I tried dippin tots special and big dill chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy with crisp breading. The only complaint is there isn't much space in the shop to eat, the tables are rather small for the boxes and big sandwiches, would suggest getting it to-go.

I wanted to like this so much more than I did! :( The hype is unreal and people always rave about it but unfortunately I wasn't blown away. I do appreciate the massive size of the chicken and the creativity of the different sauces but I think I'm not the biggest fan of the breading when it comes down to it. I got the Big Dill and my Husband got the Bang Bang sandwich. We both really liked the fries. The plain and the brisket fries. This place does have a massive following. We went after 3 on Saturday and the wait was still over an hour. Luckily we went next door to have a few drinks while we waited and then could even eat there since seating is so limited.

Jalapeño popper cheesesteak, amazing, and huge!

There is never a meal that is not good here! Lucky to have such a talented female chef in Nebraska! Not my first time eating here, but I really wanted to try the jalapeño popper cheesesteak! This is how a cheesesteak is supposed to be made, thin sliced ribeye melt in your mouth! The seasonings were amazing but maybe a bit too spicy for me which I was surprised after the reviews but it's all good! I can take some spice but let's face it. It was so good. I just wanted to throw it in my mouth, but I had to go slowly because of the spice. My only comment other than it was amazing would be that there was too much meat on my bun... said no one ever! it was a huge sandwich plenty for two people! Next time when I am not shoving it in my face, I will pull half of the meat off and enjoy the bun to meat ratio and have a snack for later! Simply amazing! Thank you, Chef!

Really not a long wait and got a table inside! I ordered Jalapeño soup and was blown away when it came with tender chicken, potatoes, bacon, onions and carrots. All in a light broth with a slight hint of heat. GET IT! I got an extra order to take home. My friend had the Dill pickle chicken sandwich. It was so large she took 1/2 home and half of the fries for another meal. The fries are so crispy with a fabulous dipping sauce. Yummy!!! I got the French dip. It was great! Nice rich flavor in the dipping broth for the sandwich. 1/2 went home with me. Really nice people working there. Great service. Clean restaurant. My small do better is that I wish the cook was wearing plastic gloves instead of bare hands with all the ingredients, containers and cooking utensils he was touching as well as making the sandwiches. I can't wait to go back!!!

A cute and small restaurant in downtown papillion next door to twisted vine. So many good options to choose from will be trying the cauliflower next time !

I'm not sure how Sauced popped up on my radar but the website photos are awesome and enticing. I couldn't wait to try it! One photo you won't see on the site is a picture of the interior, and that's too bad. It wouldn't have stopped me from going, but I would have had different initial expectations. It's a hole in the wall. I dont say that disparagingly, but to prepare you for the crush. There were two couples in front of us when we walked in, and the result was an immediate backup. You order at the counter and the expectation, I gather, is that you will move to the back of the store and out to the courtyard. Too chilly for us to do that, so we grabbed one of two tables in the front window and watched the crowd enter and wrap the counter toward the back. This was at 1140 on a Saturday morning when Sauced opens at 1130. Good for them this popularity -- and well deserved, but again, be forewarned. We had scoured the online menu and knew exactly what we wanted, so placing our order at the counter was quick, but it came with what I believe is the standard response, "That'll be 20-30 minutes. Is that ok?" For us, it was perfectly fine. These chicken delights are hand breaded and prepared to order. Delicious takes time. (Upon reflection, it probably was closer to 40 minutes, though.) There were at least three couples for whom that wasn't OK, as they immediately turned and left. Not in a cranky angry way, just, "nope." Their loss. We started with Dippin' Tots, croquettes stuffed with cheese, bacon and chives. They come with a fantastic Kickin' Bacon Ranch Dip. Glad we tried them, they were good, but could've used a little more crunch on the outside. Sorry, no picture, but the website has a great one. Next up -- Adult Chicken Nuggets. These babies are a great size for dipping, they have a fantastic super-crunch that tastes delicious and doesn't tear up the roof of your mouth (IYKYK), and the selection of dipping sauces is adult and wildly varied. We tried Sweet Thai Chili (pretty standard), Bourbon Honey Mustard (the BEST -- after that Kickin' Bacon Ranch), Bourbon BBQ (guessing this was maybe 80% bourbon?), and Bang Bang. The overwhelming Bourbon in the BBQ sauce made it a disappointment, but the others were very good. Fries come with the nuggets and they were FANTASTIC! Crunchy, salty, slightly greasy without going mushy. I ate every last one! Next up, the Salted Caramel Whiskey sandwich. Super-sized, to say the least! We took one chicken tender off to save for later, and it was still an overwhelming sandwich. The brioche bun was just ok, as the bottom had steamed to mush from the heat and weight of the chicken. The chicken itself was nice, but almost nondescript, outside of the amazing crunch it still delivered even after being dipped in sauce. As for the salted caramel whiskey flavor, it came off as a delicate whisper of sweetness, but neither really caramel or whiskey. I like my fried chicken with iced tea, but sadly the variety offered was bottled Gold Peak, a really wretched option, so we went with Coke, but more sugar was not really what we needed this day. All in all, the food was delicious and the people are nice, but there's a vague sense of, "take this and go ..." which you might want to do, since it's pretty small inside. It made the "experience " less than amazing, but that's as much on me as anything, having had no idea what to expect. I'd definitely go back, there are so many options, but if YOU go -- allow lots of time, choose a nice day so you can sit outside, and be prepared for leftovers! (My pictures absolutely cannot compare with what is shown on their website.)

