I have been meaning to try Sauced for over a year now, but I knew I wanted to strategically plan when I go, since I have heard how popular they are and wait times can be long. We went on a Thursday night around 5pm and we were able to walk right in and order. Our wait time for food was only 20 minutes, so we went out to the patio to grab a seat. They do share a patio with Twisted Vine and there are servers from that come over and take your drink orders, which was super nice. I tried the Honey Sriracha Chicken Sandwich and it was amazing. I don't usually do too well with spice, but this was manageable. The tomato and lettuce on the sandwich helps give it a refreshing feel, since the sandwich is a bit heavy! My friend ordered the bang bang Dirty Curdies and I almost went in to order my own serving . The cheese curds are super fresh as well, i will probably order those every time I go in the future. I do wish they didn't serve the food in to-go boxes as it is a bit hard to eat. If you are cautious of the long wait times, try to plan going on an "off time" because it is worth the trip!!

Service was quick! Food was great, I tried dippin tots special and big dill chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy with crisp breading. The only complaint is there isn't much space in the shop to eat, the tables are rather small for the boxes and big sandwiches, would suggest getting it to-go.

    Bang Bang Shrimp Taco

I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco, which comes as a single taco for just under $10. I would highly recommend ordering more than one--not because of portion quality, but simply because it's so good you'll immediately wish you had more. While it doesn't completely fill you up on its own, the flavors absolutely deliver. The taco is extremely flavorful, with a perfectly balanced sauce that enhances the shrimp without overwhelming it or making a mess. The crunch from both the shell and the shrimp is incredibly satisfying and adds great texture to every bite. When I arrived around 5:30 p.m., it wasn't very busy, but by the time I left around 6:15 p.m., the place had started to fill up. I placed my order and waited about 45 minutes, as I did order additional items for my coworkers (not pictured). Parking is street-only, so be prepared to park nearby and walk in--especially during peak hours. I've heard a lot of great things about this spot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. My coworkers swear by the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, so that will be next on my list. While the prices are slightly higher than nearby options, the quality, flavor, and overall experience make it well worth both the wait and the cost.

I wanted to like this so much more than I did! :( The hype is unreal and people always rave about it but unfortunately I wasn't blown away. I do appreciate the massive size of the chicken and the creativity of the different sauces but I think I'm not the biggest fan of the breading when it comes down to it. I got the Big Dill and my Husband got the Bang Bang sandwich. We both really liked the fries. The plain and the brisket fries. This place does have a massive following. We went after 3 on Saturday and the wait was still over an hour. Luckily we went next door to have a few drinks while we waited and then could even eat there since seating is so limited.

Jalapeño popper cheesesteak, amazing, and huge!
    Chris D.

There is never a meal that is not good here! Lucky to have such a talented female chef in Nebraska! Not my first time eating here, but I really wanted to try the jalapeño popper cheesesteak! This is how a cheesesteak is supposed to be made, thin sliced ribeye melt in your mouth! The seasonings were amazing but maybe a bit too spicy for me which I was surprised after the reviews but it's all good! I can take some spice but let's face it. It was so good. I just wanted to throw it in my mouth, but I had to go slowly because of the spice. My only comment other than it was amazing would be that there was too much meat on my bun... said no one ever! it was a huge sandwich plenty for two people! Next time when I am not shoving it in my face, I will pull half of the meat off and enjoy the bun to meat ratio and have a snack for later! Simply amazing! Thank you, Chef!

Besides feeling a tad silly for ordering the wrong sandwich, I wasn't disappointed by the flavor of the Chipotle Honey Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. The fries were seasoned well too. Everything felt very authentic which I appreciated. The joint felt like its own. Make sure to grab lots of napkins and forks for eating! We went on a nice summer day, so it was nice to sit outside on the back patio while we waited for our food. Service was timely. No complaints!

Really not a long wait and got a table inside! I ordered Jalapeño soup and was blown away when it came with tender chicken, potatoes, bacon, onions and carrots. All in a light broth with a slight hint of heat. GET IT! I got an extra order to take home. My friend had the Dill pickle chicken sandwich. It was so large she took 1/2 home and half of the fries for another meal. The fries are so crispy with a fabulous dipping sauce. Yummy!!! I got the French dip. It was great! Nice rich flavor in the dipping broth for the sandwich. 1/2 went home with me. Really nice people working there. Great service. Clean restaurant. My small do better is that I wish the cook was wearing plastic gloves instead of bare hands with all the ingredients, containers and cooking utensils he was touching as well as making the sandwiches. I can't wait to go back!!!

A cute and small restaurant in downtown papillion next door to twisted vine. So many good options to choose from will be trying the cauliflower next time !

