Brazo de Reina

The small, nicely decorated room has original art on the walls that's for sale. Music is various covers in new age style, but understated. There are some soft furnishings for enjoying coffee and pastries plus seven small sets of tables and chairs. The counter person was friendly and answered questions about the simple menu. An interesting selection of pastries are displayed and a posted coffee menu with lattes etc. We ordered three empanadas and a dessert. Drinks are canned soda and sparking water, but there's also a free still water dispenser. I had the beef empanada and Bookguy ordered one shrimp and one with chicken and mushrooms. They are only $5 each, so not huge, but enough. One plus 1/2 of the brazo de reina slice filled me up. Bookguy was happy having two, but he didn't care for the one with shrimp because it was crunchy--not what he expected. I liked the beef empanada except for the olive. We shared the brazo de reina which proved to be delicious. The room was a bit chilly, pardon the pun, since the food is Chilean. I plan to come back for coffee and another pastry...or two.

Went there for the first time today and sad we haven't gone there sooner!! The ambiance was wonderful, the service was great but the Churassco Italiano and Lemon Dessert! were stellar!! Will absolutely be going back!

Breakfast and beef empanadas

Drove by days ago and eyed the sidewalk sign. Decided to return one day. That day came and I grabbed a takeout order: the 3 empanadas + soda, $14. Added the special shrimp empanada, $7. All four empanadas were delicious. The shrimp was my favorite followed by the breakfast one with scrambled eggs, chicken and then beef. Would have loved a side option (e.g. beans). I also wanted more pebre salsa. Menu includes sandwiches, but may be hard to skip the empanadas once you've tasted them. Also has coffees and desserts. It has that coffee shop relaxation vibe. Very nice, clean interior. Service was very friendly. Highly recommended.

This small, cozy place has great Empanadas ( Chilean style). Coffee is amazing,, my favor is Hot Mocha. Besides the delicious empanadas, this place is great for relaxing with a cozy of coffee and read a book. Staff is amazing and they also have frozen empanadas. Deliciosas empanadas y magnifico cafe. Buen ambiente para relajarce con una taza de cafe....

Breakfast empanada and beef empanada along with Cappuccino.

I am always a little nervous about "small plates" - like, how small are we talking about? I feel…read morethe same way about sushi. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this but surely I am not the only one, right? My husband and I came here for lunch. We ordered 3 items total and that was pretty much exactly the right amount of food. We got the chicken skewers, the chicken empanadas, and the fish ceviche. Everything was well-prepared and tasty. I always love sauces and those were good too. We sat outside, which was a little noisy due to streetcar construction, but it was a nice day. Pleasant music was playing. Dining room looked lovely and welcoming as well. Service was good. I liked it all - and I really loved the Topo Chico limeade. I didn't see it on the menu so you might have to ask for it. You should!

My wife and I went here recently for a date night, and we really enjoyed everything. The menu is tapas, so we ordered a bunch of different food and shared, with the exception of one dish I would order everything else again in a heartbeat. We started out with a few drinks, which were very tasty, then ordered the house guacamole with plantain chips, the carnitas bravas, grilled chicken skewers, chicken and beef empanadas, shrimp cocktail, and Peruvian ceviche. All were excellent with the exception of the ceviche, there was nothing wrong with it, just compared to everything else it was fairly bland. The plantain chips and guacamole were so good together, way better than tortilla chips. If I had to pick a favorite I'd say the carnitas bravas, perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of crispy. Service was fine, the waiter took care of our needs and let us enjoy each other's company, I appreciate that. I'd say 4.5 stars overall, but closer to 5, very impressed.

This woman owned business has been in the south Omaha area for approximately 4 to 5 years and…read morerecently opened its newest location at 132nd and center. I've been to this location before but it's been a while and we really enjoyed coming back. Came in on a Saturday afternoon when it's fairly typical to have live mariachi bands roving the restaurant. The restaurant is large, and has a fun fiesta of decor. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated without reservations. It should be noted that they will take reservations during the week, but not on weekends. There are a number of large tables that can accommodate bigger groups. Complementary parking lot is available out front. However, it does get a little tight during their busy times. This is an interesting Mexican restaurant as it reminds me of something more typical of what you would find on the Yucatán peninsula. Shrimp and mixed ceviche dishes, a large variety of fish dishes, including whole fish that are very traditional for that part of Mexico. They also serve excellent salsa and guacamole, however, this is not the type of Mexican restaurant you can order dishes of queso, or some of the more traditional dishes that you would find at other, more Americanized restaurants. Our server, Christine V was super! We got there a little early in order to secure a larger table off to the side since our infant granddaughter is going to be joining us for a birthday celebration. This restaurant well they don't allow you to bring it outside cakes for dessert offer a variety of desserts that can be offered for special occasions. We were able to select a strawberry Tres Leche cake, which was just perfect for the occasion. We also enjoyed their margaritas, which were excellent and offered in the variety of enormous proportions! Everything that was ordered, was generous in quantity and delicious and quality that included a variety of fajitas and shrimp dishes. This location also offers seafood rolls that are prepared at a sushi counter. For those that are a little less brave there are a number of options that offer everything cooked and prepared just like you would find in any local sushi restaurant and as good. The one thing I also love about this restaurant is that it is immaculately clean. There's a dedicated crew that roams and never leaves anything unbussed for long. Everything appears to be wiped, sanitized, and swept in between every round of customers which is brisk. The manager came around and checked on us to ensure we have everything we need and offered us to go bags. Everything about this visit was very positive. Highly recommend this location as it's been voted one of the best of Omaha for 2023.

We initially decided to come here because our daughter's name is Isla and we thought she would think it was cool to see her name when we explained to her what it was called but the food will definitely motivate us to come back. The service was hit or miss and definitely on the slower side, but we will definitely come back to try some other new dishes next time. I can't actually find it on pictures of the menu, but the dish we ordered was served in a pineapple and it was phenomenal!
