Both the pulled pork and brisket were flavourful, tender, and well worth coming back for. The coleslaw was a little watery for my taste, and the beans were just a touch sweeter than I prefer, but neither took away from the overall meal. The ambience was right on point -- exactly the kind of casual BBQ atmosphere you want. The prices are also very reasonable, which makes it an even better value. I especially appreciate that they offer a 10% military discount. Overall, a very solid BBQ spot with good food, good prices, and a great atmosphere. Decided to try again. Brisket and pulled pork this time. Ordered with mashed potatoes and baked beans. Service friendly and prompt, food was piping hot, got all the utensils, napkins and sauce. My baked beans were replaced with green beans, which other than lacking s&p were probably the best thing in the bag. The meats still were pretty dry and chewy. The sauce was good but didn't help the meat be more palatable. Mashed potatoes and gravy were just like the fake ones in the box, and the bread was perfectly made but had literally no flavor. The baked beans were good but not great, the pitmaster needs to add some seasoning. The loaded baked potatoes were huge. The pulled pork on top was great. They have sweet and unsweet tea as well as watermelon tea (which I have never seen before, but it was good). You order at the counter and they call your number. If I could give this place a zero, I would. I ordered a 2 meat meal, a 3 meat meal and a kids brisket sandwich and all the meals were horrible. The ribs were horrible. Didn't even fall off the bone. They weren't tender. They were so chewy and way overcooked. The brisket had no flavor and nothing special. The sides were plain. Seemed to be store bought. None of the sides tasted homemade. Stopped in today as I have seen the parking lot packed during weekday lunch time. Will start with the good. The service there is top notch. The cashier was awesome and very helpful. Great guy. Now to the food. Ordered 6 ribs with potato salad and green beans. Green beans were fantastic. Potato salad was mashed potatoes with hard pickles. Ribs were not even warm and they weren't even cut. Then to bite a rib was very dry and not cooked enough. I worked at a bbq restaurant early in my life and this experience was disappointing. Will not return here unfortunately. Best of luck read more

We went through the drive thru at about 1215pm got the 2 meat dinner brisket and hot links Curly fries and baked beans. What a fantastic lunch, reminded me so much of the Texas barbecue that we loved before we moved here. The hot links do have some heat to them and the brisket was so well trimmed that you didn't feel like you were eating a lot of fat. Evidently a lot of other people like it too, the parking lot was full and people were parking in the lot across the street and walking over. The curly fries and the baked beans were first class too. She really treats us right. We were still hungry (what, after THAT much food?!), So I got the wife more potato salad, and a loaded tater with chicken for me. That tater was yummy! Went through the drive through for some BBQ at lunchtime and I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed. The service was so-so, not very pleasant or friendly but no one insulted me either. The major let down was the brisket. Pretty dry, not very tender, and honestly not very smoky. The pulled chicken was an even bigger let down. Very dry meat with little discernible flavor. I didn't eat much of the chicken I ordered. The order also had big lumps of fat and skin just on the side. Yuck. I had a few rough times here last year, and I'm still peeved that they discontinued offering ham. But we come back often now. New management who goes above and beyond every time. Gluten-free BBQ sauce that we can purchase and take home. And consistently yummy food in a clean place. So my rating has gone from a reluctant 2 Star to a solid 5. First time coming here. We went during lunch; there was a good crowd but it wasn't too busy. I opted in for a loaded baked potato with pulled pork. It was definitely a generous portion that is sure to fill you up! The portion of meat to potato was good too. Like it spicy? They have a condiments bar filled with some mild and hot bbq sauce, pickles, and jalapenos. My friend had the potato skins and ribs which also looked fantastic. Coleslaw= -9 (negative) Absolutely no flavor. sauce was watered down mayo at best and barely even tasted like cabbage - very bland and disappointing. Ribs were tender, but not much flavor. No smoke flavor, no seasoning. HAD to use sauce to give them flavor. Not sure how this restaraunt earned a 'best of Omaha' award. I will NOT return and will NOT recommend to my friends. Was not the original BBQ lean for the evening but since the other place up the road RAN OUT of everything but burgers, we went here. Very old school set up but lots of choices. We went with brisket, pork ribs, corn, beans and a BBQ potato. Generally it was a good effort but the ribs were fatty and tough on the outside. The brisket was fatty too.