I'm not sure how Sauced popped up on my radar but the website photos are awesome and enticing. I couldn't wait to try it! One photo you won't see on the site is a picture of the interior, and that's too bad. It wouldn't have stopped me from going, but I would have had different initial expectations. It's a hole in the wall. I dont say that disparagingly, but to prepare you for the crush. There were two couples in front of us when we walked in, and the result was an immediate backup. You order at the counter and the expectation, I gather, is that you will move to the back of the store and out to the courtyard. Too chilly for us to do that, so we grabbed one of two tables in the front window and watched the crowd enter and wrap the counter toward the back. This was at 1140 on a Saturday morning when Sauced opens at 1130. Good for them this popularity -- and well deserved, but again, be forewarned. We had scoured the online menu and knew exactly what we wanted, so placing our order at the counter was quick, but it came with what I believe is the standard response, "That'll be 20-30 minutes. Is that ok?" For us, it was perfectly fine. These chicken delights are hand breaded and prepared to order. Delicious takes time. (Upon reflection, it probably was closer to 40 minutes, though.) There were at least three couples for whom that wasn't OK, as they immediately turned and left. Not in a cranky angry way, just, "nope." Their loss. We started with Dippin' Tots, croquettes stuffed with cheese, bacon and chives. They come with a fantastic Kickin' Bacon Ranch Dip. Glad we tried them, they were good, but could've used a little more crunch on the outside. Sorry, no picture, but the website has a great one. Next up -- Adult Chicken Nuggets. These babies are a great size for dipping, they have a fantastic super-crunch that tastes delicious and doesn't tear up the roof of your mouth (IYKYK), and the selection of dipping sauces is adult and wildly varied. We tried Sweet Thai Chili (pretty standard), Bourbon Honey Mustard (the BEST -- after that Kickin' Bacon Ranch), Bourbon BBQ (guessing this was maybe 80% bourbon?), and Bang Bang. The overwhelming Bourbon in the BBQ sauce made it a disappointment, but the others were very good. Fries come with the nuggets and they were FANTASTIC! Crunchy, salty, slightly greasy without going mushy. I ate every last one! Next up, the Salted Caramel Whiskey sandwich. Super-sized, to say the least! We took one chicken tender off to save for later, and it was still an overwhelming sandwich. The brioche bun was just ok, as the bottom had steamed to mush from the heat and weight of the chicken. The chicken itself was nice, but almost nondescript, outside of the amazing crunch it still delivered even after being dipped in sauce. As for the salted caramel whiskey flavor, it came off as a delicate whisper of sweetness, but neither really caramel or whiskey. I like my fried chicken with iced tea, but sadly the variety offered was bottled Gold Peak, a really wretched option, so we went with Coke, but more sugar was not really what we needed this day. All in all, the food was delicious and the people are nice, but there's a vague sense of, "take this and go ..." which you might want to do, since it's pretty small inside. It made the "experience " less than amazing, but that's as much on me as anything, having had no idea what to expect. I'd definitely go back, there are so many options, but if YOU go -- allow lots of time, choose a nice day so you can sit outside, and be prepared for leftovers! (My pictures absolutely cannot compare with what is shown on their website.)

Right on the main drag of old Papillion, this place is a great destination. Counter service when ordering, service was super helpful and patient with us first timers. Nashville not too hot, great flavor. Honey Chipotle has great flavor combinations, veggies make the sandwich. Will definitely be back.

From the outside, and inside - this place is unassuming. Very friendly staff and great service. We were told that after 2pm you can get adult beverages from the place beside them. Which was good to know. However - the show stopper is the food. Holy taste buds- The cauliflower could be a meal itself- fantastic! We got the Thai Chicken and the Nashville chicken. Yikes!!! I want to say the best chicken sandwich's I've had ! And get the sauces. All of them! They are all spot on great! A must try spot! Enjoy

The food was really great and had some unique options! The service I found a bit odd .. they have very limited seats available inside so we decided to eat outside which was fine and the outside seating area is very open and comfortable but we got 2 apps and 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks (71$) and had to physically go pick up each item inside because they don't have a server .. we also received our food in to go containers overall the food was really good but the service is a bit odd and needs improvement..

Wow wow wow!! So good. The dirty curdies with buffalo, bang bang style cauliflower, and bang bang style fries were all 10/10 and I'm craving them just thinking about it (please make the bang bang fries a regular menu item). The people are always so nice as well and I love their partnership with twisted vine. We got food at Alfaro but waiting at twisted vine with some drinks and it was an amazing experience. Love to see businesses supporting one another! Fair warning that there can be a long wait so recommend going closer to opening. Although, the wait is always worth it!

Over time service dropped off (the staff is very young) and the food quality deteriorated. Over several visits we were served undercooked pizza, burned pizza, cold wagyu meatballs, and a glass of wine that had been wiped out with the rag they used to clean the counters so it reeked of (and tasted like) ammonia. Tonight we went in to give it another try. We were seated at the bar, one seat away from the manager who was evidently working on schedules or something similar. We browsed the menu, drinks list, chatted among ourselves, watched an employee try to figure out how to pull a draft beer from the tap, watched the couple beside us get their dinner, watched the manager share inside jokes or memes with one of the wait staff, and waited, and waited... over the span of approximately 10 minutes, as wait staff stood in the corner chatting, we were NEVER greeted, offered water, asked if we were ready to order... nothing. The manager who was literally one seat away from us at the bar was oblivious. We finally had enough waiting and decided to go elsewhere. I politely tapped the manager on the shoulder and explained to him that we were leaving, and told him why. He was shocked. Totally clueless.‍

What hasn't changed (yet): Compared to other sub shop chains in Omaha, Jersey Mike's has better and fresher ingredients, and the sandwiches are larger. They also cost a lot more. Ordering is a dilemma, especially if you want several sandwiches made your way instead of Mike's Way. You can give all the istructions up front, in which case some of them will be forgotten or miscommunicated. Or you can supervise each step, which can be an extreme exercise in multitasking. What has changed this year: There seem to be more employees, but they're less customer-focused. The woman who took my order on the last few visits appears demoralized and becomes visibly frustrated, if not hostile, if I don't place my order in *exactly* the way she prefers. On my last visit, she directly ordered the sandwich-maker to disregard my instructions. I hope she finds a job where she can be happy and were she doesn't drive off customers. Prices have increased and discounts have become less generous. Private equity seeks short-term profit over customer satisfaction or loyalty. There have been changes to the menu and decor which haven't impacted me. The menu numbers for the items they still carry seem to all be the same.