Tai chicken sandwich

The food was really great and had some unique options! The service I found a bit odd .. they have very limited seats available inside so we decided to eat outside which was fine and the outside seating area is very open and comfortable but we got 2 apps and 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks (71$) and had to physically go pick up each item inside because they don't have a server .. we also received our food in to go containers overall the food was really good but the service is a bit odd and needs improvement..

Chipotle Honey

Right on the main drag of old Papillion, this place is a great destination. Counter service when ordering, service was super helpful and patient with us first timers. Nashville not too hot, great flavor. Honey Chipotle has great flavor combinations, veggies make the sandwich. Will definitely be back.

From the outside, and inside - this place is unassuming. Very friendly staff and great service. We were told that after 2pm you can get adult beverages from the place beside them. Which was good to know. However - the show stopper is the food. Holy taste buds- The cauliflower could be a meal itself- fantastic! We got the Thai Chicken and the Nashville chicken. Yikes!!! I want to say the best chicken sandwich's I've had ! And get the sauces. All of them! They are all spot on great! A must try spot! Enjoy

Bang bang style fries

Wow wow wow!! So good. The dirty curdies with buffalo, bang bang style cauliflower, and bang bang style fries were all 10/10 and I'm craving them just thinking about it (please make the bang bang fries a regular menu item). The people are always so nice as well and I love their partnership with twisted vine. We got food at Alfaro but waiting at twisted vine with some drinks and it was an amazing experience. Love to see businesses supporting one another! Fair warning that there can be a long wait so recommend going closer to opening. Although, the wait is always worth it!

Dirty curdies with sauce on the side (garlic aolic, jalapeño cream, bang bang, ranch, and honey mustard)

The venue was small with few seatings inside, but it was located in a neat lit up area of Papillion. The small street area was lit up with Christmas lights and was a nice area to enjoy your meal. We got our meal to go and had to rush to make it to a show, so we weren't able to try our sandwiches fresh. However, even after a few hours the sandwiches were still fire but probably would've been better fresh. Absolutely not a disappointment! The cheese curds we had fresh and it was so good with the sauces esp garlic aolic, jalapeño cream, and bang bang. The Nashville chicken sandwich wasn't too spicy but it's very seasoned and more towards the sweeter side if you like sweet. The staff was nice and friendly, however the wait was long for the food - 25 minutes.

absolutely RIDICULOUS!! would not recommend ever coming back here nor recommend this place to anyone!! came in at 5pm and ordered 2 chicken sandwiches - already totaled up too $35 with only one of the sandwiches coming with fries. She notified us of a 45 minute wait so we were aware of a little wait so we jumped over to the winery next door. We got no text after 1 hour of waiting so when I come in to ask for an update she said it would be another 45 mins!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? what takes almost 2 hours to make 2 chicken sandwiches? After telling her that we have to leave for a game at 7 she still prompted that it was a 15 min wait. Oh and the cherry on top was when I asked for ranch with my fries she told me it was an extra dollar and that I had to wait in line to get that. SO SO RIDICULOUS! I don't know where management was but having poor teenage girls trying to get these tickets out with no training is NOT the move. All of this and a 2 hour wait for a sad sandwich, save yourself the time and money and go down the street too Runzas for the same quality and half the price

Chicken Parmesean Sando - looks great..wish that was what I was given.

In all fairness to the restaurant, this was my first visit, so it could be a one off. What I liked:…read more Clean restaurant, tables were clean, not sticky, menus are big, but not in disrepair, staff was very pleasant. They serve drinks Pepsi product and have a bar with margaritas, beer, etc. Didn't try a nothing special as the bar area didn't look like it gets used much so I wasn't confident on what the quality would be. Could be great, but presentation wasn't great. Didn't love: stood up front trying to figure out if we seat ourselves or get seated. The place was slow, so employees were hanging out in the kitchen area talking, one was laying across a table. Once we got their attention, we sat down. Good looking menu, my wife had the chicken and waffles. The tenders didn't look good, but she said they taste way better than they look. I had the teriyaki chicken sandwich and fries. Fries were great, typical good quality and fresh cut taste. Didn't like the chicken. Sauce was good, but you'll need a napkin as there is a lot. Chicken was chewy and a bit dry, so I'm not sure if it was plumped meat or if it was overcooked, but I only had 4 or 5 bites and left the rest. Ice tea, chicken sandwich and fries, chicken and waffles, and a bottle of beer was $42 before tip. Not an outrageous price at all, but on the higher end for locally owned restaurants in the area vs the quality of the meal. Again, it maybe better earlier in the day vs 6pm on a weeknight. May try again and see if it was just a one off. I gave them a four star, is really more like a 3.5. Service staff was pleasant, order was correct, etc, food quality was disappointing.
