Bbq platter

A friend suggested this place and it it did not disappoint! My husband and I tried the bbq platter with macaroni and cheese, baked beans and fries. The brisket was the best we have tried around Omaha! It was moist and very well seasoned! The cook came out and asked if we enjoyed are food. Told us to take his card so we would k ow when they were serving burnt ends. I want to come back and try my favorite brisket nachos. Cute little eating area with soft music in the background. It will be a definite repeat!

Brisket samich with 'seasoned' fries. (They weren't seasoned.)

I went here with a friend a couple months ago and we didn't have a great experience. I went one time before and they were out of meat so I was hoping the second time would be a lot better. We walk in and weren't greeted at all. We waited for about 10-15 minutes to order while a big order was being prepared for the customer in front of us. I order the brisket sandwich and fries. The kid helping us didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I saw the cook come out from the back and he looked like he didn't want to be there either. No smiles or anything. All of the food was just okay. You can tell its just reheated meat from the day or two before. The flavor was of the meat was good though. The fries were barely cooked. The sauces were just okay, again nothing special. I probably won't go back as the service was not good and the food was mediocre.

I ordered the brisket sandwich (next time will definitely try some of their sides) and the brisket was melt in your mouth and delicious.

We traveled a few blocks for fresh homemade Italian dishes, along with a number of neighbors who had the same idea. Arriving at 5:45-shortly after the 5:30 start time, we were surprised at the line that quickly multiplied with families taking advantage of the great weather and playground equipment that kept the young ones occupied. A wide variety of menu options were available including fresh pasta with a choice of alfredo, marinara or meat sauce. Meatball, brats and Italian sausage subs topped the sandwich offerings. Hamburgers and fries were offered but I didn't see or hear anyone ordering from the grill. A children's menu and family feast were also listed on the hand lettered menus taped to the truck. I ordered the fresh pasta with meat sauce and added a meatball. My husband opted for the Italian sausage sub with potato salad. My entree came with a breadstick and the meat sauce was so packed with meat that I probably could have skipped the added meatballs. My husband raved about his Italian sausage sandwich and I was impressed that they wrapped the bun in foil to keep it from soaking up sauce on the trip home. We had a short 5-7 minute wait for our meals which was delivered in foam takeout containers. Plastic napkin wrapped silverware was available for those eating in the park. The young lady taking orders was well equipped for the crowd and kept the line moving very efficiently. Credit cards were accepted and someone from the kitchen shouted a "thanks for coming" as we exited with our order. Food truck Friday is a welcome addition in our neighborhood and Pomodoro's did not disappoint.
