I've seen this place before but never ordered - today we ordered Uber eats from here and we were not disappointed!! One of the sandwiches (B-rad) had turkey, pork, and I think brisket on it. The meat is all so moist and flavorful!! We were so impressed. The second sandwich was (the Cadillac) had meat with Mac and cheese topped on it and for real it was 10/10. I was too busy eating it to be able to take a photo first!! The buns on the sandwiches were so soft as well, I wouldn't change anything about them! For our sides we wanted to try a bunch of stuff to share - so we got an order of beans, Mac and cheese, potato salad, and cornbread. My boyfriend LOVED the beans - super Smokey and sweet. My favorite was the Mac and cheese! Even though it was already on my sand which I snarfed half of the container. Both the potato salad and the cornbread were great. Very good BBQ for the price! We've had their food truck twice in our neighborhood now and I'm just constantly impressed by them. They're quick and the BBQ is quite amazing especially the brisket- juicy, tender, and flavorful. The burnt ends sandwich was good and while my husband didn't like that it was sauced, I loved it! The Mac and cheese was also good in flavor (corn bread was meh) The only things keeping me from a 5 star review is 1. I wish they sold the meat by the pound instead of sandwiches 2. Our visit to 402 BBQ left a little more to be wanted. They were set up at the Mastercraft building in N. Downtown, and there was a little craft fair going on at the time as well as live music and an "open house" for some of the business there. We wanted to try as many things as we could on the menu between the two of us, so we ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese on top, and sausage/brat with mac and cheese. Perhaps we got there just a little too late, but the food was luke warm when served to us and seemed like the end of the day type service too. The speed was also surprising, I was handed my meal to me immediately as I was paying. Almost TOO quickly. I understand it was BBQ but that was too fast. As far as the brisket and the pulled pork- A OK! Nothing to write home about but certainly not bad in the least. The sausage/brat was just a disappointment to me, I thought the casing was rubbery and not snappy, and the temperature was too cold for my taste. It was actually on the cold side, given it was cold outside I didn't expect a scalding hot sandwich but luke warm would have been nice. Like most Iowa and Nebraska barbeque places they have mediocre sides, average barbeque and high prices! Like most Midwest places they are rarely open and expect you to take off work to get their food that is average at best. Get a cook from down south (You only need 1 if you get them from a southern state) and pay them allot and have normal business hours if you want to make it! read more

They didn't really seem like burnt ends -- didn't have the char i expected -- but were still tasty and I enjoyed the sauce. The portion was generous for a food truck. This truck was in the high school parking lot of a homecoming parade I attended earlier this week so I decided to give it a go. I ordered the pulled pork because that is something I get at every single bbq place I go to, so comparisons are easy. The pulled pork here is just ok. Not a whole lot of flavor going on without the sauce, (which my husband also commented on when he tried it), and it wasn't shredded like I'm accustomed to - some of the chunks were huge (and not fall-apart tender) which made eating it as a sandwich difficult. I ordered a side of their bacon mac and cheese as well. The flavor was really good but the big soggy and fatty pieces of barely cooked bacon was unappetizing. Lived from Florida to Alaska, and ate all sorts of BBQ everywhere in between (including Memphis, Kansas City, and other BBQ meccas) - again, ranging from great to poor. I've even had "American style" BBQ all over the world, as well as local versions of BBQ on several continents. So yeah... -Our order: I ordered the B-rad sandwich (brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey), with the tangy sauce. The spousal unit had the pulled pork sandwich. The offspring had the burnt ends sandwich. I also had a small side of mac & cheese; the spouse had spicy beans; the boy had...dunno. Since my sandwich had pulled pork, I did not try the spouse's. She liked it - said it was good, moist, and smoky. And she liked the beans. I respect her opinion, but question her taste in BBQ since she's from Georgia. I did try the boy's burnt ends; very tender, but not amazing. I've had better and I've had worse. Whereas carne asada is how I judge Mexican food, brisket it how I judge BBQ. The brisket on my sandwich was ok...I could see some smoke ring, and it was moist, but fairly bland without the sauce (and I tend to believe that sauce should complement the flavor, not BE the flavor). But it looks like it came off the flat (which would make sense if the point was used for burnt ends). Problem is the flat tends to be less flavorful and more like roast beef, while the point tends to have better flavor. The pulled pork and turkey were, to me, ho-hum. -Bottom line: the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I don't know if it's worth doing again. read more

Food vendor at my workplace though they serve indoors rather than from the truck. They serve brisket, pulled pork, a combination of the two, and smoked turkey on a fresh Rotella's roll. Sandwiches are $5-7 each. Serve yourself handmade sauces include a sweet, a tangy, a hot and an "Alabama white" that I've never seen before. After trying a few, my personal favorite is the turkey sandwich with the white sauce at the recommendation of the server. BBQ Mac & Cheese is their side specialty. Got advance notice they were going to be in Regency today...so sauntered over... bit of a line but moved at a reasonable pace. I got a 3 meat sandwich meal with the slaw and a drink...and they had beans so added that on. The slaw was very purple but the dressing was nice...nothing special but not bad either. The beans had some meat in them which was an excellent sign but a bit bland for me...not enough bbq flavor. The meat was incredible moist...very nicely done..not dripping and plenty generous serving was piled high. Well worth the money. They take cash or cards. They use Rotella buns so very fresh and soft. Disclaimer...I'm hooked on KC hickory smoked meats...and these are very mild meats..no hint of hickory...almost hard to tell if it was smoked but that is what Omaha seems to like. Same with the beans... the KC spicy sweet sauce was way too bourbon flavored for my taste. Glad it came on the side And didn't ruin the meat. Not too shabby and not quite a 4 in my book, but let's round up today. Decided to try this out as they were in a parking lot near Memorial Park for the annual 4th of July show. As it was the 4th of July weekend, what better way to celebrate being a 'Merican than over indulging in some serious food. That said, I had to try out 'The Cadillac'. Brisket, pulled pork, Mac n cheese piled high on a hoagie bun, and of course I topped it off with their Hell's Pit BBQ sauce. It was served nice and hot and with a fork! Expect this to be a bit messy, but worth it in the end. Overall the meat was tender and sauce had a nice kick. First timer so nothing dramatic. Ordered the brisket sandwich with side of coleslaw. $7 so not too bad. Sandwich was good. Brisket had good flavor and nice smoke ring. Moist and was served on an extremely fresh rotellas bun. First glance and I thought the sandwich a bit small but they really stuffed in the meat. Cole slaw was ok. It wasn't the creamy kind so I just put it on my sandwich "Memphis style". Got the "big red" sauce... Again just ok. Add all those three together made a darn good sandwich. Pluses- very good brisket and fresh bun Neutral- sauce and coleslaw Negatives- hard to track them down! Darn food trucks are always moving. And, no baked beans. Would give them a 3 1/2 stars if I could. Good mobile BBQ! Happened to drive past their truck one day, so made it a mission to get back and try it out. Super nice gal running the truck the day I went. I ordered a pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich. Of course after all of the reviews I also ordered some mac-n-cheese. The pork sandwich was very tender...perhaps not as "smoky" of a flavor as I prefer, but good none-the-less. Decided I would save that sandwich for the next day, and moved on to the brisket sandwich. The brisket was very good...more of a smoky flavor and definitely tender. I then dug into the mac-n-cheese, and oh wow...it was really tasty! Very smoky flavor and good shredded smoked meat mixed in. Not sure what type of cheeses they use, but it was awesome. Their homemade BBQ sauce was good too...you could definitely tell it was homemade as you could taste the different ingredients. I visited the 402BBQ outside of the AAA Call Center. I had the Ruckus Dog and a Bacon wrapped Jalapeno Popper with Sweet Bourbon for the barbecue sauce. The Bacon wrapped Jalapeno Popper was fantastic! Bacon with a spicy Jalapeno and cream cheese. Yes please! I would do it again in a heart beat. The Ruckus Dog was great as well. The Dog comes with Macaroni and Cheese with Bacon in it on top. At first I was a little hesitant but it turned out to complement the dog and the great Rotella's bread the dog came on. The only part of the Ruckus Dog I thought could be improved was the Dog itself. It says homemade on the menu and when I looked inside it looked like it was it just tasted like it could use some more spices. I'm not sure what kind but if it hadn't had the mac & cheese on it then it would have been bland city. The Sweet Bourbon was sweet as advertised and just as good, I'm thinking the next time I eat here I'm going to try the Big Red. I can't wait to try them again. read more

They came up by my job, so I thought I would give it them a try. I ordered the burnt ends with red beans and rice. There was nothing "burnt" about the ends. The were soft, chewy and fatty with no flavor. They seemed like random pieces of beef sitting in a crock pot for a while. This truck came out for an event we had this Saturday for the lunch. I am vegetarian and don't get good BBQ very often - and I had the Jackfruit BBQ sandwich and it was incredible! The jackfruit actually shreds similar to how pulled pork does - I had no idea! The sauce on it was good, but the Big Red sauce was an extra delicious zing of flavor. Loved it! I got the Cadillac based on a review from a friend. It was great, the meat was good and the macaroni on top was good and a great combination. However, the sauce I ordered was more like jelly than sauce.... Had it not been for the sauce being jelly I would have undoubtedly given them five stars instead of four. I saw this truck by my work, and figured "what the hell I'll give it a shot. I brought 5 people with me from work.. A couple of them real foody types.. we were a bit put off by the line growing outside the truck.. thinking it would make us run over on lunc but once we saw the way That they were moving through the customers.. we knew it wouldn't be a problem. The truck came to my work. I had the smoked turkey sandwich and beans. These were the absolute best beans I have had in Omaha! The turkey was juicy and well-seasoned. I personally am not a fan of Rotilla bread - I prefer a bun that is chewier. I tried Sweet Bourbon, Big Red, and Southwest Lover sauce and preferred the Big Red. 402 bbq, good quality eating with fair prices. If you've not tried 402 then you need to make point to do so. I do not frequent food trucks too often but I feel these folks are worth writing about. I thought they had a good selection of smoked meat choices along with some good sides, specifically the smoked mac n cheese. I'm a big brisket fan so opted for the brisket and I was not disappointed.
